Financial Experts Weigh in on Obama’s Re-Election: Higher Taxes, More Printing… ‘This Is Not Going to Be Good for the Country’

While many Americans are celebrating President Barack Obama’s victory over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, a few Wall Street analysts warn that now is the time to get serious about the economy.

Financial legend Jim Rogers, for example, said during an Election Day interview with CNBC that there is little reason to be euphoric over the outcome of the election.

“I’m seeing and listening to everybody talk about politics instead of what are we going to do and what’s going to happen to the country,” Rogers said, “I tell you, this is not going to be good for the country. It’s more of the same old stuff. More money printing, more high debt … if they raise taxes, which everybody seems to think they will, raising taxes has never been good for the economy.”

“We should be worried about 2013 and 2014,” he added. “I see a lot of happy people tonight. Call them up in 2013. Call them up in 2014.”

And on Wednesday morning, Pimco co-founder Bill Gross (“Mr. Bond”) also said that a second term for President Obama will naturally involve higher taxes.

“Obama ran on a higher-tax agenda,” Gross said during a “Squawk Box” interview.

“Marginal income taxes go from 35 to 40 (percent), capital gains from 15 to 20, dividends from 15 to who knows what … so they could go high, high and higher,” added, noting that the election gives the president a “a larger bargaining chip” to push Republicans into accepting higher tax rates.

Gross and Rogers are not alone in their belief that America’s economic future will involve tax increases.

“We believe taxes are going to go up,” said Ron Florance, managing director of investment strategy at Wells Fargo Private Bank.”If you can, pay taxes this year vs. next year. We are recommending doing that. Normally we encourage delaying taxes.”

Florance notes that the dividend tax isn’t the only thing that will see an increase.

“The estate tax environment is going to change dramatically,” he said. “You have six weeks to get this done. The estate taxes will not be this favorable for the rest of our natural lives. So for clients in that bracket, this is a pretty critical six weeks.”

Let us not forget that 50% (+1% cheating) voted for this. The other 49% (50% minus cheating) have to pay for it. We still have power individually and in the House of Representatives. There is still a potential impeachment investigation over Benghazi snafu. And the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution still stand enshrined in the foundation of this once great nation. We can revolt again if the Dems/Libs/Takers go too far. True freedom-loving Americans can stay armed and ready to move and gather in the center states to form a new country if necessary. 50% of true Americans, workers not takers, can do a lot. None of us can give up or throw in the towel – it is time to double-down and prepare. We’ll know in the first year’s spending. Watch for the signs and be prepared to do something. Civil War is the last resort – secession is a first, better alternative – if it comes to extremes. We’re not rolling over and letting Marxism take over. No way!

My only consolation is the fact that if you can’t win an election with this poor of an economy, than you really are more stupid than your opponent. Never once did I hear the Mitch even mention the grocery store, much less explain how money printing makes the poor poorer without really hurting the rich. All he could come up with was “love your country’ platitudes. All he had to do was keep pointing to the grocery store. He deserved to lose.

If WE are going to salvage this country (and it’s getting really close to salvage–might be there by the next Presidential election), maybe we need to expose the greed for what it is (assuming there are enough of us left that think greed is NOT a virtue), and get cracking on building up a Righty Media! Investor’s Business Daily is a truly GREAT newspaper! (Not trying to plug it, but just to point this out!) It might be a model for the reincarnation of a real media movement, back to investigational journalism, back to a forum, where well-thought out ideas have a place to be seen and heard! We’re going to need to buy-back or start from scratch some newspapers and reinvent the editorial desk! I don’t want to squash liberal ideas through takeover, but I want to level the playing field so that the conservative voice has a forum other than ‘affinity outlets’! We need to go after the general public, help them see the deceptions they accept as reality, and win their hearts and minds!!! All the pieces are there–EVERY conservative loss is a seed to be planted for this effort! Since Europeans are in love with their Obama I hope they really, really enjoy the suffering they will go through. I am sure the French will not be happy until they are again servants of the Germans, this situation may actually solved by Obama to the joy of both Germany and France. The USA may survive but Europe is already over run with Africans and Islam and so will not survive. I am sure they will still blame Bush to the last breath.

If I recall correctly, Romney already has a crappy record appointing federal judges and said he’d appoint justices like Roberts (obviously a progressive). Whether they come about their progressive views through Marxist ideology or religious altruism is irrelevant. Neither would be an originalist.

  The Federal Reserve peformed a very useful role of keeping the politics out of our money supply–for almost 100 years! Then, it became politicised! Imagine if Congress had its fingers in the pie for the last 100 years! Actually, what we have seen in the last 10+ years is just that, but Congress by Proxy! The Fed has outlived it’s usefulness! Dodd-Frank, the Mortgage Mess, the as-yet unexploded Student Loan Mess, have all involved reaching into the public larder to fund one liberal-progressive-socialist program after another! Imagine a country with 10 people and 100 ‘dollars’! Each person can use their money as a medium of exchange, to permit the ‘storage’ of labor, so that it can be ‘used’ at another time. Now imagine that the country grew to 15 people and the money grew to 150 ‘dollars’! No problem! But, imagine the money now grew to 600 ‘dollars’ without any corresponding growth in population or national ‘output’! Did anyone get ‘wealthier’? No, just INFLATION! My sister, a Wellesley graduate (like Hillary) actually ‘thinks’ we can spend our way out of debt’! Apparently, she thinks Macro-economics works to a different set of laws than Micro-economics! No amount of interaction can change her mind! She is ‘educated’! She has her Ph.D.! Uh-oh!

I don’t think they can breed it out or used “Brave New World” conditioning to make us Epsilons.

Taxing you 10th dollar different than your 1st dollar or 100th dollar or any other dollar that you earn is just criminal. Taxing a person more because they work more than 40 hours, work off shifts, work dangerous jobs or of have completed a difficult course of study & use that to the betterment of a persons customers/clients for which a person is compensated is criminal. But progressives & liberals advocate theft.

It has been pointed out that the progressives could follow their hearts’ lust & confiscate all private wealth & they could only run the government for a short time. To get so much wealth a second time they would have to break out whips. They prefer a velvet gloved dictatorships/oligarchy with themselves at top to an iron fist. It might be velvet gloved but it is still theft!

  Working to: “Reduce the deficit, redefine the tax code, illegal immigration, dependence on foreign oil.”
  Now, on those things he worked on the last four years. Deficit is bigger,Tax code is structured to penalize people who work at any job. immigration is now being rewarded on a faster track with photo ID and social security number. and finally about energy; We drill less, gasoline and diesel cost more, and all his money pumped into solar energy-The companies all went belly up and he lost more money than the interest losses against GM and chrysler.

When we stop exporting food, when we stop holding our enemies accountable, when we stop being the shelter currency, when we stop being the preferred investment, when we stop being the model of invention and reward (some or all of which may already have occurred), the World is in for a Rude Awakening! The power shuffle in the Muslim World may ultimately lead to a caliphate and, armed with nukes and a population hell-bent on suicide missions, THAT will be a more formidable opponent than The Soviet Union or China ever were! Rather than nuclear detente, we will suffer the death of 1,000 cuts, one man-nuke at a time! Talk about precision bombing–one nuke per man is the epitome of precision destruction! The World has changed, and we better adapt! I fear what Obama, the man who lit the World on fire, has in store for us, through his foolishness! Young conservatives are not Christians..In fact, we are against legislating Christianity..Because when you legislate Christianity you lose freedom..Young conservatives are serious about fiscal conservatism..When the record of the fiscal conservatives of the gop as a whole is nothing more than a shell game, spending on war instead of foodstamps, you are not for small government..Young conservatives recongnize the gop as the sham that it is..You must begin to cater to the non-Christian fiscal conservatives or you will conitnue to recieve only 35% of the youth vote.

  Hard to do when the youth support Obamacare since they get to stay on their parents’ insurance until age 26 and have somebody else pay for their birth control. They also support more entitlement programs. So they really aren’t fiscally conservative to begin with.
