Like many conservatives across the country, actress Stacey Dash was extremely hopeful that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney would win the 2012 election. When he didn’t, losing to Obama in a landslide, she was understandably disappointed — and she made that abundantly clear in a 1,344 word essay acquired by TMZ.
In the lengthy essay, Dash explains why she chose to support Romney without bashing Obama at all. In fact, the actress had more than a few good things to say about the president, praising him for killing “coward” Osama bin Laden and repairing the country’s infrastructure. She even went as far as to say Obama would be remembered as “one of the greatest leaders this United States of America has ever known.”
Yes, she also voted for Obama in 2008. All that being said, Dash explained that she supported Romney based on his bipartisan record her belief that he was the right man to fix the economy.
“I voted for the Romney ticket because I was inspired by their promises of working tirelessly to create a strong economy as their first objective. I have other issues that are close to my heart like equality, and women’s rights, and the benefits of strong public schools. I realize on these issues I’m entirely progressive,” she wrote.
“There are plenty of moderate Republicans who feel exactly the way I do on these issues. I don’t think we have to trade one for the other. The main objective of our nation must be repairing the economy. All our social concerns must come after this. Without a stable economy our great nation falls.”
As TheBlaze previously reported, Dash was viciously berated by the Left following her endorsement of the Romney/Ryan ticket. Her critics blasted her for having the audacity to support Republicans, citing the fact that she is both black and in Hollywood. Apparently, that means you can’t think for yourself.
Following the election, the actress was disappointed but showed resolve.
“President Obama has been re -elected. I congratulate him. No he was not my choice, but he was the choice of the majority of our country. I do respect and appreciate that the country came together to make a choice. So for that I applaud Americans,” Dash wrote.
“Although I am disappointed that Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan did not win. I am hopeful that President Obama will lead us to becoming the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that thrives.”

Nov. 8, 2012 at 11:04amPretty good piece, except she’s wrong on the part where she says Obama will be remembered for being one of the great leaders of the USA. He will undoubtedly be at the bottom of the great leader list with Jimmy Carter, and will be remembered as being one of THEE WORST leaders we’ve ever had.

Nov. 8, 2012 at 8:23amGod bless you Stacey for being so brave your children are exremely lucky to have you. You spoke of race and Obama being elected. Unfortunately the sad truth is he did win because of his skin color which is absolutely ludicrous but true.
I know a dozen people that voted for him for that very reason they told me directly that is why they were voting for him. If Obama were a skinny white guy with dumbo ears and no record of accomplishment or qualifications to lead he would be… Dennis Kucinich… and we all know how well he has done running for president.
And the fact he won a second term with one of the worst records, unemployment, economic, energy (gas prices doubled) and a horrendous foreign relations record that includes an Islamic caliphate on the rise… Muslim Brotherhood running Egypt since his Cairo speech fomenting a revolutiin there and Al Qaeda running Libya with our ambassador raped and murdered means I cant think if any other reason why he should have won.
Its been my lifes experience that liberals are the most close minded intolerant hateful people I have ever met… think you felt the hate when you dared step outside the group think. You should speak with Tammy Bruce the gay talk radio show host she knows the truth about the difference between liberals and conservatives and who is more respectful and understanding and who is not.
That being said I am fearful four more years of the same is not a good thing.

Nov. 8, 2012 at 12:38amThe truth is Obama didn’t win anything. Just like last time. He didn’t have a platform, therefore nothing to point to. It’s 230:1 in reality. 230 Representatives were appointed to represent THEIR CONSTITUENTS. Not Harry weeds, Pelosi’s, maxine waters, or any of the liberals. They have their job to do, and ours have their job to do. That’s how it works! Support your Congressmen, Senators that were elected in opposition to obama. THAT is what THEY ran on and THAT is what THEY are expected to do.
The only thing obama was really elected to is “de facto” leader of the progressive party. He doesn’t represent anyone else no matter who else voted for him. THAT’S how a a platform works. You must be able to point to it and make a credible claim. His is nefarious, invisible for the most part.
THAT is why he will resume his existence as a failed, flawed and divisive President. His doing, no one else is to blame. He will Pay the same piper he did last time around. It’s sad, but that’s what he did to himself. He will point everywhere else though… America is not going to support him in the numbers he conned out of the,

Majority? MAJORITY? Let’s start by me saying this, I am not an American, I am not from your country, I had no horse in the race if you will, but the numbers do not agree with you. Let’s look at voter turn out.
With the Obama victory, there’s been a lot of talk of ‘majority’ or ‘half’ and stuff like that. The numbers, simply do not agree. So the U.S.A has population of roughly 314 million. removing the approx 80mill that are under voting age, leaves us with. 234 million. According to the popular vote, the turn out was about 118 million. That leaves us with 116 million Americans that did not vote. So your majority? That was about 1/4th of the voting population. 1/4th, is not a majority, irregardless of how you slice it.
It’s true, the numbers show an Obama victory, but they also show a crushing sense of despair if that many people didn’t show up. So before you go pat your friends on the back and give each other high fives, you should stop and wonder why there were so few people bothering to vote. Take time to reach out and give them reason to vote in 2016. Make 2016 the year that hope is rekindled. THEN you can claim a majority. THEN you can claim victory.
Until then my friends in the USA, don’t let the victory go to your head.

Nov. 8, 2012 at 7:54amYou can go on and on about numbers Rijjka. What counts is those who voted. Votebushin12 is abolutely right and his view will predominate indefinitely. Nov. 8, 2012 at 11:41amUnfortunately, bushin is correct, but not for the reason he thinks. The new majority voted for Obama. The new majority is a group of children, of takers. 51% of this nation are takers. The voters had two choices in this election: One choice said “You can be successful, but it takes hard work. You have to show up, work hard, persevere, make sacrifices, be dedicated, and you can get there. You’ll be as successful as you work to be.” The other choice said “That’s not fair, you don’t have to work to be successful, that successful guy got there because of you, he didn’t build that. I’ll take his success and give it to you. I’ll give you free stuff.” The second guy won.
Like Rush said, in a nation of children, it is impossible to beat Santa Claus in an election.

Don’t post sarcastic retorts in which YOU’RE too lazy to use proper English. What exactly is a “to lazy to read?” Or did you mean “too lazy to read?” You could have at least gotten that part right but I still have to ask what is a “too lazy to read?” Ohhhhhh! You meant to say “YOU’RE too lazy to read,” right? Now it all makes sense!
You give a great deal to a misuse of two words although the context of retort wasn’t lost. Your response proves it to not be lost.
You have bought into your falseness of having higher intelligence due to your elitist attitude and beliefs.
I will give a great deal of time to your own misuse of words and the definition.
Retort. respond sharply: to say something sharp, angry, witty, or insulting in quick response to something somebody else has said .
Unless you hear voices nothing is said in this forum.
Sarcastic. mocking: characterized by words that mean the opposite of what they seem to say and are intended to mock or deride .
Nothing in the response was sarcastic, unless in your deep delusions of the voices you hear provided a mocking opposite response.
The better response would have been, One needs not respond if one is prejudiced to read the statement by Ms. Dash. You are a lazy bigoted small minded a**clown filled with hate.
In closing Kadster1. You are a pile of fecal waste elitist minded Marxist, thus giving your response a collective Ohhhhhh it all mak

I must take issue with her suggestion that people like myself are racially divisive or ignorant for suggesting that people support Obama simply because he is black. I knew someone personally who willing admitted in 2008 that he was voting for Obama simply because he was black after having expressed support for McCain and Giuliani in the primaries. Obama’s own inauguration pastor said that he doesn’t know “what kind of n***** wouldn’t vote with a black man running.” When Obama ran in 2008, blacks voted in record numbers and overwhelmingly for him. We’re called racists for opposing him. Excuse us for observing the obvious fact that race is clearly an issue with many of his supporters. How are we the ones being divisive?

Nov. 7, 2012 at 4:29pmMiss Dash has formulated a pretty good response except for a couple of glaring issues.
One being that she says bho will be “remembered as “one of the greatest leaders this United States of America has ever known.” That’s a whole truckload of horse hooey. bho will be remembered alright but it will be because he has been and will continue to be an unmitigated disaster to this previously great country of ours.
She also says “Bring me a leader from either party that can get this unstuck. Non-partisanship is what will get Americans back to work and the homeless back on their feet. Whoever is the next president must break gridlock and do the will of the people. Stop pandering to partisan politics while our great nation flounders.”
bho has no intention of bringing the country together or doing the things that will help us thrive. He is doing everything he can to drive this country into the ground, from moral issues, legislative issues to economic issues.
