Evangelist Claims 1.6 Million Christians Will Write in ‘Jesus Christ’ for President on Tuesday
Internet evangelist Bill Keller is on a mission to convince Christians to reject both Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican contender Mitt Romney. Rather than selecting either of the main candidates, Keller is challenging believers to choose Jesus Christ for president — literally.
As of July 2012, he claimed to have already convinced nearly 200,000 Christians to write in the savior’s name, rather than select any of the men officially running for the presidency. Now, just four months later, Keller’s pool of supporters has increased monumentally to more than 1.6 million. While this may seem like a number that is too-good-to-be-true, the evangelist’s web site, LivePrayer.com, has wide reach with 2.4 million subscribers.

“It is time for Christians, true followers of Jesus Christ, to rise up and say NO to satan this November!,” reads Keller’s web site, which is setup to advertise the initiative. “If God allowed the upcoming election for president to be between President Obama and Mitt Romney, it would truly be satan flipping a two-headed coin with his head on both sides!”
Keller dislikes Obama, because he believes that the president is “a true enemy of God.” He claims that he has been “the most pro-death president in history” due to his abortion support and that he is “a staunch advocate of the radical homosexual agenda.” Additionally, he believes Obama has been “a great friend to the enemies of Israel.”

Screen shot from VotingForJesus.com (as of 12:00 a.m. on November 4, 2012)
As for Romney, Keller’s words aren’t much kinder; the faith leader dismisses the Republican’s Mormon faith as a “cult” and believes that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ “doctrine is 100% inconsistent with Biblical Christianity.”
Neither candidate, in Keller’s view, is worth electing, thus he has launched VotingForJesus.com, imploring his followers to choose the Christian savior instead. Aside from signing an online pledge, he is asking that those who commit write “in the name of Jesus for president this November.” He setup a form that those interested can fill out to receive further information.
Naturally, Keller’s views will be offensive to some. Regardless, his ability to convince more than 1.6 million people to sign his pledge is noteworthy. Whether they actually make good on their pledge and vote “Jesus” on Tuesday — well, that’s another story entirely.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 5:41amEvangelist, MY BUTT, this person, because he is surely not a man and truly not a Man Of God as he professes. He appears to be a “Cult Leader”, not a Christian. If there are 1.6 million people who are going to write in the name Jesus Christ, then this country has fallen so far into the ditch, we will never recover.
I am a Christian, but to write in the name of “Jesus Christ” for President, how stupid would I be. Jesus Christ did not create this mess we are in, so to try and pull him in as a partner on the crime, is insanity. It’s time for Christians to “man-up” and stop sticking their heads in the sand, like they have been doing for the last 50+ years, sitting by and watching God be removed from every aspect of our society and refusing to do anything about it except whining and praying. Speak up for God’s sake, don’t throw him into the lion’s den by forcing him to do everything, because you are too unChristian to do anything to help yourself.

On one hand, they claim the Bible is complete, perfect, and sufficient, but then they create overreaching arguments, incomprehensible creeds, non-biblical terminology, and doctrinal revisionisms to help explain what the Bible was trying to say, and suggest that the only valid way to understand the Bible is the same way they interpret it. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, I believe the Bible is scripture and I love its teachings as received and understood under the influence of the Holy Ghost; but I can’t swallow the gross extrapolations and Biblical revisionism of traditional Christianity – i.e., I do not accept traditional Christianity’s translation and interpretation of those Holy verses. I study the scriptures through a proper hermanutic and in proper context through Hebraic studies of which I know mormons do not study in like manner.
As a mormon you call Jesus Christ a spirit brother to Lucifer and teach polytheism.
The bible teaches that Jesus Christ is ‘THE’ God come in flesh as in the EVERLASTING Father and creator of everything and is not spirit brother to Lucifer
The bible clearly teaches MONOTHEISM Isaiah 44:6, 45:5 and in many more verses
What the cult of mormonism does is practice Eisegesis and NOT exegesis

Who lives closer to biblical values, and who don’t? Who will be a friend to Israel, and who won’t? These questions are not hard to answer and the choice is clear. As far as Mormonism is concerned, I haven’t heard Romney declare that he was going to proselytize this nation to his religion. The bible tells us we can tell a tree by its fruit. The fruit of the Spirit has been displayed in Romney. Get your foot off of this man’s neck and pray for him! God can surely give him the understanding that he needs. Posted on November 5, 2012 at 3:41pmHey, TheRapt – what did Christ mean when he commanded “Judge not, for with the same judgment with which ye judge, ye shall be judged”? Do you not realize that the very accusations and judgments that you so spitefully apply to Mormons may be turned around and applied to you personally in the judgment? Probably not – I suspect that you think that your vision is clear and mine is so muddled that you are doing me a favor by condemning me to hell. I fear that too may be one of those judgments that will haunt you if you don’t let go of it. I really do hope that your faith is sufficient to cling to Christ when the truth is manifest with clarity; but I worry for you because of your hateful language and quickness to condemn. According to my reading of the Bible only those filled with the pure love of Christ will be able to sustain their faith when the light comes on. Satan is the great accuser, who loves the law and demands justice without mercy. In fact, the term Satan derives from the Hebrew root that means accuser. By their fruits you shall know them. Are you an accuser or a strengthener, are you a critic or an advocate of your fellowman, do you do the works of Satan, or those of Christ? Do you lift others or put them under your feet. Your spiteful mischaracterizations of LDS doctrine are dishonest and untrue, though you remain convinced they are accurate. When the light comes on, and your constructs disappear, I sincerely hope your faith won’t fail you.

That is one of the most misquoted verses in Scriptures. The point being taught is that to judge without have believed upon Christ is hypocritical
By me believing upon Christ, the REAL Christ in Romans 10:9-10 I have removed the wood from my eye and can now point out the wood in others eyes
That is the whole point of the gospel Romans 10:9-10 and the whole point in the spreading of that same gospel.
You have to point out the sin to the sinner in order for them to realize that Christ is the cure/covering for that same sin.
A Christian will mark out and expose the wolf in sheep’s clothing because to remain silent is DISASTROUS.
The fact you would even bring this up is very telling about you and your studies of Scriptures

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 5:59pm@TheRapt–“If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10) According to my bible that is all that is required for salvation. Does Romney believe this? Yes. Jesus and the Apostles commanded us to Love one another and actually put our faith into actions by good works. Faith without works is dead. Does Romney do this? Yes. Is Romney running to be my preacher? No. Is Mormonism off track? Yes. But, there are others also. Case in point….the Jesus Only bunch. How will you convince them they are wrong? You can’t. Only God can give the revelation that is needed. Hence, my call for prayer for the man in my earlier post. I wont choose Romney to be my preacher or teacher of the bible, but he can surely be a good President. You still don’t answer the question…..Would you rather that devil Obama remain in that seat attacking the churches, killing babies at will, embracing the homosexual movement……etc? Here’s the deal……I’m not going to beat up Romney no more than the Jesus Only’s. Both are in error, but until another Apostle shows up in the power of God to set the record straight I will just pray for them and keep my foot off their neck. Wisdom and discernment has taught me that I am just a man, only God has the power to set things right again.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 6:12pm@TheRapt, I bear solemn witness that I know by revelation from the Holy Ghost that Christ has initiated His latter-day work and that He stands at the head of the LDS church. I know that God speaks, not just ‘Spake’, and that divine revelation is more essential today that it has ever been. You need not rely on the flawed faculties, understanding, exegesis, or hermanutic (sic) interpretations, or traditions of man to model the truth – all you have to do is believe, and ask sincere. I witness that God lives and has power to do all things, including making us joint heirs with Christ to inherit all that the Father has and is; and that through the Atonement, God WILL grant all that any individual chooses to believe and desire. Because of the Atonement, our individual destiny is only limited by what we choose. So, believe all things, hope all things. Accept all that God offers, none of it, or just the leftover morsels that fell from the table of prior dispensations. Your choice of what you believe will define your destiny, but all of your ranting, railing and gnashing of teeth has no power to stop the power of God, through the atonement from granting to others that which you adamantly refuse to consider, let alone desire or accept. We are children of God, with divine potential, here to choose our own (not others’) individual eternal reality by what we will to believe & desire. Foolish it is to declare, “All that there is, I see.” Be wise. Be Believing. Be Christlike.

(2) Does mormonism contradict the Bible? The same bible that I can trace by the writings of the Prophets, Apostles, Apostolic Fathers, Early Church Fathers?
(3) Do you deny the Trinity and teach Polytheism?
If you answer YES to any of these questions then you are not Christian and are already condemned by Gal 1:8-9
You teach a false Christ and contradict the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. All cults have extra biblical writings that they consider equal to or greater than Holy Scriptures (Bible). In your cult is is a whole long line of false prophets and their writings aka BOM (book of mormon) Pearl of great price, D&C
All contradict the bible that I can trace all the way back to the very crucifixion of Christ. If you teach anything else than the Real Jesus Christ of the Scriptures then you stand condemned and is the whole point of John chapter three and clearly stated in John 3:18
The resurrection/rapture will be your teacher and it is my prayer that on that day you will have your eyes opened to the TRUTH. I pray you realize you have been lied to and will believe upon the REAL Christ at that time.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 6:51pm@TheRapt: “Mormons teach polytheism” No. We only worship one God – who is the embodiment of all truth and Who has all power. But we do not arrogantly tell Him who is the greatest of all that he cannot bring other souls to see as He sees, understand as He understands, and live as He lives.
“The bible teaches Monotheism”, it is emphatic that we are only to worship God our Eternal Father. Yet it also teaches that the object of our worship is come to a full comprehension of God, which can only be done as we become like Him. Christ clearly taught the Eternal Life is only to be had by really comprehending God and Jesus Christ. Christ’s injunction to follow Him was an invitation to become perfected and one with God just as he is. Have you really studied the Bible?
“The bible can be verified through actual real history.
The BOM cannot.” The truths in the Bible can only be understand by the Spirit, not by historical context. Likewise the BOM. By the power of the Spirit, you may know the truth of all things – there is no other way.
“If a person actually honestly studies they can easily see that Mormonism is nothing like the Christianity of the bible”. I agree that Mormonism is nothing like the Christianity you imagine you see in the Bible.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 7:26pm@TheRapt, “Do you believe that Jesus is spirit brother to Lucifer? ”
See Isaiah 14 and Revelations 12. Lucifer was an honorable name meaning Light Bearer until he sought to destroy God’s plan to allow each of His children the liberty to choose their own destiny. Lucifer argued that liberty should be abolished and that all souls should be safely guided through mortality so that they would not have opportunity to sin. All could then justly return to God’s side and enjoy the blessings of exaltation: safe and secure, but without agency or liberty. Lucifer said he would save ALL of God’s children and demanded God empower him to do so. Christ, the author of Liberty, and God in His own right, offered to live a perfect life and pay the eternal demands of justice to allow us to choose all we would be willing to accept. The elite self-righteous Lucifer – regulating our lives- with a false promise of safety in exchange for his power and our stagnation vs Christ, selflessly offering Himself out of love to secure our liberty and personal growth. God accepted Christ’s offer and Lucifer was enraged and there was war in heaven ending as Lucifer was cast out to the earth. That ancient war didn’t end, only the battleground changed. The war is stille between liberty and faith in Christ and the stagnation coming with enslavement to serve elitist moral imperatives. Yes, Lucifer was a spirit brother of Jesus Christ in heaven, but he chose badly, became Satan, an enemy to God.

This not an election for a messiah, unless you are working for Obama….that;s what HE thinks he is.
For the rest of us it is an election for president of the united states, and, God willing, a chance to have our families and homesteads for a while longer.
All idols and false beliefs will be stripped. If you fall and no-one helps you up….Get up anyway.

uuummm………My bible says that Lucifer was “created,” and that Jesus actually created “all” things.
How can they be brothers or equal in any way? Where on earth did you get that previous story? The devil has never been equal to the Lord at any time. To put him in that category is to give him praise just the same as you would God.

Do a Google on the first fruits wave offering according to Hebraic customs
The bible labels Christ this for a reason. There are three distinct phases to a harvest cycle. Once you learn these IDIOM and PHRASEOLOGY you will know whom goes when in the resurrection/rapture

There are no mean people in heaven. There are no accusers, no unkind or uncharitable people in heaven.
That’s the litmus test. We will be judged by our works. If anyone is found to have refused fellowship and with held love from any of God’s children, then that person will be cast out at the judgement. No matter what they claim to believe.

You refer to the Bema seat judgment the is for BELIEVERS alone in 1 Cor 3:12-15 & 2 Cor 5:10. This judgement is for rewards for our works and has nothing to do with salvation. It is after the resurrection/rapture.
You also speak of the sheep and goat judgement Matt 25:31-46 and this judgment is after the 7 year tribulation and is where Christ judges those people that survived the tribulation and how they treated the HEBREWS

Now why on earth would the bible warn of these things if they were not real?

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 3:25am100% inconsistent? The Mormon’s teach charity and morality – that kills that claim immediately. This evangelist, if he really believes in his faith, should know that we have been given a choice, we are at this point for a reason, it is up to us to decide what to do. God always is with us, and he will always give us our chance. Voting for neither is not going to help. There is no middle ground, there is no neutrality. We have a man who will destroy the country, and one who won’t. Voting for neither candidate will not solve anything. Evil doesn’t require you to do anything, God does. By doing no good by voting for neither, you surely aren’t on the side of good. It would be a statement for sure; but it will not help. A personal favorite statement on the matter of neutrality of mine is “apathy is death”. I know that by writing in Jesus they wish to be on his side, but I call it neutrality because God gave us “dominion over the earth”, and it is up to us to do the best we can. We can pray for his guidance and his aid, and we can do the best we can, but ultimately God put our fates in our own hands. I can say most certainly, that Obama is not the best we can do. Right now, Romney is the best we can do. With work, someday we could hopefully have another president as good as George Washington; but for now, I’d be more than happy to settle for Romney.

We are also “the woman” in Rev 12 that every religion thinks is their church or as the Catholics believe Mary and Israel themselves. I just happen to be the “manchild” spoken of and I am the Brother of the Jesus in John, the Only True Son of God in the gospels; in which “God” Himself was that flesh. The Jesuses (2 different) were false christs that came after; although man put John last of the four gospels, it should have been first, then Luke, Matthew and Mark last. Mark tells of an ordinary man that comes and is bap;tized and Lucifer’s Holy Ghost enters him..the same Lucifer’s Holy Ghost that raped the other two virgins.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 3:34amAgreed. I pray when each of these individuals goes into the voting booth then listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This idea is not of Yah. Yahshua said that we were to occupy till he returned. We are not supposed to do meaningless, symbolic gestures that just advance the kingdom of darkness. We have a clear choice; light and dark. I have no doubt that if Obama is re-elected there won’t be anything left of this country in 4 years. This individual knows Obama is a true enemy of God and that is true, Romney’s positions on life and the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman are in line with biblical truths.
The Word says “And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.” Luke 9v49-50
We have the best chance maybe the last chance to bring America back from the brink of a disaster she will never recover from. Yah choses who he choses to use. I will pray His Will is done and vote for Romney as his values are the values of the bible and Yah can correct the errors in doctrine.
This is to important to squander

This is more “voter duplicity” and more lies. One “votes for JESUS” minute by minute by decisions we make and actions we take. It is easy to write someone else’s name on a piece of paper. It is much more difficult to turn one’s life, heart and soul, over to that JESUS for safekeeping and sound guidance for life both here and forever.
PRAY ON, AMERICA. MAY GOD FORGIVE US, RESTORE US AND BLESS US ONE MORE TIME.
IN JESUS’ PRECIOUS NAME we do pray and we do vote! (But not the way this nutjob “evangelist” is encouraging… pretty obvious whose team he is on).

Can’t separate out MR’s Mormonism from his leadership. His followers won’t be consolidated in any one geographic area so shouldn’t be any kind of problem in diluting the vote. I do love seeing him blasted for being non-Christian and a BO man. Unfortunately, he will probably only see it as persecution for righteousness sake. Many false teachers and preachers of man’s traditions….lots of confusion. For years, as I witnessed church after church, and denominations, fall to expedience and political correctness, I heard nothing about the differences, now, that’s all we have. But ALL of that is prophesied, and I have been expecting it.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) Let no man deceive you by any means: for , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
This means that the filthy remain filthy, and the holy stay holy and we will all be recognized, as we are. Even Satan. Only then will come the second resurrection.
