One week after the reelection of President Barack Obama, America appears as divided and politically polarized as ever. Within the beltway, Republicans and Democrats both claim to have the same hope to come together to deal with the fiscal cliff, but each side has given the same partisan policy proposals they have held since the debt crisis. Outside Washington, two separate “protests” have spontaneously broken out.
Some Americans unhappy with the president’s reelection have begun hanging upside down American flags over the last week, with such protests seen from Arizona to West Virginia to Florida. The controversial move is meant to show that America is in “distress”, but some are just saying that the protests show a lack of respect for the flag. Along with the flag protest, petitions have begun in 3o states calling for a peaceful secession from the United States. In Texas, the number of signatories has grown to nearly 80,000.
Considering the political tension and growing social unrest over the last week, what are we in store for over the next four years?
Some conservative leaders like Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal have been less pessimistic, calling this an opportunity for the GOP to broaden its mindset and reject anti-intellectualism, while embracing populist-tinged reform.
“We’ve got to make sure that we are not the party of big business, big banks, big Wall Street bailouts, big corporate loopholes, big anything,” Jindal told POLITICO in a story published Tuesday. “We cannot be, we must not be, the party that simply protects the rich so they get to keep their toys.”
After Tuesday’s loss, is the mindset among gloom and doom conservatives over the top? Or are these Americans right about the state of American politics and government? Watch a clip from ‘Real News’ Tuesday discussing these divergent reactions among conservatives one week after Obama’s reelection and whether America is truly now upside down:

Nov. 14, 2012 at 9:26amMy FLAG has been hanging upside down on my front door since the announcement was made that BO “won”. We are in distress as a nation, but God is still on the throne. I “righted” my flag in honor of vets day (My Dad and Bro were both Marines), and promptly reversed it again. Some people say I’m childish even though I am 63. It is just my silent way of protest. It is not against the law in MI. I am sad for my children that they will not know the decent America that my husband and I did. But, we have taught them well and they will endure.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 9:11am46M results: google: voter fraud 2012. No, it is not time to move on. It is time to prosecute those who violated election laws, especially those who programmed voting machines to cast every vote for Obama. This election is an insult to any intelligent person. Millions of Republican votes were disenfranchised. Obama should be ashamed to show his face.

Yeah, let’s just pack it all in, forget everything we were taught this country stands for and accept the inevitable that the bottom pillars of society know what’s best for the those that pay the bills in this country.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 8:04amDistracters who peddle misinformation now have a new topic! Instead of standing up for investigations and prosecutions of voter fraud, they seek to reap the benefits of headlines by offering condescending advice to constitutional conservatives.
Why are we beseeched with “reach-across-the aisle” banter? Who doesn’t want more supporters in the future? Of course we want to win in 2014. But the question is at what cost? Do we sell out by adopting values inconsistent with the basis of conservative thought?
Perhaps what we need to ask is why those GOP stars are advocating cooperation without mentioning voter fraud. Has it really become that difficult already for conservative journalists to resist the pressures of a second term of Obama? If so, then are they even journalists or just paid pens?

Nov. 14, 2012 at 9:49amI was watching last nite’s Real News segment and only Buck has any stones. All the others were giving us the old RINO song and dance about waking up the next day and moving on with our lives (as if none of us Constitutionalists did this).
I would like the talking heads that supposedly represent our views and values to understand us, first and foremost; and not call us “fringe” because we don’t accept Marxism being imposed on an unwitting American citizenry in a clandestine fashion.
Why is it that the talking heads on “our” side continually feel the need to be validated by their mainstream contemporaries and in doing so compromise the values of their base??? It offends the hell out of me because while I must accept the results of this past election, I don’t have to like it, and sure as hell don’t have to listen to a table full of candy-asses refer to me as “antiquated” because I prefer the rule of law and the Constitution.

It is going to be a long and ugly fight but the corruption at the voting booth must be confronted and corrected. Now is the time for everyone to press full-court and bring everything to a head once and for all.

Nov. 13, 2012 at 9:07pmWho are you trying to kid with this “politics as usual” nonsense? As we knew they would because of how hard they fought to change laws in the “swing” states, the sheer volume of voter fraud was overwhelming.
Since our entire election system has been shown to be nothing but a sham what is the point in pretending that things will change? Unfortunately I won several bets with friends that didn’t believe me when I told them that never in the history of the world has a communist voluntarily ceded power to a non-communist.
So what do you think will happen next time. If there is a next time?
Last Tuesday Obama and crew killed America.
The only remaining question is will the break up be friendly or another civil war? Once again, knowing communists, I’ll bet on the civil war.

We lost because hispanics (who are about to be betrayed) thought Obama would help them
We lost because Democrats “invented” a war on women that didn’t exist.
We lost because unions thought that BO is all for unions. They too will be betrayed. (business will see to that, the economy will see to that)
We lost because youth wants a gimme, hell, your entire party wants a gimme.

Nov. 13, 2012 at 11:14pmActually, we didn’t ‘lose’. Most Americans DO feel this way and DID show up to vote. We were sold out by the progressives. Period. Yes, Americans are stunned because every talking head is telling them that everything they knew, they saw and they felt was a figment of their imagination.
By the way, chet, in the words of your master, LET ME BE CLEAR, I have cried once, on the 7th. I cried for our founders and blood that was shed to bring about the first truly free nation ever. I cried because we were stupid and let them down, but then I shook it off.
Many of us KNEW this would come to be. I’m not whining, I don’t feel sorry for myself or strangely, for my children. This is the course we must now chart. Many of us have been preparing and at least know what happens next. Do you?
I love America, I love the founders and I will not let the American spirit die. I will shove IT down every and all progressives, R and D, collective throats as long as I breath air.
Get it? You didn’t WIN and election, you lost your freedom. The only problem is, chet, you don’t even realize it and sadly, you will walk blindly, yet creepily happily, up the ramp onto the train car….
I’m not mad, I have nothing to ‘get over’. I pity you.

You cried because you lost an election? Grow up, you big baby! It just isn’t that important. I voted for a moderate Democrat because I’m for freedom, and I don’t want any damn Republicans making abortion illegal. If he finally develops the cojones to end tax cuts for the rich that would be nice too, but the main thing is that he respects individual liberty and isn’t going to force the whole population to follow laws based on other people’s religious beliefs.

The public should be canvased for voting fraud. This election has too many voting machine reported errors to confirm the votes. I am calling for another election day ASAP. This election is an outrage and Congess does nothing!!!!!!!! States need to recall these elected officials ASAP.

Nov. 13, 2012 at 9:21pmI just don’t understand how voter fraud could happen here in Ohio. Our SoS is a Republican, maybe he is too wimpy, or has lost control. In MY county, which has historically, and typically, voted Democrat, was swept by Republicans. Republicans won every office in my county. If my county can do that, and what I heard about Democrat turnout was down from 2008, how does Zero take Ohio? If Republican voter turnout was what I heard it was, how did he win Ohio? Spigot cities? Voter fraud? Remember, we have a Republican Secretary of State. I don’t know what the vote count was in Northern Ohio, but from what I heard, Zero won big there. Huh? Democrat turnout was down from 2008? Ohio count won’t be official until Nov. 16th. I, also, don’t understand why Romney would concede before ALL votes were counted? Something does’t feel right.

Nov. 13, 2012 at 10:17pmYou must understand, this is NOT a DEM vs REP thing…This is a progressive vs American thing. All you have to do is turn on the tv or radio and all you will hear is how the republican party needs to move to the middle, not be racist, bow to amnesty–you name it they are trying to move the window-desperately.
And who are ‘they’? ‘They’ happen to be most of the ‘conservative’ pundits, gop electives and places like FOX.
All you have to do is listen to he disgust to which they talk about things like the tea party or libertarians or ‘far right conservatives’ now.
GOP co-opted as much as the tea party/conservatives as they could over the last 4yrs, but don’t be fooled. they are not just big government, but also dream of a new world order and a UN utopia–just like the left.
I think most of us who have been watching and waiting knew in our gut that they would not turn over any power last week and in order to do that, the GOP would have to help out. And yes, it was worth it to them to throw the election to gain the progressive dream–I can’t even stomach to know what those ‘backroom deals’ consisted of.
Last weeks media coverage–all sides–played like a north korean propaganda nightmare. Forcing us to swallow what we knew to be false.
Please know they want to drive a wedge, make us feel isolated, that a huge swath didn’t even care to show up, to drive us into the gop way of thinking. They want us to be weak, because we are strong. Last week was a LIE. RESEARC

Nov. 13, 2012 at 8:48pmSadly, Gloom and Doom is correct. It is getting scarier by the day b/c Obama & crew have predictably gone full steam ahead with their preplanned takeover. They’re now removing Generals that aren’t playing ball with them and/or not helpful – and replacing with “their” kind. I think this is what the Marxists do when they are doing their revolutionary takeovers, which is what I beleive has been and now is going on. I got this email from my son today:
“I heard today on a radio show that Patraus and many other generals getting fired or stepping down is because there was a group of military that wanted to start resisting and stand up to the corruption, Obama and CIA are clearing these people out so they can better control the military and to weaken it. Also to stop info about Libya and other operations from getting out. They have dirt on many of them to force them to resign or they just fire them for going against an order, or some allegation. The elite want to change the military to be mostly drones anyway, easier to control and more efficient. There are also a lot of mercenary forces now being used.”
I suggest a lot more repentance and prayer.

I’m not sure the “good” general is sitting around in sackcloth and ashes like David did when his sin was brought to light.
