Chris Matthews’ Bizarre ‘Same Sex’ Quip: Christie ‘Found Love Outside of Marriage’ With Obama

Much furor has surrounded New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s favorable comments about President Barack Obama in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Considering the Republican’s endorsement and support of Mitt Romney, these positive accolades so close to the election raised some eyebrows. Tonight, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews seized upon the scenario, issuing an odd same-sex marriage quip and delving into some bizarre analysis.

“We know the Republicans generally, according to their platform, don’t believe in same-sex marriage,” Matthews proclaimed, clearly attempting to setup a joke of sorts. “But I think the decision by Romney to leave Chris Christie at the altar was the most devastating decision they made.”

Matthews continued, highlighting his belief that Romney’s decision not to select Christie as his vice-presidential nominee has led to estrangement between the two parties.

“The fact that he thought he was going to be running mate and at the last minute that he wasn’t — maybe didn’t find out the right way — maybe he was left at the altar…and he found love outside of marriage with the president,” he continued. ”If he was really married to Mitt Romney, we wouldn’t have seen that dance of death last week that really may have put this election back on track for Obama…”

After the storm hit (maybe just before), Christie saw it as his one opportunity for disguised self promotion, to bring Romney down, and hide his ulterior motive in his “Governor Duties” with extreme public praise after praise of Obama and in the process maybe have a chance at President in 4 years. This is the most selfish thing he could have done to his state and to the country.

Wierdo. I’m keeping the television off, for I don’t know how long. I haven’t had cable for years and only get 2 stations. Maine just passed gay marriage and I don’t want my kids to see them sucking face all over the news. I don’t flaunt my heterosexuality in peoples faces with bumper stickers and tee shirts. If I did I suppose I would be called hateful. Even if you don’t believe in God, it is against the laws of nature.

Before Hurricane Sandy Romney was looking good with a 6 point lead according to Rasmussen, who was the most accurate pollster in the 2008 election.

Then when the hurricane hit, Romney and the election, and Libya were wiped off the news and all we saw was the devastation and Obama showing up with great concern looking presidential and the fawning media highlighting him at every opportunity while ignoring Romney. Within three days Romney lost 5-6 points, which amounted to losing the election.

Of the six points lost Chris Christie probably cost Romney two of them. Obama called Bloomberg and Christie wanting to pay them both a visit, realizing the power of a photo op. He knew the damage to Bush when he just flew over New Orleans after Katrina. Bloomberg, who supported Obama, refused because the presidential entourage would just hinder the salvage work and this was why Bush didn’t take the photo op because his presence would have hindered rescue efforts.

Obama getting in the way did not bother Christie who welcomed him with open arms and provided Obama, not only with the needed photo op, but gave the false image of a president who was crossing party lines to work with the keynote speaker of the Republican convention. I think Christie will go down in infamy in the Republican party as one who changed history for the worse.

Rasmussen was not the most accurate pollster in 2008.

In 2008, Obama won by a 7.2 margin, 52.9 to 45.7 percent. (FEC verified)
Rasmussen underestimated Obama with a 6-point margin, 52/46.
CNN & Ipsos were more accurate with a 7-point margin, 53/46.

Chris Mathews shows all that is wrong with the political system in this Country and how the mainstream media controls what is shown and said on the airwaves and what is kept silent. (See CBS interview about Benghazi the day after it happened) CBS kept this quiet until it was too late to bring it to the voters attention. Typical Democrat strategy.

This MSNBC Crazy-in-Chief just promised that if the obama (abbrev.: Organized Bаstаrd(s) And Marxist Agitator(s) ) loses, he will cut his own legs.
I and my daughter, who is PA in surgical orthopedy, are willing to assist Chris (just to make sure he doesn’t cheat and cuts both legs)

Mr. Matthews is odd. Mr. Christie has made it abundantly clear that he was not seeking any “higher” office, and I at least believe this was genuine on his part. Mr. Christie seems to love his role as Governor of New Jersey—that we love him for that and would enjoy a POTUS, or V-POTUS that felt as passionately about the whole of the US is ultimately about us, not him. That his boundaries are so clear about this, while disappointing to us is again our problem not his. Mr. Matthews weird insistence that Mr. Christie felt somehow “rejected” by not being tapped for VP candidate (which is questionable from the get-go), and further Mr. Matthews placement of this presumed passing over in the context of a romantic rejection is downright strange. We know however from past comments that Mr. Matthews has distinct difficulty separating both truth from fantasy, and the political from the romantic—he is after all “Mr. Thrill-Up-My-Leg”. There is something seriously wrong with Mr. Matthews and there are many of the greatest psychiatrists in the world in his neighborhood. If he is in treatment he needs to be referred on to someone more experienced, if he isn’t in treatment, well then he needs to be.

    .
Mitt Romney was smart enough to see through Chris Christie’s act.
In my opinion, Christie is a Demoncrat at heart.

I think Chris Matthews is a bit jealous of Christie, for getting too snuggly with his man Obama.
I would pay big bucks to see a cat fight between Matthews and Christie.
