Gas Rationing: 1970′s or 2012? You Decide!
With New Jersey town implementing 1970′s style licence plate gas rationing, we though you would like to take a quiz.  But first, ponder this thought from conservative icon Michelle Malkin, who lived through the first rationing in south New Jersey:
“My memories of gas rationing under Carter were vivid and indelible. I was a grade-schooler in south Jersey My younger brother and I sat in the back of an Aspen wagon with our panting poodle.  It was hot, sticky, slow & miserable. Government-engineered malaise at its worst. And now: History repeats itself.”
With that in mind please take our quiz, oh and try not to cheat by looking at fashion or make and models of the cars:
1. 1979 or 2012?
2. 1979 or 2012?
3. 1979 or 2012?
4. 1979 or 2012?
5. 1979 or 2012?
6. 1979 or 2012?
7. 1979 or 2012?
8. 1979 or 2012?
9. 1979 or 2012?
10. 1979 or 2012?
Answers?
1. 2012
2. 1979

5. 1979
6. 2012

Why is oil so toxic anyway and since when did native american start fishing so much, besides didn’t we beat them fair and square? I personally enjoy the fact that winters aren’t that cold anymore anyway!

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 11:13amEven if the adminstration would ease up on the permitting process, it would take years to get the rigs back in the Gulf, when they imposed the moratorium, alot of companies, instead allowing the rigs to sit idle and not show a profit, moved overseas and are now under contract somewhere else. On top of that, he gave billons to foreign governments to drill in the southern gulf, when none of the oil will ever be used in the US, it was already earmarked for China, (on a side note, the major stockholder for Petrobras, Brazil’s nationally owned oil company, is George Soros). Cuba, and Petrobras are drilling in the Gulf as we speak.

They gave up freedom for the promise of security and wound up with neither. And no gas to boot.

My statement was not about wishing natural disasters, it was about choices. America was warned not to touch the hot stove of communism, and yet Easterners have embraced it. Given up personal liberties in exchange for madness. Now (surprise!) the gub’ment that made you all sorts of promises in order to get you in bed can’t follow through. DUH.
This has been going on for decades, it’s nothing new – and yet it perpetuates like a self-loathing dysfunction.
As another poster mentioned, there are no “Confederate States”. By the way, those were all Democrat slave states anyway.
In any case, the point stands. Amerians from MANY States showed up to offer help. Many were rejected because they weren’t Union Workers. So tell me again which one are the crazies?
East Coast is not just suffering from a storm, but suffering from a self-inflicted wound.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 9:08pmExactly! When was the last time you saw a Ford LTD on the road? How many people today even know what an LTD is? Back then, gas tanks were metal, now they are plastic. I’m guessing the only people that would fail this “quiz” are the liberals. Of course, the lines in all the photos, all of it was Bush’s fault.
I could not believe that of those that voted for Obama, 54% said the even the economy today is the fault of GWB. Their heads are so full of sawdust, I don’t think they will ever catch onto reality.

Now, New York City, Long Island, And New Jersey. No lines in Texas, in fact price is going down. You want to live somewhere where any minor (yes MINOR) disruption in infrastructure results in this sort of catastrophe don’t come crying to me. If that had been a cat 3 storm instead of a cat 1…..

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 5:32pmIt’s sort of interesting that in Naw’leens Bush was terrible (besides he blew up the levees) for not going down there and getting in the way, not providing everything their little hearts desired immediately from food to housing. After Sandy Glorious Leader runs up there makes a bunch of so far unfilled promises, and leaves. THAT is just okay and wonderful apparently because we’ve heard hardly a thing about Sandy compared to Katrina this long after the storm.
Don’t criticize Glorious Leader even when he’s shown to be nothing but a lying blowhard though.

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 6:39pmROTH, What’s the problem with a couple of tanks that are obviously on display? The photo is 2012, the tank on the right is an M60A3, while the one to the left is at least an M60 variant. Probably another M60A3. Both are no longer in service with this nation. I really think the focus of the photographer were the lines of vehicles to get gas. In my opinion, not out of context at all.
