‘Real News:’ Obama Wins Reelection, What Agenda Do We Expect to See From Here?

Shortly after Ohio was projected to be in the president’s column, Republican challenger Mitt Romney called to concede and after nearly two years of campaigns we learned that Barack Obama would be elected to a second term. The comfortable electoral vote and tight popular vote win for Obama did not confirm a voter mandate for the president, but amidst scandal and chaos with American foreign policy in the Middle East since the Arab Spring; bitter partisanship over a healthcare law greatly extending the scope of government; and four years of never getting the unemployment rate lower than the day he took office; the president’s margin of victory was a surprise to some.

On ‘Real News‘ Wednesday the panel recapped the electoral and popular vote results Tuesday, and what we might expect from an Obama second term–not just the issues we face but also what kind of agenda he will pursue. A Reuters news analysis Wednesday notes that Obama in his second term could pursue an expansive agenda looking to revamp the nation’s immigration laws, build upon his healthcare law to further reform the system, or more policy increasing federal spending on education, jobs and energy programs. The Reuters article actually writes “In at least one respect, Tuesday’s election results vindicated Obama’s belief in an activist government.”

Activist government?

    there agenda……We have to realize that they are not smart…..Election night i was sitting in a bar and was talking to another person about all the Muslims entering our government…..And as Diana West said it happened i was called a racists….Well what dose this tell us???????? Last time i checked Muslim was a religion………These people are to stupid to see this coming….Of coarse we will have to fight for freedom of speech and our gun rights………The way i look at it is scooter stirred up this pot and now we have to deal with it ……All i can say is like the song by AC/DC YOU WANT BLOOD YOU GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    For the next two years, President Obama, the Democratic Party and their media friends will concentrate on marginalizing and destroying Republican power in the House allowing them to take it over at the next midterm elections. The groundwork for this has already begun with party and friendly media pundits starting to praise President Obama’s move to the center and his bipartisan outreach. While selling this approach to the public, there will of course be no actual move to the center or compromise and we will watch our country slip further into the abyss. This will be blamed on the Republicans with the hope of further isolating them as right wing extremists that need to be removed from power for the common good. The idea that a leftist ideolog like President Obama will move to a centrist position or compromise with the Republicans is ludicrous. He couldn’t even pretend to do this before the election for fear of losing his leftist base. If this strategy works (with the perceptions of the voting majority seen in the election, it probably will) we will finely get to see what the lefts true vision of their “New America” really is during the last two years of the Obama Presidency.

    Death panels.Health care rationing. War in the Middle East. Israel under attack. Gas prices between $3.50 and $5.00 a gallon. More abortions. Euthanasia of the elderly. More free stuff for the permanent under class.

    Prices of everything higher
    Within a week you are out of work, you will receive your EBT card just the AARP Card yo get when you reach 50.
    Cars with a 30 MPG or lower will be taxes
    You have revolver/rifle you will be “asked” to turn it in or else.
    Now that you get free condoms, you will be getting free recreational pharmaceuticals since it is your right. Using drugs is a health issue.
    Churches and Synagogues will be closed on some technicality.
    It will be unlawful to sell bibles in a store or on the internet.

    The next steps will be slow and painful. Death by creep I think they call it.

    I also think there will be a galvanizing of extremes – left and right. The two ends will go into their bunkers and burn the middle. There will be no place for ambivalence, you will be required to take sides. Wait until more overt moves to usher in the Caliphate start to occur.

    I for One am going to check out for awhile. I am putting books on tape in the car for my comute daily to work. I am turning off the cable news, I am not going to stop by the Blaze or Drudge for awhile. Maybe if we get so uninformed we will win next time. But i really am taking abreak from all the bull from both sides.

    The coming days are going to be scary. Executive orders, yes…and my real fear is when the UN will be allowed, by the administration, to inflict its own agenda. Scary stuff!! This second term is to finish the job so that the new order can be established.

      You are correct in your comments. These next 4 years are going to be horrible beyond belief. Our freedoms will be removed from us, the constitution trashed. cost of living impossible, taxes through the roof, the value of life will be gone. The destruction of our Military and loss of self defense will lead to us being attacked by rogue nations. We will NOT have any protection. This is truly a nightmare. The people who voted for this moron, did NOT have a clue.

      Sure you did dude. Just like the GMO food you like that was on California’s vote to label GMO food.
      60% of the votes during the election were for labeling GMO foods and when the voting ended it was 60% of the against labeling GMO food.
      And the same thing happened to Allen West in Florida when he was ahead 2,400 votes and ended up losing by 2,400 votes.

The good news is when the depression hits most of you parasites will die off and that will go a long way in healing the country.

      True – this assumes there will be enough of the patriots who love freedom and country survive the purges of Obama to make a final stand to take the land back.

      In the growing insanity of Obama I still say he is capable of doing anything he feels necessary to hold onto absolute power.
