The Most Devastating Anti-Obama Election Video of 2012? You Decide

U.S. President Barack Obama (Credit: Getty Images)
A scathing video review of President Barack Obama’s first term is sweeping the internet less than two days before the most important presidential election in a generation. The video, titled “Conservatism Is Calling,” outlines Obama’s broken promise to bring “hope and change” to Washington D.C.
Hollywood director Chris Corrado told TheBlaze in an email that he is the creator of the video.
The video, which currently has more than 500,000 views on YouTube, also highlights a number of Obama’s empty pledges he made on the campaign trail in 2008. Obama can be seen promising to “fundamentally transform the United States of America,” pledging to cut the federal deficit in half, fix the economy and reign in unemployment in his first term. While he did make good on his promise to “transform” the nation, it wasn’t in the way that many had hoped.
He called the Bush administration “unpatriotic” for running up massive annual deficits. However, as the YouTube video points out, Obama’s deficit at $1.3 trillion in 2012 alone was more than four years under former President George W. Bush combined. The video also indicates that Obama missed his pledge to cut the deficit in half by 500 percent.
“$500 billion per year, irresponsible, unpatriotic,” the video proclaims, referring to the Bush administration. “$1.25T per year — unacceptable.”
“This must stop,” the video states. “The money will run out. Like it has in Italy. Like it has in Greece. Like it has in Spain. Like it has in France.”
The video blasts Obama for playing more than 100 rounds of golf, which at four hours per round, equals roughly 10 work weeks — “Just for golf.” Meanwhile, the American people continue to struggle in the “worst economy since the Great Depression.”
“Obama is a problem. But he is not the problem,” the video states. “The problem is Statism, which seeks to cure society’s ills by taking money from the private sector and giving it an inefficient government that never stops spending.”
For Americans who think that government doesn’t spend, regulate, tax or take enough, the video encourages them to move the country “forward” with Obama, because that’s what another Obama administration would mean.
For everyone else, “conservatism is calling.”
“Join us,” the videos proclaims. “We have the winning argument.”
Corrado, who posted the video under the YouTube username TheVisualEdge, says in the video description that he was not paid by anyone to make the video, he just wanted to get people excited to vote on Election Day.
Did it work?

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 5:51amA great and moving video. As I watch this video I can’t help but think and put in perspective how much Romney reminds me of that Great President Reagan. I truly feel that he can and will help change the course in which we are on. As someone said there is going to be a whole lot of work but we can do it. We have done it before and I am ready to do it again.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 6:09amI have ZERO doubt that Mitt will slow down the speed of our destruction but I do not believe he CAN stop it. Obama has ensured our dollar will crash. I don’t see what Mitt can do to stop it and the left in 4 years will blame him for it. He will get my vote and my prayers on the chance that we still have hope as a nation.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 6:35amThe election of Mitt Romney to POTUS tomorrow will be like flipping on the switch of the economy. November 2nd 2008 was like turning off the ignition and throwing the keys out the window. They are two totally different ideologies. Romney will help to bring life back to this country and make us the most powerful nation in the world again instead of the floor mat to the UN.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 7:28amThis is it folks, the day of reckoning is upon us. I am pumped and ready send Obama to his new home in Hawaii. Let him write his Marxist books and feed them to the progressives. Our new Independence Day starts tomorrow! God bless America, and God bless the great people in this country who appreciate freedom and liberty and won’t sell their souls for a government handout. Be true to us President Romney, and we will support you during your eight years in office.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 8:02amI hope everyone understands that we not only need to NOT spend more than we TAX ourselves but that we SPEND less and pay off the DEBT only (17 Trillion)… This is going to be brutal and not pain free… The question is are we going to be able to count on all AMERICANS to pitch in and help… Or will those accustomed to sitting on the couch, eating chips, watching reality shows, and using their EBT card, stay and expect more of the same… Oh how about the Obamaphone recipients???

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 8:49amWith respect to those who would consider it a compromise, in order to reach out to those who have not embraced conservatism I would not have used the images/names of Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. While these people do express conservatism, they are also lightning-rods in the political realm. I would have used only historic conservative figures like Reagan, Thatcher, etc. Other than that it’s a very good video.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 9:36amIn our town here in S. Oklahoma while hitting garage sales we saw 3 homes in a town of 15,000 with Obama signs in their yards. My whole family including my 3 daughter in-laws are all registered Democrats and fell for Hope & Change. I consider us all smart Democrats and we learned our lesns and will vote for a correction of our mistakes.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 2:44pmFantastic short. And yes, electing Mitt is only the first step in our journey of a thousand miles. We are faced with massive problems, but I am totally convinced that working together, and aided by the Protection of Divine Providence, we can turn the country around so quickly, it will be clear to the world that it is, without doubt, a modern miracle.

Posted on November 6, 2012 at 12:20amI agree. Mitt can turn it around. Mitt is a fixer. My congressman sits on the House Ways and Means committee. He says our national debt now is proportionally like it was at the end of WWII, so it is not too late if we fix it now, but if we wait, it will be too late.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 5:18amI thought the same. Orrin Hatch referred to us a “radical libertarians” that aren’t conservatives, and that he would like to “punch in the mouth”. I’ve never voted Libertarian in my life. I’m a constitutional conservative, and I vote that way consistently. That’s why I can’t stomach more of Hatch. In this election, I (early) voted for the Constitution Party Senate candidate. I voted nearly straight ticket GOP for the rest of the ballot.

It will be important also for future replacements on the Supreme Court.

Posted on November 5, 2012 at 2:06amI just finished watching it again. I am in awe of Chris Corrado.
Chris, if you read this, I just want you to know that YOU DA MAN! This video is so concise and absolutely DAMNING of the current status quo, it makes me want to stand up and cheer.
The quote from Liberty & Tyranny in Levin’s own words, Reagan’s quotes in HIS own words, the graphics breaking down the out of control government – it’s all just so perfect. I am jealous of your talent for saying so much that MUST be said, in so few minutes.
In my opinion, Conservatives everywhere owe you a great debt of gratitude for speaking our minds so eloquently.
Thank you, Chris.
Yours Truly,
America

Only 2 possible reasons it didn’t.
(#1) The Republican elites are not conservatives also, or (#2) they are afraid to speak the truth of what they believe out of fear of their inability to articulate and defend it to independents. I tend to believe #1 carries more weight. Just look at how they oppose true tea party conservatives. They have some other agenda, and I’m not sure what it is, but I’ve read plenty of what it appears to be.
