Romney Landslide: Here Are the Biggest Names Predicting It & How It Will Happen

More and more pundits on both political sides are taking the electoral leap and predicting a landslide for Mitt Romney. Here are some notable ones:

1. CNBC Anchor Larry Kudlow

Kudlow said on his CNBC show “The Kudlow Report” on Oct. 25:  ”I am now predicting a 330 vote electoral landslide.”

2.  MSNBC Host Joe Scarborough

Based on Scarborough’s insights on Politico:

“But my gut tells me there are two likely scenarios: (1) President Obama will squeak out a narrow Electoral College victory or (2) Mitt Romney will carry Ohio and be swept into office by a comfortable margin.

After practicing politics for 20 years, I suppose I would rather be in Mitt Romney’s shoes than Barack Obama’s. Incumbents who are under 50 percent two weeks out usually go down to defeat.”

3.  Strategist Karl Rove

Rove said Wednesday in the Wall Street Journal:

“In addition to the data, the anecdotal and intangible evidence–from crowd sizes to each side’s closing arguments–give the sense that the odds favor Mr. Romney. They do. My prediction: Sometime after the cock crows on the morning of Nov. 7, Mitt Romney will be declared America’s 45th president. Let’s call it 51%-48%, with Mr. Romney carrying at least 279 Electoral College votes, probably more.”

4.  Columnist George Will

George Will outlined a huge Romney Election Day in an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” predicting a 321-217 landslide that included nearly every swing state including Minnesota.

5.  Pundit Dick Morris

In a recent editorial for The Hill, Morris explained in detail his landslide prediction:

“Reasonable voters saw that the voice of hope and optimism and positivism was Romney while the president was only a nitpicking, quarrelsome, negative figure. The contrast does not work in Obama’s favor. His erosion began shortly after the conventions when Indiana (10 votes) and North Carolina (15) moved to Romney (in addition to the 179 votes that states that McCain carried cast this year).

Then, in October, Obama lost the Southern swing states of Florida (29) and Virginia (13). He also lost Colorado (10), bringing his total to 255 votes. And now, he faces the erosion of the northern swing states: Ohio (18), New Hampshire (4) and Iowa (6). Only in the union-anchored state of Nevada (9) does Obama still cling to a lead.

In the next few days, the battle will move to Pennsylvania (20), Michigan (15), Wisconsin (10) and Minnesota (16). Ahead in Pennsylvania, tied in Michigan and Wisconsin, and slightly behind in Minnesota, these new swing states look to be the battleground.”

Morris also predicted a huge day for the GOP in the Senate:

“The most likely outcome? Eight GOP takeaways and two giveaways for a net gain of six. A 53-47 Senate, just like we have now, only opposite. Barack Obama’s parting gift to the Democratic Party.”

6.  Columnist Micheal Barone

The Washington Examiner columnist says Romney will walk away with 315 electoral votes:

”Bottom line: Romney 315, Obama 223. That sounds high for Romney. But he could drop Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and still win the election. Fundamentals.”

7. Las Vegas oddsmaker Wayne Allen Root

Root said in a column posted on FoxNews.com:

“I’m predicting a 5 to 7 point popular vote victory. Electorally it won’t even be that close. Romney will win many states that went to Obama in 2008. I’m predicting Romney victories in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Virginia, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Indiana. I predict a Romney victory by 100 to 120 electoral votes.”

 7. Israel

Romney Landslide: Here Are The Biggest Names Predicting It & How It Will Happen

Abe Katsman of the Times of Israel writes of the Romney landslide among American voting in Israel:

“The Presidential election results are in.  Well, at least the votes from Americans in Israel.  Not one to keep readers in suspense, I’ll reveal the most important numbers up front: Gov. Mitt Romney received 85%–85%!–of the vote; President Obama managed only 14.3%.  This,  according to exit polling just released by iVoteIsrael, the non-partisan group promoting and facilitating voting by U.S. citizens currently in Israel.  Their statistics reveal some fascinating results.  More importantly, these results have implications for the outcome of next week’s election.  (Again, not to keep you in suspense: those implications favor the Republicans.)”

BONUS: Glenn Beck

“321-217 victory for Romney in the electoral college.”

I wonder how different it would be today if Dick Morris had kept his mouth shut about Hillary and Bill Clinton during the 2008 campaign for the Democratic Nomination. Dick Morris needs to go. He constantly bashed his former employers and because of his nightly dose of vitriol, we got Obama and a racial divide never seen before. Of course, Morris never let out any dirt about Obama and his former shenanigans. He actually “glowed” when Obama got the nomination, even though Obama “stole” the nomination, Chicago style, with a little help from Morris. Now, we have a new conversation in this country. After seeing one analyst on Fox News proclaim that the Republicans can never present an all white ticket again, I nearly lost it. That is their fix? That is what they see as the road to the WH? They need more than a make over; they need to learn to speak to the people and not AT the people.

Kudos for keeping this page up even after the election. That takes some stones. Reading through the comments here, I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry. How do some of you feel now, the ones where were “bwahaha”-ing at Nate Silver and so confident in the predictions of the bozos in the lead article? Look, folks, we are in this together. You need – those of you have the capacity – to come back from the cliff. Step out of the bubble. You don’t need to become a liberal like me. We can still disagree. But we are Americans. We really do have to be able to at least agree on what counts as a fact, and then from there our different philosophies at least have a common framework in which to debate. If you guys won’t recognize the existence of facts . . . we’re screwed, frankly.

The China loving communist sympathizer. The pathological liar. The cult member. Romney, the two time loser. He had such a smirk on his face during the first debate. Got that smirk wiped right off his face didn’t he? All those millionaires and billionaires donating to the superPACs and still he lost.

40% will vote for Obama no matter what. This includes all those who know who signs their paycheck so to speak.

Paul Ryan knows who signs his government paycheck. Does that mean he is among the 40%?

The religious right lost us this election. Democrats pound people like Akin and Mourdock and what can we do about it? How can we win when even school children know that Freedom of Religion is integral to our nation and we keep putting up idiot candidates who seem to think imposing Christianity on people who don’t want it is the most important thing to do? If the GOP doesn’t drop this dead weight before 2016 I’m voting Libertarian.

Sounds like more than a few on here are a little miffed by these predictions. My only question is why? They are merely opinions and everyone has one, so why get upset over someone’s opinion? It’s the same with polls. Wait to get upset over the result if it isn’t in your favor. At least then it would make a little sense. Most of you sound like blithering idiots. And yes, I hope these predicitions do come to fruition, but I hold no stock in them whatsoever. Also, I won’t run screaming and shouting at these folks if they are wrong. I’ll just blame the clueless and ignorant that vote to keep this idiot in office.

We can only pray for an end to the WORST Presidency, the MOST arrogant
Presidency, and the LAMEST Presidency in American history. Yet….there
seems to be a large segment of the population that STILL believes this guy
is Jesus ??? I am immensely afraid for our nation if there exists such a large
number of IDIOTS in our country ??? Of course….many of these voters do not
know who the Vice President of the United States is. They also could not tell
you WHERE Benghazi is ??? When recently asked, an Obama supporter said,
    ” Hmmm….Where is Ben Gazi….he’s at Wal-Mart, maybe, I don’t know? ”
Aaaaaah America….we have SO MUCH to look forward to with citizens like this
voting for people like Barack Hussein Obama. Secession from the union is looking

I notice there are still a few nutcases that support Ron Paul. It is really a quite pathetic picture. ron paul (he is such a minor figure in America, I can’t in good conscience capitalize his name) both completely misunderstands and hates the US Constitution. He should have been thrown out of congress years ago for incompetence and imprisoned for life as a traitor. Just saying.

West Coast Patriot, how can you call your self a patriot and still want Mr. Obama as the President? Based on just a few facts, 1. Mr. Ayres, 2. his mentor was a Communist,3. His view of the Military. 4. his lack of basic understanding of how the economy of this country works.5. his plan to take from you and give to someone who does not work, or should I say won’t work. 6. his deal with Putin and the islands of Alaska. 6.his health care plan. 7. saying he would end the wars, (he used President Bush’s original out date) 7. Either he was so out of touch with Bengazi, he should not be in charge, or he was in control and he made the choice to to send in a team, either way it is on him. 8. he has tried to strip away everything good about this country and wants to replace it with Socialism. 9. He was proven a liar, in two of the debates. and continued the lie on the campaign trail. He was raised a Muslim, Can you imagine after Pear harbor, a Japanese man would be elected President of this country. I am sorry. He should not be in that office. One last thing. Osama has been gone a very long time. No body, the head removed and dumped at sea, and then half of Seal Team six killed in a Helicopter crash a short time after, really? you really believe that? Just curious.

You’re correct, Katsman isn’t the voice of Israel, nor does he purport to be their voice. He’s just reporting his findings. But, I can tell you that in a very close relative’s very, very large American Synogogue (he’s an officer there and in attendance at least three times a week), he’s reported that he’s “blown away” by the numbers of similarly elderly members who’ve expressed their total support for the Romney-Ryan team. I just hope that his observation is proven accurate.

      1. The Right spent decades spitting on them, only recently embracing them as a cynical wedge issue and they know it.

I have been praying for a Romney win and my heart is breaking over the possibility of an Obama win. When Obama was voted in I stood in disbelief and watched this nightmare decend on this country. I have fought for the impeachement of Obama for the past 4-years and I still to this day believe that is what the good people of this country should have done. I have studied Islam for over 10-yrs and I know the great evil that is looming over this country.

The only thing that has kept me sane is the knowledge that God in his lovingkindness will keep his people even through another Obama term, but the thought of what that time will be like is very sobering and grim.

I just pray that God in his loving kindness will bestow mercy and grace upon us, we don’t deserve it, but I have asked Him to forgive us our sins, my sins, that we would hear from heaven and He would heal this land.

Mitt Romney isn’t a Christian, (because Mormonism isn’t Christianity), and I would have prefered a Christian, but a good man is a start. Even IF Romney wins it won’t be easy, Romney’s not perfect, but we need a man of moral character at the helm.

I’ve never praised Chri Christie, he’s in league with the Muslims big time. Gov. Christie is one the Republicans we need to get rid of; he is so sympathic to C.A.I.R. OIC and the Muslim Brotherhood. Christie has championed the Muslim cause, including Sharia Law in this country.

When I saw Gov. Chrisie on TV he made me physical ill why? because I know what he stands for and there is nothing appealing about him.

Here is an updated Party affiliation list. Goes up to October 2012. Republicans – 39.1% , Democrats – 33.3%, and Independents – 27.5%. With those numbers Obama should loose big.
On the other side, as Stalin said “It doesn’t matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes.”

I didn’t want Romney bc he’s a Mormon, I was looking for a man with solid Christian values. When Romney became the Republican candidate for president, I was at first sad, but I knew that the goal was to “cut off the head” of the serpent in office, namely Obama; to do that we would need to be united, at the ballot box, in our fight for this country. It was going to take, Jews, Christians and every other group out there. I also knew that not all the presidents of this country have been Christian; yes for the most part all have claimed to be Christian.

Mitt Romney is a good man, a moral man and he is a man of economic experience. If anyone has the ability to turn this country around, its someone with his experience. Maybe its for such a time as this Mitt Romney was born; I hope so and I pray that he will win.

Mitt may not have had me on the point of his religion, but when I read his words, “I will never apologize for this country” I said, I could and would vote for him. I am thankful for Mitt Romney’s and Paul Ryan’s pride and love of this country. They are both good men and they have fought a good, honorable fight!

I agree with you and my heart breaks at the thought that Obama wins this election. If that occurrs I will be one of the small little people, screeming th loudest to remove him from office. Obama is dirty, corrupt on so many issues. Fast & Furious is a scandal that I will not let go away; it is bigger and bloodier than Watergate and I will fight to have disclosure. Benghazi, is a treasnous offense by a sitting president, I feel so outraged at the thought of 4 good Americans left to die by this “puke city” president I want to screem. This has been noted by Obamaites on the Yahoo Topic board with, notation of Lynn is back on the subject of Benghazi again. When the paid Yahoo people see my name pop up they automaticly start “thumb downing” – I don’t even think they read the posts.

But enought on that, I will be at the forefront to have this president charged and convicted (jailed too), him and all his accomplices, as far as I’m concerned Obama is “toast”; as far as I’m concerned I hope he likes “orange”.
