In this Jan. 15, 2012 photo, Paula Broadwell, author of the David Petraeus biography “All In,” poses for photos in Charlotte, N.C. (Photo: AP)
(TheBlaze/AP) — A senior U.S. military official says the author who had an affair with David Petraeus sent harassing emails to a woman who was the State Department’s liaison to the military’s Joint Special Operations Command.
The official, who asked to remain anonymous, says 37-year-old Jill Kelley in Tampa, Fla., received the emails from Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell that triggered an FBI investigation.
Another person who knows Kelley and Petraeus confirmed their friendship, and said she saw him often. What exactly Broadwell said to Kelley in these “threatening” emails is still unknown.
Petraeus quit as CIA director last week after acknowledging an extramarital relationship with a woman, later identified as Broadwell. The FBI probe reportedly began several months ago when someone filed a complaint against Broadwell, and in an investigation of her email account, the affair with Petraeus was uncovered.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee, weighed in on the situation on Fox News this morning.
Like many others, host Chris Wallace wondered whether the “threatening” emails Broadwell sent may be indicative that Petraeus was having more than one affair, perhaps with Kelley in addition to Broadwell.
But Feinstein says she has no information to indicate that at the present time.
“I have not been told there was an affair [with Kelley]. What I’ve been told is that there was somebody else that he knew and was close to, and that Mrs. Broadwell sent these threatening emails to her, and she was frightened, and she went to the FBI,” she explained.
Feinstein concluded with a shake of the head: “I can’t believe it, but that’s what it is.”

Unfortunately, Petraeus’s loose willy gave the Chicago traitors cover to stomp down the truth about Benghazi. I will be shocked if Congress actually subpoenas Petraeus after this.
Anyway, Petraeus’s hands are dirty in the Benghazi murders as he previously testified before the House Intelligence Committee that the attack was in retaliation to the video knowing full well the real truth. He lied once to congress and I am sure he would have no problem doing it again.

Funny. I remember how back in the Bush years when MoveOn.org put out an ad calling him General Betray Us, they were called traitors. Oh, and the Dixie Chicks were practically lynched for calling Bush an a-hole, and yet it’s okay for Cons to openly accuse Obama of being a Marxist (who is somehow also a Fascist, even though Marxism and Fascism are two contradictory political belief systems), a Muslim, a Kenyan (or an Indonesian), a Manchurian candidate, a ni99er, and a “magic *****”. He’s been accused of masterminding everything from random shootings and a General cheating on his wife, to a hurricane and an earthquake–and the earthquake was his attempt to murder one of his daughters to get sympathy votes. The Arab Spring was a plan by Muslim extremists, labor unions, and Obama to somehow harm America (Ol’ “Lonesome Rhodes” Beck said that one). He’s been accused of conspiring with China to make defective parts for the F-22 so that he can killed U.S. airmen. What about the FEMA death camps that still haven’t materialized, but you freaks won’t stop talking about? His mother has been called a whore, and it’s been implied that she was into sex with dogs. For Jebus’s sake! But don’t call Bush an a-hole, or we’ll cry “TREASON!”. Riiight. I realize this went WAY off-topic, but the hypocrisy of the Right has really reached epic proportions.

Nov. 12, 2012 at 6:37amI done a bit of digging on that and there are a couple of things:
Firstly, the banking scandal is real. It is known as the LIBOR scandal, and investigation on that continues. The “43 trillion” does not match up to the figures that I have been looking at, however.
Secondly, the Spire law firm appears to be scamming homeowners. Mitchell J. Stein (of Spire) appears to be behind it and is being sued. He is not entitled to practice law in California. It seems that he is taking money from desperate homeowners to cover “expenses”, and promising them that they will get relief from their mortgage debts.
Thirdly, I can find no credible link at all between the “nanny” murders and this scandal. True, there are some questions about the murder itself, but there is no link to the banking scandal or the publishing of this story on CNBC.
Still, the LIBOR scandal is bad enough by itself…

Petraeus compare to our great Generals like; Patton, Taylor, Ridgeway, Grant or Sherman. Can anyone tell me what he has done to be included among our great Generals? His surge wasn’t a brilliant tactical maneuver, it was no more than a re-enforcement of the troops he already had on the ground. He takes credit for writing the Army’s COIN manual which was actually written in the late fifties and early sixties. He updated it to fit the war in Iraq.

Nov. 11, 2012 at 4:50pmThink like the CIA for a second. Petraeus, an extremely intelligent general, allows himself to get get nabbed having an affair? Really? Did we forget about Benghazi all at once?
I’ll submit my speculation on this deliberately staged event by the CIA:
1. The CIA recruited Chris Stevens as a SPY for the CIA to gather evidence to expose Obama’s weapons running Benghazi ‘Fast & Furious’.
2. Someone in the Obama administration found out, and assassinated Chris Stevens and the others to cover up the truth. The Muslim Movie was the cover story from the Obama side.
3. The CIA operation, being exposed to a small extent, had this “affair” cover story in place as a back-up to cover their asses as not to expose what THEY have in the works to (peacefully) oust the Obama administration. Petraeus is the CIA’s sacrificial lamb.
There’s deeper stuff going on that most of us serfs have any idea of.

While I agree there is more to this than meets the eye, your scenario is ridiculous.
More likely, Patraeus did have an affair because a younger woman wanted to crawl under the desk and give him a hummer. If you’ve seen his wife, you’d be a little sympathetic.
Once the White House found out, they loved the leverage this gave them over Patraeus and kept him in place. Once the White House refused extra security in advance of 9/11 and then withheld support during the attack in Benghazi, they threatened Patraeus to not go public on them.
If we’re lucky, Patraeus resigned in order to get out from under the threats and will testify honestly now that he is no longer working for Obama and the news of the affair is out.
Unfortunately, if looks like they are threatening him with prosecution now, to keep him quiet.
Stay tuned.

My idea is still that the original affair with PB was over, ended before he was sworn in at the CIA, and according to all reporting, it would have been known to all who investigated him prior to his taking his oath at the CIA. Had lunatic PB been in her right mind, and walked away with grace and dignity from the affair, all would have been fine.
Only because it resurfaced via the harassing emails, and apparently lots of emails passing between PB and Mr. P AFTER he became CIA Director, was this affair information revived and his judgment once again called into serious question.
He HAD to resign. The EFFECTS of the affair with PB had become far reaching and terribly dangerous.
I still say this has nothing to do with Benghazi whatsoever.
And the FBI that withheld the info, even from their reporting channels? PLEASE will someone get fired at least once in this country for being irresponsible and treasonous.
