Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney conceded the presidential race and congratulated President Barack Obama in a speech to supporters at his campaign headquarters in Boston shortly before 1 a.m. EST.
“I have just called President Obama to congratulate him on his victory,” Romney began.
“I ran for office because I am concerned for America … Like so many of you, Paul [Ryan] and I have left everything on the field,” he added.
Romney also asked his supporters to pray for President Obama as he leads the country for another four years.
“This is a time of great challenges for America, and I pray the president will be successful in guiding our nation,” the Republican said.
Added Romney, who lost his bid to unseat Obama: “I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the country in a different direction,” Romney said during his remarks, “but the nation chose another leader.”
The defeated GOP candidate challenged both Democrats and Republicans in Washington to “put people before the politics” and take the country in the right direction.
Addressing his wife, Romney said: “I also want to thank Ann, the love of my life. She would have been a wonderful first lady.”
Chants of “Mitt! Mitt! Mitt!” rose from the crowd as Republican Mitt Romney closed his concession speech. He kissed his wife, Ann, who joined him on stage in Boston, and gave running mate Paul Ryan a big hug.

Nov. 7, 2012 at 1:11amThis doesn’t get better. The demographics will never lead to a Republican POTUS ever again. The people have voted themselves into the coffers. There are more takers than providers. The education system has been taken over and produces sheep devoid of logic. The government picks winners and losers and prints money which steals from everyone. They control the media, the banking system, the education system, the healthcare system the energy production capacity, etc. There is no fixing this. The GOP just ensured that no Tea Party esque candidate will ever see the light of day with rule 12. The media will make sure the truth is masked and the education system will make sure people don’t ask questions and the police state will deal with those who do. We are Oceana.
It’s up to you now. Do you cover your choice to not resist by promoting the lie that the election matters? Or, do you accept reality and blaze a new path? Resist, secede, disobey? What will you do?

It’s not enough that SO MANY voted AGAINST Obama. It’s that WAY TOO MANY voted FOR Obama for America to be healthful and righteous. THAT is the challenge for America.

If Romney had won, the collapse would have been blamed on the Republicans and Conservatives. Now the responsibility will forever go down in history as belonging to the Liberal Progressives and the Democratic Party where it belongs; Democrats- the party which killed the country…
Now real, true Conservatives have a chance to sweep the field in four years after the economy has completely collapsed and those idiots who voted the Great Pretender in- TWICE have reaped their full reward. Now that the economy is pretty much guaranteed to collapse we will get our chance to sweep away one hundred years of Progressivism in just four more years. Helluva four years it’s gonna be though. Nuclear Iran, national and global financial collapse, probably WWIII, etc. We are Preppers. We will survive. They will ALL be like Hurricane Sandy refugees. Whining, crying and dying. Perfect.

Apparently, good and truth means nothing. I’m not talking about Romney, that milktoast Leftist from the East Coast. I’m talking about basic honesty, decency, honor, these things mean nothing. The world runs, apparently quite well, on hate, deceit, lies, racism, baby killing and sneering.
There’s a guy in the office I’m listening to, and he’s stating “Well, I’m a registered Republican, have been for life, but I really hoped we’d vote to get something done, anything. I voted for Obama because I was hoping we’d be able to do something moving forward, even if it was wrong”. And he’s not lying, he is (in theory) GOP, we’ve talked before. Yes, this is the face of the milktoast GOP.
I’m done. I’m done caring what the racist sneering animals do to people like him, and I have no concern if Obama votes to round his kind up and let them rot in camps. They deserve it. The people who voted for this lying miscreant deserve everything they get. I hope that they get a long, hard helping of the real nature of what they voted for. I will not participate.

I don’t know the tax law, but do you have to pay income taxes each pay period or can you wait and pay the full year in April the following year (even longer with an extension)? Can you imagine what would happen if all conservatives made the federal government wait until April 15, 2014 to receive the tax revenue from a huge portion of the population for a full year and a half? You would have to eventually pay your tax, but while you’re saving this tax money you’re collecting interest (not much, but some) on your money. Is this just a pipe dream?

For anyone who is young enough and still building assets – move to a different country. Your input is no longer welcome – you are the enemy of this administration and its supporters. I’d be angry like you too except for the fact that I’m tired of being angry. Actually my anger has gone cold like steel. I like Rush’s idea; kick all of the Liberals out of the West coast (and shoot them if they try to come back). Conservatives and producers only on the beautiful West Coast. The East will collapse and starve to death within a decade. We’re already two different countries . But since armed revolution still seems impractical (though I’d be amenable to it at this point if it happened), it looks like I’m headed in the direction of passive resistance as are you too apparently. As perhaps many, many of us are! I never thought I could do it, but I’m seriously thinking about plopping my happy ass in a chair at the welfare office and demanding MY handout. If they want a welfare state well I want mine too. Bring on the collapse! Let’s do it! Everything I get from the government will go toward furthering my small, cottage business and my prepping. I’m going underground with everything. I am going to take from government and not give them anything back. Passive aggression, if you will. Nov. 7, 2012 at 10:29amWas Romney not Right enough? Or are we as a country too far to the Left in our thinking? I believe its the latter. I see a clear choice that we had, it was close but some decided wrongly which will of course further drag this nation into ruin all because people want more and more from the government. It won’t end well!
We will all know what its like to be a third world nation and soon. Once we arrive at this destination, our politicians will point fingers and of course once again and for the millionth time blame republicans when it was Dems who controlled the house and senate beginning on Bush’s last term in 2006. They had control straight to the collapse of the markets in 2008 and still had a mandate after BHO was elected in 09 until the Tea Party folks stepped in in 2010 to right the ship of state.
We’ve along way to go. No one I think in their right minds can blame Romney. He worked hard to the last minute and ran a terrific and clean campaign. We might however look harder next time to find someone actually right of center instead of left of center as Romney and most republicans are these days.
I predicted an Obama election in 08 and his re-election 2012…how did I know that? Because I’m a realist who looks at what we’ve become not as some wish we were. I don’t live in a bubble. Nov. 7, 2012 at 10:30amThe Republican Party was founded in the 1850s to advocate for abolition of slavery and as such was the anti-Southern party. 150 years later it is ironic that the Republican party survives as a national party only because Southerners are its base, and that is largely because of the anti-communist and traditionalist fiscal and social perspectives of President Ronald Reagan. But Republican party officials are deciding that Southerners are just in the way now. Commentators as diverse as Professor Tavis Smiley and Republican Campaign Professional Ed Rollins both stated that Southern white voters must be marginalized in the party in order to keep the Republican Party viable. Traditionally minded people have long held no place among the Republican party elite, and they have thought this way for quite some time. I am hoping that this election will finally make Southerners wake up & understand that their political voice has no hearing among Republican officials. The Cold War is over, & Republicans are deciding they don’t need us anymore. As far as they’re concerned, and this election proves it in their minds, Southerners are just in the way. The problem is, they need us. Without us, they don’t survive as a national party. That truth is a great power that Southerners must seize, and the sooner the better. We don’t need the Republican party, and the sooner we leave them the better off we will be and will be on the road to governing our selves. Deo Vindice.

It infuriates the heck out of me to hear a lot of today’s so called conservative pundits talk about how the Republican party ended slavery and was against segregation. Although there may be an element of truth to that it’s really just not so and it’s being very liberal w/ the truth.
Regardless I doubt that even 20% of the conservatives in the Republican Party actually understand your point.. That’s how really dumbed down our soceity has become.
But back to what you are saying… Yes the pundits especially in the Republican party will try to tell us we have to reach out to immigrants and minorities to expand our base as if…. If minorities vote 90-95% Dem now what makes them think they will go for the Republican party? What could we possibly offer them?? Welfare? P C . The first was the stealing of the electorate by the nominee. He stole the nomination right out from the public at the R. N. C. . Then there was the theft of the election by the Fraudulent ballots; then there was the intimidation of voters and poll watchers; and finally there was the quitting of the nominee himself; he quit before the returns were in.
It seems to me that Mister Romney quit too early.
With all the fraud in the voting booths; the fiasco at the R. N. C., and the quit before all the votes are cast; just what do you expect?
I have to agree with Donald Trump. The only problem will be whether or not our military is on our side.

And it is inexcuseable that people like you are ignoring the warning signs. Those who lived under tyrants in other countries, and those who study the history of those things know what to look for, and the current “liberals” in America are showing all the signs. What is the point of knowing what warnings to spot if we have so many like you who just bluster and ridicule those who sound the alarm? This is serious.

Bush signed 170 (a total of 291 days during his eight-years). Ronald Reagan signed 381. Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the most executive orders of any president – a total of 3,522 in 12 years (figures courtesy of the American Presidency Project).
Incidentally, at the end of his first term Obama took just over 78 vacation days. In his first term alone, Bush took 180 vacation days. In fact, Bush holds the record for vacation days at 1,020 days total while in office. That means he spent over 30% of his presidency on vacation.

Well, no more. Come 2016 (assuming there *is* an election) I will vote my conscience. I probably will never vote for a winner, and the GOP has lost me forever. It should be challenged to the end. That’s how important this race was but no….because he conceded….it’s over. whatever!!! we’re screwed!! The cheaters win again.

Nov. 7, 2012 at 1:17amI agree, but there were other complicating factors such as the vicious negative campaign, and the fact the MSM was in the tank for Obama.
Conservatives need to be able to sell a cogent ideology that resonates with their base and those who may be toying with conservatism. I’m not sure they were able to do this. Perhaps its an age thing – Gen Y and the Me Gen are accustomed to “in your face” politics. The GOP had their gloves on (eg.Mitt not mentioning Benghazi in the final debate).
Worst thing is, some nasty things are now visible on the horizon because of this result. God help America.

It wasn’t Romney, he did well. Even if George Washington was resurrected and ran- he would have lost; Romney was very close to George Washington. Its the mentality of the country that has shifted; yes we are still center-right, but more Americans have adopted the European mentality, and favor larger gov, because they feel gov should care for them more- that is what this election has said. This needed to happen, Obama’s re-election. Yes things will sadly be bad under him, especially since he won’t have to worry about re-election. However America needs to be spanked if you will- it needs to be taught a lesson. Let those who’ve voted for it, get a little taste of what goes on in Europe. When it falls apart (and it will), they will reject it, and we will shift back. Because of how this country was set up, and because of the people in it, like those in the Tea Party- we can shift back… Europe cannot. Though in order for the Republican party to survive, there needs to be some changes… The staunch approach on social issues needs to go, the party needs to be more Lincoln, and Reagan- mostly Lincoln.

You can say he was not aggressive enough over Benghazi which I would agree with but frankly that would not have bought or brought him anything. I was never a big Romney fan but I will not accuse him of leaving the field of battle without having given his all.
A bigger problem is where do we go from here? I’m mortified. We will soon go over the fiscal cliff which will be followed by a massive recession. Economic ruin follows.

To be more precise, commies have brainwashed the populace into thinking that big govt. is a good thing. They have succeeded because they control the media.
I’ve been saying this all along. Once commies rise to power, they have to be deposed, and even then, it’s like a cancer in remission. There is always a chance that it will recur.

Nov. 7, 2012 at 1:19amThe country re-elected Obama. So be it. They also re-elected a Republican House. So be it.
We have a divided government, and it is the responsibility of BOTH parties to act in good will. Obama won re-election by running 85% negative attack ads. If he stops that nonsense tonight and tries to work with Congress, we might have a chance to address the major problems we face. If he keeps thinking this is all a big campaign and his best chance of winning is to try to destroy the Republican House leaders, we’re utterly screwed because the country will grind to a halt and implode.
Obama is the President, he has the responsibility to lead. Attacks are not a strategy for the future, and I’m not at all confident that Obama can pull out of attack mode to go into leadership mode. Time will tell.

WE need to wake up tomorrow and work harder. WE (You, me and every God loving God fearing person in this world) need to prepare and be the light for our families, friends and neighbors. We must stay strong because we are going to face extremely difficult times ahead.
I’m very sorry for you all and for your country. I won’t lie, is almost impossible for your country to survive the next 4 years. Putting aside all the dangers we discuss here daily, we must to admit that this time Biden will be a temptation for internal and external foes to kill Obama. Let’s face it, USA will be a tiger paper for her foes under Obama. But not just that, again putting aside everything, Obama will appoint two new Justices and that will be the final nail of your Constitution’s coffin, and the good bye for your liberties.
Irrelevant, we knew in the bottom of our hearts that we probably had to face the end of the world in our lifetime. Maybe it’s time to face that The Book says that, and the fall of USA is needed before that starts. It’s hard for you all, but the fight will be long and we, the sons of God, neither are weak, nor coward or stupid. We are going to fight to the very end for what is good, for liberty, love, justice, fairness, forgiveness and honor. This is just the start of a new era of harder work, and if we don’t get the results in this life, we surely are going to get them in the next one.

God bless you and your family too!!!!! I’m in Colombia, and I’m not joking, tomorrow I’m going to close some new deals that I have been considering for long time (I work in corporate finance). I really need all the money I can get for the dark times ahead us.
I was really expecting Romney to win BIG, but now I realize that we are heading for the real deal, and I’m very shocked and a little bit scared too. I’m not living there, but this is not matter of countries anymore. If USA falls, the West will fall behind her, and our countries are way weaker than yours. We are going to feel it harder!!!
For those that are saying God is turning his back on your country, that might be true or not, but we can be sure that He is not doing it on every individual. You were voting today against evil and He will remember that!! We don’t believe in collective salvation, and therefore we don’t believe in collective condemnation also!! We don’t know God’s plans, so don’t judge Him nor put words in His Mouth!!….The evil must reign before its fall and the coming of Our Lord. That’s it, and from now on, we must work harder!!!….we are not going to be cheap for our enemies!!!

Nov. 7, 2012 at 12:58amCheat, lie, indoctrinate, threaten, and silence — the ways evil has (apparently) won today.
I still have faith in the vision of a much better American of the future. Where blacks understand the truth and would never vote for someone because of skin color, nor whites or anyone else, and would not fall for these deceptions. Where women are so filled with knowledge of love that they would be horrified at the idea of being complicit in murdering their children. Where men despise false macho-ness or hate, and are motivated to stand up for what’s right out of love. Where all humans do their own research to through the lies of the left, and are welcomed to join us here in Americanism.
It can still happen. Spread love, logic, and keep faith.
To happen, we must rely on our Creator and Savior Jesus Christ — and work hard to serve him in spreading His love, and His truth, or it would all be futile anyway. We need to stand for biblical truth on all issues, understanding that deceivers will use anything, even the seeming side issues — because compromising with evil is not working. It’s allowing the evil to spread. We need to take a stand WITHOUT resorting to pride or hate ourselves, but stand on pure love. And remember that the Bible does warn that eventually evil will seem to win on this Earth, but God still has a plan for our salvation in the end — and we must work as hard as we can to make sure now is not the end, for the sake of the lost.
And pray. :)

Nov. 7, 2012 at 3:34am“Religion is basically the definition of illogical.”
So say atheists, but they have yet to present a logic case to back up such claims. Atheism is spread by forced ignorance — you’re not allowed to fairly hear the other sides out. Of course, I believe in biblical Christianity, not just any old religion, so it is true that other religions are illogical, IMO. :)
But I suggest that there is something even more important than logic, despite being a logician — and that is love. Atheism has been a hotbed of hatred lately, and of attacking others. Even though you are illogical, I believe that to pridefully or hatefully attack you back would be wrong. Instead, I choose to love you, and wish that you would see the truth and accept Jesus, learning to love as well. :)
