Nov. 13, 2012 at 2:04pmI remember going to a job fair in Austin Texas after my career in the United States Military was completed. Employers pretty much told me the same thing. We can’t take a chance on hiring you for fear of you having PTSD and we have no use for individuals go scream and yell at co workers. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? These employers were just clueless and watched too many movies. I was shocked and saddened that Texans would treat war veterans this way. Unforgivable.

Nov. 13, 2012 at 11:26amIt doesn’t help that they are planning to force retired Veterans who live outside of 40 miles of a military medical facility to be dropped from Tricare Prime to Tricare Standard. Basically, it’s like having your current low-cost healthcare plan dropped to a more expensive one.
177,000 people affected.

Now we know where they are getting money to fund Obamacare…
It’s bad enough that the money taken from Medicare has forced people liky my MOM to be dropped by her doctor of 15+ years because Medicare doesn’t pay enough anymore. That doctor ended up performing a surgery on my mom for FREE out of the kindness of his own heart because of her being such a longstanding patient.
They really ARE trying to privatize the military’s pay/benefits/healthcare.
Long story short….military veterans, like myself, will STILL be paying more for our own healthcare than some P.O.S. that will be receiving FREE healthcare via Obamcare.
Remind me again WTF you’ve done to earn that “free” healthcare?
Yeah, STFU.

Nov. 12, 2012 at 11:25pm60K homeless. 18 veterans a day committing suicide (the last statistic I’ve seen). I don’t think a website is going to cut it. There are psychological issues here. Why are so many troops having trouble adjusting today compared to other generations? I’m of the opinion that they realize that once they get out that it was all for nothing. Sign up to fight for freedom and to protect the US and wind up fighting people that don’t pose a threat to us while our politicians are destroying freedom everyday. I also think the scripts they throw out veterans often do more harm than good. Seems they diagnose by seeing which meds, if any, work. Self medication and prosecution for it. I don’t know, but I don’t think there’s much effort in finding out what’s going on. Of course stopping the BS wars would be a good place to start.

Nov. 12, 2012 at 10:44pmGive them all their guns back, a bunch of big trucks to ride in, and point them toward D.C. Tell them to go talk to their senators.

Nov. 12, 2012 at 9:31pmThese folks have earned the right to go to the front of the line- if they have seen combat. However, the entire nation deserves jobs and an administration that creates them instead of destroys them by constant regultion orders. We need a different president and then we can get back to making this nation great.
