‘When Are We Gonna Get Some F**king Help?’: Furious Residents Confront Bloomberg

Furious New York City residents confronted Mayor Michael Bloomberg during an unannounced trip to the Rockaways on Sunday, demanding more aid for their storm-ravaged neighborhood after Hurricane Sandy.
“When are we going to get some help out here, seriously, when are we gonna get some help?” one woman screamed at the mayor in a confrontation caught on camera. “We’ve been out here f–king seven days! Seven f–king days…when are we gonna get some f–king help?”
“There’s old ladies in my building that got nothing. Nothing,” one man exploded.
Content warning — strong language
The New York Post reported Bloomberg’s security team held the residents back. The mayor spoke to cameras afterward and said “everybody’s working as hard as they can” after the storm.
“They’ve done a masterful job, there’s an enormous amount still to be done and they’re going to keep working,” Bloomberg said. “People are always not gonna get as much things as they want as fast as they want, this was a tremendous storm and they’re going to keep working on it.”
According to the Post, more than 25,000 customers in the Rockaways were still without power Saturday, and full restoration could take two weeks.
“I spoke to many people who were worried, frustrated and cold,” Bloomberg said back at city hall. “There’s no power there and temperatures are dropping. Even those who have generators are having a hard time getting fuel.”
He called the falling temperatures “dangerous” and said the city was providing 25,000 blankets to the neighborhood.
“You’ve got to understand people’s frustration,” Bloomberg said. “They’re cold, they’re tired, they lost a lot. Sometimes we all get a little bit overanxious, if you will.”

When you stop and think about those that came before us and left us a country filled with promise and all we had to do was apply ourselves.
And yet, there are those that won’t even attempt to create a better future for themselves. They would rather wait hand and foot on the government.
When I lived in, what used to be known as West Germany, every so often, they had speakers come in and share their experiences with us, how life was during WWII, and how their families were separated by the occupation. Those that managed to escape from the Eastern Bloc were blessed, thousands died in their attempt. But the one thing that kept coming up was how the government controlled everything in their life.
You take a moment and think about how our lives are on the verge of being like that of and old Eastern Bloc country, where food was was practically rationed out at a high price. Where everyone was practically forced to drive a little car, despite the size of their family, and health care….you’re lucky if you never gotten a scratch from a rusty nail for need of a tetanus shot. Otherwise, watch as your life or a love one’s deteriorated. And yet, we see very similar things happening now in America. This is not the time to allow race baiting and the like to take hold of this country. The time is NOW to take back this country sevenfold.

But a hurricane hits the welfare dependent Louisanna, or the Liberal stronghold of New York, and they scream for big government daddy to come help? When I was a child, I yelled for daddy to come kill the spiders. now that I’m an adult, I’m the one killing the spiders.

Until America understands and embraces Austrian Economics , instead of Keynesian Economics, this vicious cycle will continue.
I think they want it to continue so it will collapse, so the people will cry out for “a solution”….so ‘they’ can step onto the world stage and offer the solution ‘they’ wanted to implement all along. The New World Order. The Hegelian Dialectic is alive and well in this world system.
The only chance for America is for americans to understand that they have two choices. Life or death. Choose Life. Choose Liberty. Choose the One who first chose you…that would be our Father in heaven.
Where the Spirit of God is, there is true Liberty.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 1:34pmUnfortunately, flood damage is not coverable under homeowners or business policies. Even if you purchase private insurance company administered flood policies (WYO), they are still technically under FEMA and are part of the flood PROGRAM and not really an insurance policy at all. All of the power and leverage rests with the feds and their rules apply with no leeway unless they give it to you. Many people do not carry flood coverage unless it is mandatory for their area.
That being said, most of us in Florida know to keep a good supply of emergency food and enough water for several days at least available and to stock up on fuel if a hurricane is approaching. Oh well, experience is the most impactful teacher but also the most expensive.

Posted on November 4, 2012 at 9:29pmI can’t relate to people like this. Our electricity and water would be out during the winter for at least 6 weeks. We were able to survive without defecating on our property. We brought water from the swimming pool to flush the toilets. Drove to town and showered. Went to school. Kerosene lamps at night. Board games at the kitchen table for entertainment. We had a fireplace. Brought out the ice chest and put the milk there. Ate peanut butter and jam sandwiches. This was with 5 children in the house. My parents still went to work. All the neighbors survived, too. I can’t understand this helpless mentality the liberals have created. .

Posted on November 4, 2012 at 11:35pmOh, me too. What the heck happened to people. I will be 43 this December and I remember as a child a blizzard and record-breaking temperatures this one winter. It was our first winter in this house my parents had just purchased and it was once used as a home for nursing soldiers in the Civil War. Although the home had several fireplaces, none of them were operable and we relied solely on gas stoves for heat. But the house did not have insulation either and so even with the heaters the temperatures would get pretty cold. So cold in fact that my parents decided to blanket-off the entire house except for the main living room where we all stayed for several days. In other areas of the house it got so cold that there was frost on the paneling. And where we had left water to drip from a faucet was a long icicle. And somehow we survived without crying out to the gubment to come and save us.

If a Republican is president then he’s a heartless bastard who doesn’t care about the people. Of course, when Obama says he wants revenge and Valerie Jarrett says “the people who aren’t for us, are against us” and when Obie is reelected “we will make them pay”… that’s okay. I hope New Yorkers and people of New Jersey are taking notes.

Posted on November 4, 2012 at 9:12pmWhen you live down South, you learn to prepare for hurricanes by storing weeks of food and water and batteries for flash lights and radios. During Hurricane Isaac, we were offline for almost four days, and that was miraculously short. The average is 7-10 days, and it happens every couple of years.
Like Mr. Beck has been saying, you have to take responsibility for yourself and have extra for others.
