7 Members of SEAL Team 6 Reportedly Punished for ‘Secrecy Breach’
WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — A senior defense official says seven members of the secretive Navy SEAL Team 6, including one involved in the mission to kill al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, have been punished for allegedly disclosing classified information.
The official, who discussed the matter on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case, says the seven received what the military calls “nonjudicial” punishment on Wednesday. They are alleged to have provided the information to the maker of a video game.
The official says four other SEALs are under investigation for similar alleged disclosures.
The punishments were first reported by CBS News.

Instead of blaming Obama for 4 lives, perhaps you should blame Bush and Cheney for the thousands of lives dead under their watch. Be real people.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 8:32amI guess I’m the ONLY FREAKING person who remembers why the Iraq war started. Listen up you idiot liberals because this is the last time I’m going to explain this to you morons:
1.) We invaded Iraq after 13 (of your beloved) U.N. resolutions to allow inspectors in were defied. Saddam could have stopped it.
2.) Every intelligence agency in the world thought Saddam had more than he apparently did. Saddam’s captured scientists told us they were lying to Saddam about how far along their nuke program was out of fear of being killed. So Saddam even thought he was close to having them.
3.) We have satellite photos of convoys of Iraqi trucks taking something into Syria days before the invasion. And they weren’t Wal-Mart trucks.
4.) He DID have WMDs. We found ware houses full of mustard gas tipped artillery and other military items ILLEGALLY sold to them by the French and Russia. (FYI, chemical weapons are classified as a WMD.)
5.) Last but not least, Saddam routinely fired at our aircraft patrolling the no-fly zone (and we have video) thereby nullifying the cease fire they signed in the 91 Gulf War.
This is why the war was completely legal and withing Bush’s right (and he had congressional approval and congress had the SAME EXACT INTELLIGENCE briefings. So shut up, quit whining and listening to your communist media. They are the ones lying to you.
Bush’s problem was that the idiot wouldn’t defend himself and allowed you low pink-O morons to believe this no

He was really cleaning up what Clinton should have dealt with. Clinton got run out of Somalia and got punked by terrorists at every turn. His ineptitude and unwillingness to fight for what is right ENCOURAGED terrorist attacks and the expansion of militant Islamists.
Obama is following through on his father’s dreams making retirbutions to former colonies of Europeans and America. Time to impeach him. No compromise on the economy, let it burn. We can rebuild from the ashes.

You are correct. Nonjudicial punishment falls under Article 15, UCMJ. The penalty can range from loss of rank to a simple DF in their 201 file. If what the SEALS did is true, they did provide information on methods, tactics and capability to a video game company. All of which is against the rules.
While I am no Obama fan, he has nothing to do with this. Nonjudicial punishment is the least amount of punishment and is given at the unit level. I had to give a couple of Article 15′s during my short career in the Army. This is not a big deal.

The Sewer Rat-in-Chief has invited Muslims to the WH for dinner who were named by Judge Jorge Solis as “unindicted co-conspirators” in the Holy Land Foundation terror trial; but, these guys get whacked for talking to a game developer? The Sewer Rat-in Chief leaves men to die in Benghazi so he doesn’t spoil the “Al Qaeda is dead” narrative; but, the SEALS get smudges on their records?
The Sewer Rat-in-Chief orders terrorists listed on the State Department no fly lists to be “de-listed” so that the terrorists can come to the WH to meet for a little gun running strategy; but, the chain-of-command doesn’t stand up for these men? Does this mean, like it smells, that the chain is part of the sewer rat gang?
As a group, I just don’t think it pays to dry _ _ck the Dev Group SEALS.
