Singer Katy Perry Wears a Dress With Obama’s ‘Forward’ Slogan at Political Rally

MILWAUKEE (TheBlaze/AP) — Pop star Katy Perry isn’t holding back when it comes to her choice for president. The Christian-turned-secular singer sported a skin-tight minidress with President Barack Obama’s campaign slogan “Forward” emblazoned across it at a political rally in Milwaukee on Saturday.

Perry came on stage initially wearing a red, white and blue dress and holding a microphone shaped like the Statue of Liberty’s torch. This, of course, was only a temporary outfit, as the singer’s real pro-Obama political message was being worn beneath it.

After her first song, a cover of Al Green’s soul hit “Let’s Stay Together,” she tossed aside the dress to reveal the bright blue minidress. Obama’s slogan “Forward” is also Wisconsin’s state motto.

But politics wasn’t the only agenda the singer pushed during the concert. Perry paused midway through her set to make a pitch for donations to victims of Superstorm Sandy.

This isn’t the first time Perry has gone out and performed to help get Obama re-elected. USA Today has more about a concert she held in Las Vegas late last month (and another campaign event she helped with in Los Angeles):

Perry gave a free concert at a park in a historically minority neighborhood just northwest of downtown Las Vegas to screaming fans at about 9 p.m., the same time Air Force One landed at McCarran International Airport across town. [...]

Perry, who recently also played a free concert at an Obama event in Los Angeles, paused before the last song Wednesday to exhort people in the Las Vegas crowd to vote early.

What was the average age of attendance just curious. A new stat shows 18-19 year olds are the new conservatives due to economic downturns in their families, they see their older peers as the “entitlement group’. Ha ha ha.

The great thing about all of these Mainstream Entertainers is you handle them just like you handle the Mainstream Media – you turn them off. My wife and I turned Country when Pop Music and Rock Icons decided they wanted to support Obama. No more Bruce. No more Bonnie Raitt. No more James Taylor. If you’ve watched Country Music for 10+ years, you’ve seen how the Los Angeles record machine has infiltrated Nashville because that’s where the growth was.

So with that, you get the ACMs or the CMAs that feature all of these cross-over stars trying their hand at Country to keep fading careers alive or they starred in Country-themed movies. With the influx of Hollywood, Country starts had to do their stints on E!, Entertainment Tonight and the late shows. The lines became blurred and now you have Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson on the left. That’s why you have the entire State of Tennessee voting Red with a blue dot in Nashville and Brentwood and Franklin.

So guess what? We don’t listen or download any of Tim & Faith’s crap. We stopped downloading Carrie’s stuff after her recent abortion and gay marriage comments and Kelly Clarkson was never in my iTunes account.

I was Country when Country wasn’t cool and now that Country’s cool, I’m out. Trace Adkins and Bocephus are about all you got left.

Well, here’s another entertainer I’ve lost every bit of respect for. It was bad enough when she married Mr. Loony Tunes (Russell Brandt), but now she’s really lost her mind. Do liberals think we respect their empty heads, while exploiting their sexuality? My dad once said….”Men respect you more when they see less.” Obviously, Kate hasn’t had a good family upbringing. Regardless of her age, I’m sure her parents can’t be proud of here lack of intelligence. I found it truly disgraceful, but then Obama is truly disgraceful, liar, and cheat, so they belong together.

Hey Katy Perry, put those “Fireworks” and tight revealing ouifits…where the sun doesn’t shine! (I’d like to say more)
