Fox News Analyst on Petraeus Resignation: ‘These Tough Chicago Guys Knew…Held it in Their Back Pocket Until They Needed to Play the Card’
Fox News analyst Ralph Peters on Friday called the timing of Gen. David Petraeus’ sudden resignation as CIA director “just too perfect for the Obama administration” and speculated that “tough Chicago guys” held onto knowledge of the affair until they needed to push the spy chief out.
Peters, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, said on Fox News that just as the administration initially called the assault on the Benghazi consulate on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks “purely coincidence,” it’s again “purely coincidence” for the affair to surface after the election but before Petraeus went to Capitol Hill for questioning about Benghazi. CIA Acting Director Michael Morell will now testify instead of Petraeus.
“As an old intelligence analyst, the way I read this — and I could be totally wrong, this is my interpretation — is that the administration was unhappy with Petraeus not playing ball 100 percent on their party line story,” Peters said. “I think he was getting cold feet about testifying under oath about their party line story, and I suspect that these tough Chicago guys knew of this affair for a while, held it in their back pocket until they needed to play the card.”
He added, “Right after the election and right before Petraeus is supposed to get grilled on Capitol Hill, it just really smells.”
But Fox News’ Bret Baier reported shortly after the news of the resignation broke that a source close to Petraeus insisted it had nothing to do with what happened in Libya.
The source said Petraeus’ message was “tell the truth, it was my request, the White House did not pressure me to do this, this had nothing to do with Benghazi, nothing at all, this was my request, this had nothing to do with it. I want to testify about Benghazi, there was nothing to do with the White House pressuring to leave this job.”
Glenn Beck last month speculated that Petraeus would ultimately take the fall on Benghazi.
“Who have they tried to sell down the river every step of the way? The intelligence,” Beck said. “You watch. Petraeus is going to be the fall guy. They’re going to have him step down. They’re going to point all fingers to him.”

They disobeyed his orders saved Americans but lost their lives. Petraeus continued to stand by Obama in the coverup. Just as H Clinton tried to take the blame for him. But Petraeus did not stand by his men. So the CIA whispered in the ear of the FBI and his affair was discovered and revealed. Now Obama will invoke executive privilege to prevent Petraeus’s testimony. When Obama only half heartedly stands with Israel when it attacks Iran that will be Obama’s Waterloo. Obama is living on a razor’s edge just like Nixon who won a second term. Watch and see. Mossad will be blamed.

How did the Founding Fathers treat the Loyalists? I would have helped look at what it accomplished, the USA.
Do you think some British soldiers where killed at night in Boston, in the dark alleys, when they where staggering back to the barracks or one of the occupied homes, from the pub? Most likely we where fighting a guerrilla war.

I have been wondering when Petraeus was going to show his loyalty to the military since it has been his life. Well, I am sure that he told our faithless leader he was going to tell the truth–confirm the stand down orders, the confirmation that they always knew it was not a video, and Stevens was running guns for the Big Guy. And let us all go back to the time when Panetta and Petraeus switched jobs–does not really make sense because Panetta is qualified for nothing and Petraeus has the heart and the mind of his troops. How could an anti-military, anti-loyal president have him head the Defense Department when he would tell His Lowness “we do not leave anyone behind.” He would have exposed him immediately. Now let’s see if this General will do the right thing and expose the whole Benghazi mess–this will not be the last time it happens. This president apologizes to the Muslim world every other day, but did he call and apologize to the American moms, dads, wives, sisters and brothers of those who have been killed due to his apologies, or when the Afghan soldiers are given a weapon to train with our troops and they kill our soldiers? Bring our troops home because it does not matter to this president who dies as long as it does not offend the Muslim world.

First the drone incident on November 1, reported after election day and now Petraus stepping down, again AFTER election day. Maybe Obummer will give us another surprise and RESIGN!!!! How much more shameful can this Administration get?? But lest we forget Obummer says he’s willing to reach across the aisle and compromise. He doesn’t have a compromise bone in his body. If he wants the rich to pay more taxes, he could start out by leading by example. After all, he was paid by the US for his job as President in 2012 and certainly did not earn it considering he got in 100 rounds of golf and was out campaigning since the beginning of the year; that salary would go a long way toward paying off some of the debt for which he’s responsible.
What’s going to happen to the 50% who get paid from the 50% who work when that number of workers starts dwindling? But the liberals will give out of the generosity of their hearts.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 8:06pmI think it is either 1) He is using this as an excuse to get out of the CIA and not have to testify because he does not want to be the fall guy or 2) his boss (ie the President & his minions) were going to blackmail him into not telling the truth about Benghazi and he wanted none of that and WILL testify against the President.
I guess only time will tell. I just wish the hearings had been before the election! Although, msm most likely wouldn’t cover any of it anyway.

Well Obama is looking for a scapegoat and he has found one. While the general did in fact submit his resignation, citing his actions, it would only have been a matter of time till soneone in the administration would have “Leaked” the information.

Actually, I did. And so did everyone who followed reputable polling services and Nate Silver with 538 at NYT. They had it right all along. 538 called every state spot-on. Rove and Morris over at FOX were misleading viewers and multi-million dollar doners with “un-skewed polls.com”. It was the talk of FOX and Beck for a month and they were tragically wrong. I know polls are about math and statistics and electoral analysis is about history and science, and I know fundamentalists just love denying math and history and especially science. They must also like losing elections. And being lied to. Keep listening to FOX. Or you could wake up and realize the GOP has won the popular vote once since 1988. Once. 2004. That’s 5 out of 6. I’m sure Rove will assure you tonight that’s a sure sign that the country is moving to the right. So the GOP will listen and I’ll have to school you again on ‘electoral analysis’ again in November 2016.

But anyways If I somehow had enough money to buy off media outlets along with fraudulent votes, I would pump the info to these bought off media outlets of my choice so in the end I could have people like you go and tout how unreliable other sources are and then i would have control over the “credible” outlets.
And that theory is if you believe in the illusion of choice…..A republican could not have won, because both parties want a Universal health care system, but the republicans have to pretend to be against it to give you an illusion of choice…

There are others that are still waiting. People are cold and tired. They are sending in the Federal Government with military. Wonder if that will lead to martial law. There are gas lines for hours, so they made an odd/even rule. Gas stations can’t give out gas because they didn’t have a generator. The government could have sent us some. But no help. Honestly, what I see is people helping each other rather than our president.

That reason is that the end is near. IIt is God’s will and it has already been written. I found a website that explains the meaning of each passage of Revelations what to watch out for before it comes to pass. Almost everything that I read is happening now. The kool-aid drinkers tell me that the Bible is a fairytale. I just laugh. God is going to show the non-believers a fairy-HELL.
