Watch Live: Congressional Hearing on IRS Scandal
Live BlazeCast at 2pm ET: All the fireworks from the IRS Hearing!
Does This Photo Show Why Jill Kelley Thinks She Deserves Diplomatic Protection?
Yesterday TheBlaze reported that Jill Kelley, the mysterious Florida socialite who keeps cropping up in the Petraeus sex scandal, called 911 a number of times requesting “diplomatic protection” when supposedly unknown people tried to enter her property recently.
At the time, she was known to be an unpaid “social liaison” and “honorary ambassador” who often throws parties for men like General Petraeus.Β One U.S. official told ABC News she is a “nice, bored, rich socialite” who has a tendency to drop the word “honorary” from her title and describe herself as an actual ambassador, and many speculated this is what she meant when requesting “diplomatic protection.”
However, it is now being reported that Kelley is βalsoβ an “honorary consul” of South Korea.
“She assumed this position last August thanks to her good connections and network,” an official withΒ direct knowledge reportedly told Foreign Policy’s The Cable. Β
Remember all of those photos of Kelley walking to herΒ Mercedes S500 yesterday, wearing a garish pink or yellow outfit?Β Well, a photo of her license plate even says “honorary consul.”
Here’s a reminder:

Easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, but it certainly presents another interesting angle.Β Why was Kelley appointed an honorary consul of South Korea?
USA Today describes the post as “symbolic” and “with no official responsibilities,” but it’s still a pretty rare, unexpected title to have.
The official who commented for Foreign Policy contributed: “She does notΒ workΒ as a real consul. TheyΒ play a role toΒ improve the relationship between the [Republic of Korea] and the U.S…. Jill Kelley helped to get support for [the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement] and she arranged meetings betweenΒ the [Korean] AmbassadorΒ to Washington and local businessmen when the [Korean] AmbassadorΒ visited the Tampa area.”
It should be noted, however, that “honorary consuls” do not have the rights of permanent diplomatic staff, and therefore Kelley’s property is not entitled to the diplomatic protection she requested.
Curiouser and curiouser.

Posted on November 14, 2012 at 1:24pmGood thing they blocked out those letters. I won’t be able to recognize that silver benz with honorary plates without those two little letters… there must be millions of possible combinations of letters on diplomat plates attached to a silver benz with a middle age brunette driving! LOL

I’ve seen this car several times around town. The plates give it away. I didn’t recognize it until I saw the plates. I’m sure you can understand that “Honorary Consul” isn’t exactly a plate one sees often, so when you see it, it sticks out.
She’d better get those plates changed now, that’s for sure. Lol

I’m glad her husband isn’t my surgeon.
They’re $2 million in debt, and she still has the Benz?
What’s he driving? A Maybach?
As Honorary consul to S. Korea, why didn’t she drive a Hyundai?

Posted on November 14, 2012 at 4:08pmHow deep does the rabbit hole go? Just when you think it couldn’t get any more corrupt, something new comes out. If the press wasn’t mostly covering this up since September, they’d never get away with it.
Sure looks like someone told a couple of his associates that he wanted them to make a certain problem go away. Call in a few favors with some people very receptive to strong suggestions, and presto, the problem goes away, right? That sure is working out great, huh?

The military likes to name people honorary this or that, an “Honorary Ranger” or an “Honorary Red Leg”. Its just a way to say thank you for some service you have renedered. It is Obama’s way of pushing it out of the forefront of the American people’s mind. The further away it goes, the better for Obama. The MSM will assist in pushing it further out. Posted on November 14, 2012 at 12:23pmI’m telling you, this is only going to get worse and worse. The more data that comes out about this, the more likely that something huge, connected by way beyond Fast and Furious, Benghazi and Petraeus is going to come out. On to the order of multiple impeachable offenses by the President and prosecutable offenses by his advisors and other appointed members of his Administration, elected officials in the House and Senate and, probably even, government contractors and lobbyists. The other shoe will drop before the end of the year, making the scandals we do know about look like minor traffic violations. I’d bet money on it.

Ask yourself if anyone in the House will have the balls to impeach him and even if it does pass in the House, good old Harry Reid won’t bring this up in the Senate…..nothing will come of this.
Actually I am wrong, this will only imbolden Obama because he knows that he can steal an election and do whatever he wants without any fear…..
