Chris Christie Blasts Media for Careless, Awful Reporting: I Didnt Call the President, The President Called Me

New Jersey governor Chris Christie blasted the media during a news conference on Friday over “careless, awful” reporting regarding Superstorm Sandy and his interactions with President Barack Obama, CBS Philly reports.

When asked about a price gouging lawsuit filed in Bergen County, Christie set the record straight, telling reporters “you guys are starting to really misreport things. We were not part of the lawsuit.”

The New Jersey governor then took a swing at Bloomberg for reporting — incorrectly — that he called President Obama earlier this week to congratulate him on his election victory but only emailed GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

“Bloomberg had some incredibly careless reporting yesterday, saying that I called the president yesterday to congratulate him on his victory — absolutely careless, awful reporting,” Christie said. “Listen guys, people take the stuff you write seriously and I try to speak with real precision behind this microphone. So don’t report that I called the president when I didn’t; the president called me.”

“Christie set the record straight saying President Obama calls him every day and at the start of the call in question he did congratulated him and moved on to discuss the situation at hand,” CBS Philly reports.

Presumably, Christie meant the president has called him every day since Hurricane Sandy tore through his state, but the CBS affiliate did not clarify.

Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie keeps leaving out the fact that since he praise of the Emperor photo-op things are still bad in NJ. I have family there so I know for a fact. He is not who you think he is I suggest everyone tak e a look at the expose` done on him by conservativenewjeresy.com Krisypy Kreme is great for video one liners but thats about it, he is more liberal leaning than right.

I suggest folks in NJ consider kicking him out b/c last I heard aside from the lack of help in NJ tax issues there havent gotten better either

I think Christie will have a problem on a national level is he remains a Republican but he is a good governor & I can’t see why he wouldn’t be re-elected. If the Republicans don’t vote for him in NJ, they would end up with lot worse just like the Republicans who didn’t vote in the presidential election. I guess if they were stupid enough to stay house, they could do the same with NJ. Anyway, I’m done with Christie.

It’s called marginalization. Christie didn’t put up with any bullcrap, and now they’ve found the “right” way to deal with him. Get the morons who are emotional about the election to use him as a scapegoat, and blame him for the loss of the Presidency. It worked in Nazi Germany, it works in Alinsky-esque tactics as well. I don’t know how many of those who post on this site are Liberals posing as Conservatives, but I’d say it would not be a stretch to say that it may be many.

Don’t believe me? Just turn on MSNBC or read the NYT any time a Republican or conservative is mentioned. Right, because he put politics aside and worked with members of the other party to solve a problem. He didn’t just lie and say that was what he wanted to do. He actually did it. And you think that is going to hurt him because you really believe that’s what the majority of voters DON’T want. You think that when you read what voters have to say, and they all say they want politicians to put the good of the people above politics and work together to solve problems, those are just crackpots and weirdos, and that the majority of normal people are just like you. They would rather see nothing ever get done than to see a problem get solved and people you don’t agree with on every issue getting some of the credit.

    Liar.

Obama won, I get it, do you? A local leader sold out his State of NJ… and it’s filthy. A local leader who thinks he can do an end run on a President (in 4 years) while he sells out his base.

The local leader wants his fiefdom. The local leader wants a certain impunity from the law so he can “manage” his welfare state the way he wants to… like a prince.

The local leader thinks that when the President is done with his second term he can stab him in the back and win the Grand Prize! I say, this Mussolini who gave away his people to a Hitler does not know or understand history.
