Report: Both Gen. Petraeus and Gen. Allen Intervened on Behalf of Jill Kelly’s ‘Unstable’ Sister in Custody Battle

NYPost: Petraeus and Allen Both Intervened in Jill Kelleys Sisters Custody Battle

In the most recent twist to the scandal that is rocking the highest levels of the U.S. government, the New York Post is reporting that both General Petraeus and General Allen intervened in the custody battle of Jill Kelley’s twin sister, Natalie Khawam.

For those who may have missed a step– or just tuned out of the news for a couple of hours– Jill Kelley is the woman who originally received “threatening” emails from General Petraeus’ reported mistress and biographer Paula Broadwell.

Kelley appears to have a certain talent for arousing strong emotions in people– it has now been reported that General Allen was also involved in “inappropriate communications” with the woman (though Allen denies any wrongdoing), and that she received shirtless photos from the FBI agent who originally launched the probe into Broadwell’s emails.

Now, the question is, why would two top generals get involved in a custody battle on the side of Kelley’s reportedly “unstable” twin sister?

The New York Post posted a story before 3am ET Tuesday morning:

While he was director of the CIA, Petraeus wrote a letter supporting the child-custody fight of the β€œpsychologically unstable” twin sister of his close friend Jill Kelley…sources told The Post.

The four-star general’s letter to the court β€” written in the past two months β€” supported a motion to overturn a ruling made nearly a year earlier by a judge who resoundingly denied custody to Kelley’s sister, Natalie Khawam, because of serious reservations about her honesty and mental stability, court records show.Β  [Emphasis added]

At around 10:45 ET the New York Post added far more to the story, including Petraeus’ actual statements, and more background on Khawam:

The father, Grayson Wolfe, was unable to see the child for more than a year, according to court documents. The judge overseeing the case cited Khawam with β€œoutrageous conduct,” β€œbad faith litigation tactics,” and β€œillogical thinking,” awarding full custody to the father and socking the mom with $350,000 in legal fees.

β€œMy wife and I have known Natalie for approximately three years, getting to know her while serving in Tampa, Florida, through our friendship with Dr. and Mrs. Scott Kelley,” Petraeus wrote in a letter introduced as part of a legal motion by Natalie Khawam’s lawyer.

β€œIt is clear to me that [child’s name] would benefit from much more time with his Mother and from removal of the burdensome restrictions imposed on her when she does get to spend time with him,” Petraeus wrote.

Petraeus said he had observed Natalie and her son, β€œincluding when we hosted them and the Kelley family for Christmas dinner this past year. In each case, we have seen a very loving relationship – a Mother working hard to provide her son enjoyable, educational and developmental experiences,” he wrote.Β  [Emphasis added]

The New York Post has more on Allen’s involvement in the case:

A separate letter from Allen is dated Sept. 22, two days after the Petraeus letter. β€œNatalie clearly loves [child’s name] and cherishes each and every opportunity she has to spend time with him. She is a dedicated mother,” Allen wrote. β€œIn light of Natalie’s maturity, integrity and steadfast commitment to raising her child, I humbly request your reconsideration of the existing mandated custody settlement,” Allen wrote. He said he got to observe the mother and child β€œat command social functions.”

He signed his letter: β€œGen. John R. Allen, General, United States Marine Corps,” on what appears to be official letterhead.

Allen’s letter does not mention any romantic relationship between himself and Kelley.Β  [Emphasis added]

It is, of course, possible that the judge grievously miscategorized Kelley’s sister, and the generals were simply attempting to see the mother reunited with her child.Β  However, the judge’s extreme actions indicate that there was likely something amiss with the mother– it is highly unusual for a father to receive full custody and a judge to cite the mother with “outrageous conduct” by mistake.

Twitchy captured a number of sarcastic comments on the most recent turn in what is rapidly beginning to appear more like a soap opera than the upper echelons of the U.S. government, one commenter writing “Next week on Days of Our Lives…” before a related article.

“Can’t believe this thing has an evil twin sister now. We’re hours away from learning Petraeus is Gen. Allen’s real father,” another added.

The fact that the situation is becoming so convoluted is, of course, troubling for those whose primary concern is what happened to the four dead Americans in Benghazi, and what information then-CIA Director General Petraeus can provide.

I have serious doubts that a dinner is enough time to know if someone is harming their child. Mental illness is nothing to mess with. If he isn’t careful he will have to live the rest of his life with ANOTHER pile of SHAME to bear. It really is best to let doctors decide these cases rather than people that no nothing about mental illness.

It’s really sad the intervention that the “conveniently placed” get from the “highly placed” when needed. Any other nut case would have lost her child and no one would have said a thing. A judge does not take custody away from the mother that has custody without a really good reason. It is very strange how these high ranking military men were constrained to intervene on behalf of a friend of a friend. A “social, party” friend at that. It reveals a woman with way too much influence. Also way too much partying going on!

Not that it isn’t interesting but how can the FBI disclose ANYTHING involving an ongoing investigation. Oh, I forgot, the FBI is controlled by Eric Holder and his Chicago herd. Makes you wonder if POTUS is caught extorting Petraeus to falsely testify before Congress, who will prosecute him? Holder? Let’s all hold our breath.

This sure makes a good lesson to the current military doesn’t it? When you add the 3 Star General from Africom who’s just been demoted to from 4 star for items concerning his wife and the message has to be clear to all military. “Watch what happens when you don’t play ball with us.”

Unfortunately DC has he ability to destroy lives. If it weren’t for that it would make a great soap opera.whos doing whom and for how much.In tomorrows episode Obama actually believes in the constitution and is actually defending it himself. All cast and crew members are currently played by themselves. There are no stand ins in this episode.Just to make it interesting the producers considered live fire.Since the regulations went into effect it seems non union workers can’t be used. Its against the unions rules laws to work with live munitions. So there you have it folks DC is playing itself.Tune in tommorrow to see if live fire exercises will be used by the producers.
This message brought to you by those who wishes DC were a soap opera they could cut off and on and not the destructive pack of dung it really is.Where there riduculous decisions are felt for decades to come going all the down the line to our great great grandchildren.

Like Charles Krauthammer said, now that there is sex involved they might really investigate it. This is a good thing for those who want to know the truth…even with all of the personal tragedy involved…I feel sorry for the child that is now exposed to media harrassment…as now everyone from Breitbart to the National Inquirer will want to dig up the dirt. We already know most of what we need to know about Benghazi, the fact that we were being lied to by the highest officials in our government was apparent from the outset. Unfortunately, national security secrets may be disclosed in the process and our international interests might be negatively impacted. That is the worst of this and it is the consequence of bad faith on the part of our leaders.

If this type of behavior is allowed at the top, then it will trickle down to the bottom.
      this quote says it all:

“Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature…. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation … it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”

I’m not sure the poster was familiar with that part of the militarys laws.Maybe even wondering if they both kept their mouth closed if anyone would have ever known.Maybe they thought that immunity could have been an issue.Somehow I think telling the truth to congress would be more compelling than a court martials for adultery. Then again my career isn’t on the line that way.I think its speaking volumes on what is most important though.I think they may be the posters true inferral

Yes, why actually continue to investigate Benghazi, when we can in effect participate first hand in the large national soap opera given to us to distract us. You can always count on the American public to display what appears to be a collective case of ADHD, every single time.

Meanwhile, human beings are dead and the President and his staff watched via life video feed, denied them help, and turned their backs, left the dead there to be desecrated, and then blamed the 1st Amendment.
