500 Former Generals, Admirals Announce Support for Romney In Powerful Full-Page Ad
Roughly 500 senior military officials are endorsing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in a full-page ad set to run in the Washington Times on Monday, the Washington Free Beacon reports.
“We, the undersigned, proudly support Governor Mitt Romney as our nation’s next President and Commander-in-Chief,” the ad reads, followed by a staggering list of names and titles. Many of the signatories are former generals and admirals.
TheBlaze was sent an advanced copy of how the ad is expected to appear:

The group is making it clear that they are not directly affiliated with the Romney campaign– these 500 senior military leaders created and paid for the ad themselves.
The Washington Free Beacon concludes:
The [group's] spokesman added that 389 of the individuals on the list are on the Romney Military Advisory Council, too. The Romney campaign has already announced these individuals’ endorsement.
“They have 389 on their list,” the spokesman said, while “we have almost 500.”
The list comes as a Military Times survey revealed that active duty, National Guard, and military reserve members support Romney over Obama by a two to one margin.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 1:18amI wish this HUGE endorsement could have come out earlier. Our great military has always protected us from enimies abroad. Is this the first time they had to act at home to such a threat? This also might be the first time that words would win a war for our military. Please God, bless the USA.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 11:24amNo story here! These guys are leaders and educated in getting the job done or heads will fall. Obama had more experience than 10 of these guys or do you forget he was a community organizer. Obama also was a lawyer and anyone know a lawyer can fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

Given how the Obama Administration handled the Libya fiasco, I’m surprised the ratio is ONLY two-to-one! One of the “prime directives” in the military is to NEVER leave a comrade behind and, yet, it appears that’s EXACTLY what this Administration did in Libya! Our fellow countrymen were under siege and attack SEVEN HOURS, plenty of time to get MASSIVE reinforcements there! But, no, according to Panetta they couldn’t risk trying to save those people because they “didn’t have enough information.” BALONEY!
It’s inconceivable to me how ANY of our active duty military personnel could support a President who will leave them to die if THEY find themselves under attack!

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 12:55amLet me be perfectly clear, I don’t like these guys either. I knew about Benghazi, I let Americans die and I lied about it. I lie a lot.
I even lied about ordering the Osama bin Laden raid. CIA Director Panetta, signed the “execute orders” while I was golfing. He only informed me after SEAL Team 6 had entered Pakistani air space.
http://www.wnd.com/2012/10/osama-bin-laden-raid-not-obamas-call/
After the daring raid not only did I take credit, but I exposed and exploited SEAL Team 6 for political advantage. Leaks, interviews and decisions by me and my staff, compromised national security while risking the lives of Special Operations forces and intelligence operatives. http://www.dishonorabledisclosure.com/
Every State and Federal Government employee, including all elected public servants, swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Their failure to enforce Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution or effectively challenge my eligibility based on my fraudulently altered birth certificate, selective service registration and stolen CT SS#, underscores the futility of blindly embracing propaganda by servile media offering false hope for extra change, rather than facts.
Make no mistake, having usurped the Presidency, I’ve seditiously spent blood, treasure and ignored the Constitution. Though it be treason, I’ll continue doing so for as long as I’m allowed.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 1:02amUnfortunately, the only people who will see the ad already have conservative leanings, or they wouldn’t be reading the Times, so they’re just preaching to the choir. The liberals I know (the people who really need to see it) wouldn’t touch the Times because it’s too conservative for them. They should put the ad in the Washington Post instead.

He (Obama) has a dearth of understanding of our military and military matters. We hear he is uncomfortable in the presence of ranking military and seldom meets with them. He is not a person who can make decisions, and he takes an extraordinary amount of time to do so, leading to such unseemly labels for a commander in chief as “ditherer in chief.”
President Obama may have set records for voting “present” on important issues. He cowers from crisis decisions. He is a politician who thinks only in terms of votes and his image. Although I was a psychology major back in the day (I’d love to hear a professional analyze risk and Obama), I won’t try to define his insides, but I believe he is risk-averse – fearful of risk – and that is the basis of the Obama-Panetta doctrine.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 9:20am@Diane:
That’s right. Additionally, Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady, retired from the U.S. Army and a recipient of the United States military’s highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, also said in the article:
“The answer is the Obama-Panetta Doctrine. In response to the horrible abandonment of dying Americans in Benghazi, Defense Secretary Panetta said: “(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place.”
“…On its face, that is a remarkable, indeed incomprehensible, change from America’s doctrine in past wars…I can’t think of a war we fought in which we didn’t go into harm’s way without real-time information or to save lives – something the president refused to do in Benghazi.”
The fact that the Obama doctrine would leave anyone behind coupled with his change in our rules of engagement that are killing our soldiers are unconscionable to our fighting military heroes!

This ad should have come out long ago. It could have won over some of the unaffiliated voters and Obama voters. This ad seems like too little, too late.

Anyway, since 0bama would consider it reprehensible to have served with the Armed Forces like Clinton, there would be no former military unit to complain about his short lived actions in a combat zone. Remember, John Kerry was kicked out of Vietnam and sent stateside because of his silly and dangerous antics. Essentially, relieved of duty because he was a danger to both he and his men. Also, Kerry did shoot a POW in the back with a .50 cal machine gun. What a he-man, hunh? All that the Swift Boaters did was tell the public just how big of an idiot Kerry was in a combat zone.
