Chris Christie Congratulated Obama by Phone After Election — ‘Exchanged Emails’ with Romney
In October before Hurricane Sandy, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie criticized Obama, pointing out his “massive leadership failings” to Romney supporters in Virginia. After Sandy struck, Christie himself was seeing criticism after he praised Obama for his response to the disaster. Now, Christie has been courteous to the president again, giving him a congratulatory phone call after his re-election was announced.
Bloomberg reported Christie recalling to reporters at the National Guard Armory in Franklin Township that he exchanged pleasantries with Obama via phone after Tuesday’s results.
“We didn’t have a political strategy discussion. I said, `Congratulations on your win last night, Mr. President,’ and he said, `Thank you,’” Christie said. As for GOP candidate Mitt Romney, Christie has only connected with him via email.

“No; we exchanged e-mails last night. We haven’t spoken on the phone yet,” Christie said when asked about his contact with Romney after the election, according to Bloomberg.
Last week, TheBlaze reported that Christie might have been Romney’s first pick for vice president before he decided officially upon Paul Ryan. The report, initially by Politico, stated that there were many reasons that Christie might have fallen “further from favor in Romney’s inner circle,” including his speech at the Republican National Convention, which some thought focused more on himself and less on Romney.

Fox News reporter Rick Levanthal brought up Christie’s praise for Obama last week as well:
“While people understand your commitment to the people of New Jersey and the need to get them help, some have questioned where you are now with your endorsement of Mitt Romney.”
To this Christie said: “This is the kind of silliness that, that really drives me crazy. Listen, I was the first governor in America to endorse Mitt Romney. I endorsed him 13 months ago, I traveled all around the country for him, I raised millions of dollars for him, I spoke at literally dozens and dozens of rallies for him. And I did that because I thought when I endorsed him that he was the best person to bring America back its jobs, its economy and its greatness in the world.”

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 2:28pmAll Christie needed to say to Oblameo was a simple,
“Thank you for doing your job & acting responsibly, as a President should.”
PERIOD !
Flashback to the Gulf Oil Spill when Oblameo
completely ignored Gov. Bobby Jindahl, who worked tirelessly,
trying to take control of the situation
with NO help from Oblameo or his Democratic administration.
When a frustrated Jindahl finally voiced his concerns,
they ALL gave him the cold shoulder like a bunch of thin-skinned punks.
Yeah, does Christie come down hard on the Unions, etc. ?
Yeah, has he done some good things ?
Don’t be fooled, he is more kindred to Oblameo’s ambition & ego,
than to the American People.
Remember, he got up on the RNC Convention stage-
conveniently forgot to talk about Romney
& went on & on about himself, as if HE were the nominee.
He may be tough but he has no class-
the loudmouth responds to female questions,
by roughly saying,” Listen, Sweetheart”-
in that very condescending Tony Soprano tone.
I don’t care what political persuasion the questioner is-
it’s beneath dignity to pull that “Listen, Sweetheart” crap on anyone,
especially in a public forum.
He’s got a NASTY liberal attitude.
He’s obsessively overweight,
when he did an interview with his family-
all of them ran to the dining table…a non-stop parade of porkers-
young, morbidly obese kids.
Maybe he needs Ma Michelle to come give a lecture.
He’s a slob, more like Oblameo than Romney !

He could have waited until after the election to brown-nose Obama for helping with the disaster. He could have waited to see if the citizens of New Jersey thought Obama deserved any credit. Most people there are wondering where the help is. Obama will pay the unions enormous amounts of money to rebuild, but the average family will see virtually none of it, and what they do get will be a long time coming.

I’m not really beating up on Beck too much, at least he’s exposed a silent majority to some semblance of the word “libertarian”, but he works far too much in the emotional sphere for my comfort sometimes.

I understand that. That said, women also like people who are rational. Not all women are run by their hormones, as I hear.
It’s not that Beck gets emotional occasionally, rather, that he does it so frequently. Nobody wants a cold stone Vulcan, but on the other hand constant emotionalism doesn’t lend much intellectual credence to his position. He needs to learn to moderate his judgements and temper his initial impulses until he has more facts on his side, sometimes. This is usually only in regards to the people he endorses more than anything else. On topics of policy his staff and him do a fair job at least trying to research and present facts as they see them.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 2:13pmAnon, same reason some people like Coulter. She says snarky things about people they don’t like. I personally doubt her conservative credentials anyway. I think she has just figured out a clever way to sell books. I think she could just as easily do the same thing from the left if she thought that it was more lucrative. She is a long time friend of Bill Maher. Could you be friends with Bill Maher? I sure as hell couldn’t.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:59pmHi Soy –
Not sure what he is – that’s the problem. He seems to kiss up to whomever he believes can lift his political career to the federal level. I’ll admit, I’m very surprised.
On a lighter note – is anyone else really excited for the remake of “Red Dawn”?

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 1:29pmYES!
I have the old Red Dawn (netflix) at my house to watch this weekend! Need to see the original before the new one.
The future is either Red Dawn or Ron Paul – i dont see any other options

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:25pmrino christie deliberately out of spite and self-enrichment helped sink 100% AMERICAN Presidential Romney and in doing so he helped obama destroy America. christie will never be anything American again. people remember Benedict Arnold’s name as a traitor 236 years later, and chris christie carved his own name in stone right next to it.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:24pmQuoting Pat “FAT BASTARD” My opinion on Chris Christie is my about the same as I have for Justice Roberts….just drop the the “FAT” part. I mean the polls said 42% of the people were influenced by Sandy Christie is part of that whole optic. I think he can probably kiss hopes of 2016 …This Romney loss is a tough one to swallow not that was the conservative hope but at the least he would have stopped the bleeding.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:40pmSo any time someone disagrees with us we resort to name calling? Wow how far we’ve come. I’m on your side, at least I thought I was but now I’m starting to question our moral judgement. We have to be better than name calling.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:23pmChris Christie. Someone who thought he could kiss Obama’s backside to help the people suffering in NJ, but it turns out he was just another one-night-stand and the people of NJ are still suffering. I wonder if he feels dirty now? Somehow I don’t think he does. After all, he still has electricity, available food and water and a way to connect with the outside world. It must be nice to be included in Obama’s harem. You Go Boy!

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 12:20pmSo many people are upset by the turnout of this election. All I have to say is that if you are a Jesus follower and believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God, then ALL of this makes sense. Obama was GOING DOWN. And then God allowed hurricane Sandy to come on in and Obama had a chance to look Presidential again. He savored the opportunity and made the most of it. And 2 states that had a HUGE factor in the votes: NY and NJ. Chris Christie was fooled by the enemy about Obama just as MOST people have been. But at the end of the day, God is still in control. THIS was allowed by Him, perfectly permitted so that His glory will be revealed soon. Jesus, come quickly.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 1:25pmScuba13 – Yep. His political career is toast. He will be to Sandy what GW is to Katrina. Since he praised Obama’s efforts early in the game, he can’t use FEMA as an excuse. Obama’s puppet masters set him up like a Pinnata at kids birthday party. He may have ridden in on an elephant but he’ll be leaving on a rail. Does anyone else smell tar? Another progressive Republicrat bites the dust.
