‘Real News:’ How Can the GOP Change Their Relationship With Latino-Americans?

Back in August, the Republican National Convention showcased a number of high-profile hispanic conservatives like New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuno and then candidate, now Texas Senator, Ted Cruz. Despite a trend of rising young conservative stars from the Hispanic community, Mitt Romney and the Republican Party failed in featuring strong, clear and appealing positions on effective immigration reform, in part leading to President Barack Obama taking over 70 percent of the Latino vote. Romney did worse among the growing ethnic group than John McCain did in 2008.With large hispanic communities in key swing states like Florida and Colorado, it’s clear that Republicans need a new approach for appealing to the growing constituency.

How can the GOP change its relationship – with All people? Simply by listening. Meet people, where they are, and listen. The GOP has been playing catch-up for 80 years; now is the time to get out front of issues, and stop lying to folks.

I want to secede from the Union … let the Marxist take care of those that want free stuff … the rest of us, and anyone of any color that hold the same Constitutional principles, free market and capitalistic stance will be welcomed with open arms … Those that don’t can pound sand. But wait! We already see the ultimate results of such Marxists policies … California! … Along with the empirical evidence of democrat Marxist policies in Detroit, and other major cities.

Screw them. They claim to be hard workers but are just as lazy as the blacks and just want free stuff. States like AZ and AL passing strong immigration laws have the leaches leaving in droves to liberal states. Let them all live in the liberal states and make those states go bankrupt. Look at cal catering to the mexicans and that place is a toilet.

Romney’s plan for immigration reform had only one flaw: he did not handle the issue of what to do about illegal immigrants currently in this country in a way that attracted Hispanics to him.

Rather than advocate “self-deportation” (tho he should implement the measures that would eliminate incentives to come here illegally), he should offer illegals the opportunity to come here thru the legal process (including all fee and necessary background checks), on one condition: they should be required to either pay a fine, or work equivalent community service hours, for having broken the law. This would have been a compromise leaving both illegal and legal immigrants being unable to say they were cheated.

I agree, there needs to be outreach to Latinos for the sake of the country. Latino immigrants will become the majority in 30 years. We need to do it for the sake of our children.

  There was a story on WND about Obama being part of the low down club…it is for men that want to appear straight in public but are have gay sex ….it is in Chicago.. if it is true Obamas inner circle Holder and Axelrod to name a few are probably members also. Hispanics and blacks are not really into the progressive gay thing.

It was BS that she was spouting … The number of thinking Latin people are rare as the conservative black. It all has to do how much free stuff you give them.. Free EBT Cards, free education, free housing and free medical care. No waiting in line to be a citizen, open borders.

What is going to come to volition is that Latinos and Arabs breed like rabbits and Blacks are being aborted by the thousands. Soon the time will come when the three groups will clash for the free stuff, political power. The blacks will get the short end of the stick because Latinos and Arabs are racists too. Look at the spanish TV programs, very very few black spanish actors.

  It changed after the “War on Poverty” Victor. The most culturally destructive event that has ever occurred in this nation, and yet minorities still worship Democrats like Gods for it. Blacks have been lockstep with Liberals ever since then, even though many of their cultural beliefs should place them as staunch conservatives. The same thing is happening with the Hispanics.   The only reason why Democrats are “diversified” is the fact that those groups are told that they are wrong for voting for the “white people” party. What you say is no better than calling a black person the “n” word. I am told by Democrats every day that I am a bad person for not voting for and with my “black brother” even if my “black brother” agrees with killing babies, taking wealth of those who work for it, and growing government. My only “brother” is the one that sees me as a “man” and not a “black man”

Why bother? After looking at what countries that Latinos come from, and their apparent desire to bring that same heap of human wreckage here. “Freedom,” “Prosperity,” and “Liberty” are all lost upon them. Let them gorge themselves on government goodies, let them bring all their buddies here so that they will never be anything more than an army of self imposed serfs. I’ll give them all the things they wanted, and then I will watch gladly as the world burns.
