FBI Whistle-Blower Told Eric Cantor About Petraeus Affair in October

AP
An FBI whistleblower told House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in late October that ex-CIA Director David Petraeus had been involved in an extramarital affair and was potentially putting national security at risk, the New York Times reported Saturday.
Cantor reportedly knew about the affair for at least a week and a half before Petraeus resigned Friday.
“I was contacted by an F.B.I. employee concerned that sensitive, classified information may have been compromised and made certain Director Mueller was aware of these serious allegations and the potential risk to our national security,” Cantor said in a statement to the Times.
According to the Times, Cantor learned through Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Wash.) “that a whistle-blower wanted to speak to someone in the Congressional leadership about a national security concern.” Cantor’s chief of staff called the FBI afterward on Oct. 31 to inform them about what Cantor had learned.
A Cantor spokesman confirmed the report to CNN on Sunday.
The report is the first hard indication of someone outside the FBI knowing that Petraeus was under investigation prior to the two days before his resignation. Newsmax reported that “the White House, with concurrence by the FBI and Justice Department” held off asking Petraeus to resign until after the election, but the Associated Press reported that administration were first notified of the affair on Wednesday.
Senate Intelligence Committee chair Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) vowed Sunday to “absolutely” investigate why she was not told of the FBI’s probe sooner.

Posted on November 12, 2012 at 7:47amThe FBI was informed of “Irregularities” last spring. They began investigating immediately and by summer they knew that he affair was going on. The administration kept the affair secret until they needed a trump card. The card was played on the Benghazi disaster to keep Petraeus from testifying before Congress and telling the fact that Obama not only knew about the situation, but watched the whole thing at the White House and did nothing to try to save the lives of those brave individuals. Obama also didn’t want Petraeus to testify that the administration not only knew about the gun running to Syria but was the instigator of the action, using the ambassador as a front man.
If Cantor was informed about what was going on and didn’t call for a congressional investigation immediately, then he should be asked WHY. Is he a RINO, secretly afraid of rocking Obama’s boat? Was he afraid that he might be called racist because he challenged the administration just before the election?
How much damage might have been caused if the Russians, Cubans, Chinese or Islamist hardliners had found out all of this at the same time as the FBI? What kind of intelligence breaches might have occurred?
Here is just another example of Chicago Gangland style politics. Hold the trump card till it is needed then play it. Man, Al Capone would have been proud of this tactic.

Obama also did nothing to save those men because a big incident would hurt his election so he watched them die, made up a stupid story hoping it would pacify the people until election. These men are all cowards. Its funny nobody mentioning the newest lie about how shocked the administration was about his resignation when they were the ones who asked for it. Patreus OUT. Gen Hamm OUT. Whos next? It was funny hearing everyone asking why is the administration classifying every little detail about what happened in benghazi a few weeks ago. This is why. The Hearings. Posted on November 11, 2012 at 5:41pmCanto is an asshat also. Why can’t we find anyone in politics who is honest, has morals, and does their job the way the oath that they took is meant. Vote them out get new blood. Why is it that walker and others that seem to be the real deal, face recalls and these morally crimanal hacks just keep their seats at the table, lying to their constituits and making deals under the table to take care of their own wallets; while the american people pick up the tab. I’m in 3rd party. It may take years but we have to send a message. Cantor, Obama, Biden, Nixon, they are all cut from the same cloth. They think they are untouchable, and they look down upon the very people that got them their. It’s all a con game. Ryan, Rubio, Rand Paul, expose these people in your own party. That’s how we fix the Republican party, we take it back. Not give in to amnesty, welfare, and contraceptives.

It is possible for America to turn to Elohim and ask Him to forgive us and restore this nation He gave us. We and those we have elected to positions of power have been evil stewards and Hashem disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). I pray that this is God’s chastening and not a judgement because Jesus is returning soon, sooner than most people think possible.

it doesn’t really matter because Jesus is returning very soon. are you going with Him or are you going to stick around several years during the tribulation? we christians are told “pray that you are considered worthy to avoid the things (judgements) coming upon the earth”.
if you don’t believe in Jesus, none of what i just wrote makes any sense to you. unfortunately for you, you’ll find out the hard way.

Posted on November 11, 2012 at 4:13pmSo let’s examine the level of betrayal we see here!
Cantor knows about this Petraeus affair in October and keeps it under wraps other than to call Mueller’s office; and, most importantly, does or doesn’t tell Romney about the allegation? Did Cantor tell Romney? Was there a question that Romney could have asked Obama during the third debate? How about something like “Mr. President, we have sterling information directly from one of your intelligence services that one of the most powerful men in your administration is involved in an extramarital affair that may be compromising national security. Why has the DoJ not arrested this individual? Why have you not demanded his resignation?”
Yeah, I guess that those big donations that Cantor gets from the Muslim Brotherhood front groups might just influence his thinking at a crucial moment? You know, the same “unindicted co-conspirators” from the HLF terror trial who get dinner invitations to the White House.
Cantor, resign!
Sincerely,
A Fellow Virginian

If that “whistle-blower” informed Cantor’s office it was because the White House wanted to throw the ball to the Republican side in order to test their reaction and in case they broke the affair, accuse them of trying to destroy the reputation of a national hero, (Petraus). It didn’t work. Now the WH and Obama have serious questions to respond.
