ABC Reporter to Jay Carney: Utterly Bizarre President Obama Learned of Petraeus Scandal Day After Election

During the daily White House press briefing on Tuesday, ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl told White House Press Secretary Jay Carney that it seems “utterly bizarre” that President Barack Obama and his administration first became aware of the David Petraeus scandal the day after the election.

“Jay, this investigation has been going on for months. How is it that the White House didn’t have any idea of this until the day after the election, and Congress a few days later,” Karl said.

“Well, I would refer you to the FBI,” Carney replied. “They have, as I understand it, protocols in place for when they notify the legislative and executive branches of investigations. And it’s simply a fact that the White House was not aware of the situation regarding General Petreaus until Wednesday and the situation regarding General Allen until Friday.”

“But you do you understand how people would find this utterly bizarre?” the reporter pressed. “The day after election? And the anger that you are hearing on Capitol Hill that this was going on…at least the timing, the appearance.”

At this, Carney reiterated that the White House didn’t know about the situation before the election.

Jay is just as guilty as the rest of these slimballs. He can stand there and propogate these lies and feels no remorse. At least George Stephenopolis had a shred of guilt during his time in the Clinton administration by virtue of developing physical consequences from standing at those press conferences. You could tell by the skin condition he developed; which led to him leaving that post. Incredibly, George still hangs with the democratic party; which I do not understand.

Jay on the otherhand, feels nothing. He has not a shred of remorse for these blatant lies.
