Meet the CIA’s New Acting Director: The Guy Who Led the Team That Tracked Down Bin Laden
With General David Petraeus stepping down as director of the CIA following reports of an extra-marital affair, the agency’s current deputy director will take over as director on an interim basis.
President Barack Obama first said that CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell would serve as acting director. Morell was the key CIA aide in the White House to President George W. Bush during the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

“I am completely confident that the CIA will continue to thrive and carry out its essential mission,” Obama said.
Oh yeah, Morell was also the “head of the CIA’s bin Laden Team,” according to an article in Vanity Fair. Read Morell’s official bio here.
Morell rather than Petraeus now is expected to testify at closed congressional briefings next week on the Sept. 11 attacks on the consulate in Benghazi.
Morell had served as deputy director since May 2010, after holding a number of top roles, including director for the agency’s analytical arm, which helps feed intelligence into the president’s daily brief. He also worked as an aide to former CIA director George Tenet.

I remember my parents sharing how important my vote would be one day. Tuesday I felt like I had to vote to change our country. Now I feel that no matter how I voted the outcome would be the same I still believe in that kind of America again, we’ll just have to wait 4 more years. I hope we make it!

What were the special forces doing in the raid, taking pictures, having a picnic, or having a vacation day at a resort? I can plan a dinner, but, the cook should be given credit for cooking the food.
If the speech givers and the pencil pushers helped the cooks; then, Americans would feel more secure that tax money was well spent. However, the cooks get negative letters put in their files and a reduction of their paycheck for something the President did himself, maybe more.
I think it is time for the cooks to retire and let the speech givers and pencil pushers the chance to cook the meals, too.

His job is to ensure that the outrage felt by the professional intelligence community finds an outlet.
He’s a professional’s professional and is leading the team that will purge government of all the traitors responsible for those four men losing their lives. Look for an avalanche of resignations from all branches of government at the end of this year. Lucky will be the ones who get to resign and head to the farm.
Naturally, the piece de resistance will be the Sewer Rat-in-Chief. Look for incontrovertible proof to surface about his guy-on-guy times, his dealings with Chicago mobsters and those college records declaring his Indonesian citizenship. The professionals can make all that happen rather easily. Up to now, they were bystanders, observing the treason. Benghazi put them in the game and the consequences for those involved will be life changing.
America’s reputation will be stained by Chicago filth; but, the four men lost in Benghazi will be vindicated.

He was one of the Marines in the First Flag Raising (while under fire) at Iwo Jima. He was the last undisputed surviving member of the “two” flag raisings. Died June 24, 2007. Richfield, MN.
Three blocks from my residence is Veterans Park. There is recently a new Memorial to Cpl. Charles W. “Chuck” Lindberg. A 12 foot bronze statue of him with the American flag waving high above it. And it is on a 4′ raised area. Surrounding it are large columns of granite with names of American Troops engraved. It is beautiful and it is not yet complete. It will have a stained glass dome covering it and the landscaping is taking shape. Chuck didn’t live to see it completed but he knew it was planned by the City. He is buried at Ft. Snelling Cemetary and his wife Violet Lindberg goes to our Chapel. I am delighted to be acquainted with her and hear her tales of her wonderful Marine. I go there sometimes to pray and read the names. Any service member living or deceased can have their name etched in the granite. There are 8 large pieces of granite surrounding the statue of Marine Cpl. Lindberg.

I will always love the Marines. During a time that we deployed to Korea, I do remember arriving at a Republic of Korea ROK base, spending 3 weeks working dawn till dusk to build a tent city, and having the air crews come in for a few weeks and complain that the base “Sucked”. Meanwhile, the Marines came in, piled 20 per tent, and loaded up on a C-130 at dawn, and arrived back at base after dark. Many times I heard the Marines compliment us on how well the base was the food at the chow hall, and the great shower/shave and latrine conditions. We even had the Marine Major come over and tell our Captain how well we did on building a base that the Marines were proud to operate out of, meanwhile, the Air Crews from the states complained that they had to live in “Tents” for 2 weeks. We stayed in tents for 3 months and didn’t leave until everyone was gone. The Army and Marines were the only ones that were grateful they weren’t sleeping in a hole. So, for one warrior to another, hoorah, and Semper Fi. I know who Chesty Puller was, and I have tremendous respect and love for the Marines.

I am certain many other events without media are occurring like careers stagnating or retirements encouraged. Plus, voluntary retirements due to concern of direction and seeing “the writing on the wall”.

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 12:32amAll I can say is, if General David Petraeus was having an affair on his wife, he deserves the disgrace he is receiving and will receive in the future. This is one of Gods commandments and should not be taken lightly. Sometimes I wonder about all of you on this site. You say how religious you are, then blame Obama for the disgrace of a person violating one of the big ten. If that is his character, then we need someone with good character taking his place. Hopefully that is what we get.

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 4:54amI know it’s unfair, but I think every guy who saw his wife felt a little sorry for the guy. Some women just don’t get it. The least they can do is give their man something to look forward to when they come home.
My theory is that she was recruited by Obama as a Mata Hari. The book was an excuse. “All In” pretty much describes what happened. I also think she’s got pics and/or videos. He’ll never talk.

Posted on November 10, 2012 at 12:50pmThat any person has an extra-marital affair is deplorable and consequences will be suffered. I believe the resignation of Petraeus is another cover up on Benghazi and glad to see that he’ll testify willingly or be subpoenaed.
By my list, I am only pointing out that we were told by bho 4 years ago that he would change the military to be bigger and stronger…can’t remember exact words…but he seems to be downgrading our military might. Perhaps to bring in the UN as enforcers? Get the point?

Why was the FBI investigating, when did the investigation start as there is more to this than just an affair. And the entire state dept. should be called to testify also. This admin has covered up everything they do, and I think it’s about time they come clean. This is the biggest fraud on America, and needs to be stopped NOW.

This statement is REVEALING.
When the Libya coverup was in its first few days and reached a fever pitch, it landed on the doorstep of Petraeus’ CIA. Petraeus issued a public statement essentially saying no directive came from the agency, which left Barry’s admin hanging in the wind.
They dont want Petraeus to talk.
