Glenn Beck responded to the wave of post-election secession petitions (which have now hit all 50 states) during both his radio and television programs Tuesday, relaying a simple message to his audience: taking part isn’t smart.
“Now how do you think that’s going to work out?” Beck asked on his radio show. “I mean, how dumb do you have to be? Really? You’re putting your name on a list that goes directly to the White House, and you’re putting your name on a list and saying, ‘yeah I think we should secede, I think there should be a Civil War.’”
When co-host Stu Burguiere pointed out that the petitions request a “peaceful” secession, adding that it really is just a place to “make a statement,” Beck appeared unconvinced.
“Uh huh…[And] do you think that these people don’t forget who made a statement to them? Are you out of your mind?”
Beck continued to say that many of the signatories are probably thinking something along the lines of, “They voted for this, let ‘em have it!”
“Instead of focusing on, ‘I’m not doing anything with you guys,’ just focus on the positive,” Beck countered. “What are you going to do? Anyone who wants to secede, that issue’s been settled. Now I don’t happen to agree with it, because I don’t understand how the Constitution could be a suicide pact…that’s what the Civil War settled.”
Here is video from Beck’s radio show:
On his television program later that day, Beck continued to explore the role of the Declaration of Independence in modern-day secession petitions, and how the petitions could justify tighter control by the federal government.
“This is exactly the kind of fuel the president will use to order measures to ‘protect’ the Republic. And he’ll have the Department of Homeland Security at his disposal to enforce them.”
Noting that President Obama signed his 141st executive order expanding the “partnership” between the Department of Homeland Security and local police, Beck said that when the federal government gets involved, local police almost always take a back seat. Moreover, reports of the Social Security Administration buying 174,000 hollow-point bullets suddenly become much more troubling.
“If the government begins arming itself against the citizens at the federal level, and say ‘by the way, we’re your new state police,’ that would indeed be the point in the course of human events where it becomes necessary to dissolve political bands,” Beck said, concluding with a passage from the Declaration of Independence.
But, Beck said, “secession is not an option,” and so it is up to you to contact your governor, find out what your kids are learning, and change the media. Because the next step isn’t going to be easy.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:18amA State can actually do quite a bit to nullify the federal government. Pass laws saying no state or local resources can be applied to enforce federal regulations. No extra police help, no utilization of detention facilities, no use of courts or other civil services. Seize with eminent domain all federally held land, and either turn them into protected State owned land, or sell them off. I believe Nevada or Utah did that or threatened to to that to lease the land to energy companies.

Each county collects a ten% percent sells tax. The county keeps 90% it collects and gives 10% to the State.
The State then keeps 90% of what is given by the counties and then gives 10% to the Federal.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:53amSorry, lost cause. NH doesn’t have the resources to be anything but a self-imposed Libertarian prison colony.
Stalin, Mao and all the other brutal dictators knew exactly where power comes from: violence or the threat thereof. There is no other option.
The Declaration of Independence speaks highly about the consent of the goverened but at the end of the day, it was violence that resolved the question with the British government.
The Civil War ended states rights to determine their own destiny, and violence again resolved the question.
It will take several states in a serious threat of Civil War take II to resolve Communism, Socialsim, Marxism vs. Free Market Representative Democracy. That will not happen until enough folks get totally ticked at having their money and livelyhoods taken from them that they will rebel and not work for the leftist overlords.
Use Mr. Beck’s approach if you like, the odds of it working are even less than Mitt Romney’s winning a Presidential election using an honest, fair and gentlmanly campaign.
Let the taxes come, we will all pay them, and when it no longer make sense for us to work just to pay the taxes, stop working and go on the dole. We all know where that ends.
Violence will resolve the issue again.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 12:01pmSecession of States or an armed violent uprising would only result in the destruction of the Union. They are not the answer to stop America’s slide into the failures of Socialism.
It is time for The People and The States to engage in a Civil Cold War to fight the Unconstitutional, tyrannical powers of taxation, regulation, and control, being dictated from the Federal Government.
We must use the Constitution and the States Rights in this Civil Cold War.
Arizona’s fight with the Federal Government over illegal Immigration is a great example of the Civil Cold War that must be fought peacefully.
Draw strength and conviction from our Constitution in this Civil Cold War.
Article 4 – The States
Section 4 – Republican Government
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
Amendment 10 – Powers of the States and People “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Nov. 14, 2012 at 12:22pmYou cannot have a “Civil Cold War” as there is no guarantee of Mutully Assured Destruction. MAD allowed the Cold War to happen, nothing else. The Cold War was a bunch of proxy conflicts to generate ideological advancement. The Cold War ended when Ronald Regan put serious money into a Missle Defense system and called the Soviet Union’s bluff. They couldn’t match the technology and folded while trying. We now have a functioning Missile Defense system. We are now giving it to them for nearly nothing in return.
I am not advocating violence at all. I’m just saying it’s inevitable if we continue down this path. The only way to stop it is to call the liberal bluff, will they use military force against their own population to stop the uprisings (of all kinds) of states unwilling to bow to federal overreach.
There must be a real threat power to make it work in either direction. We are now on a serious path, and if the current President chooses to ignore, go around, and ‘get his way’ the same way he did in the first four years, there must be a reckoning. Sure, it could be peaceful at the next election but I doubt it, too much free stuff wil be had at the expense of too few. It will be a shoo-in for the next person promising a chicken in every pot. I can’t see it turning around without threat of force, I hope I’m wrong, I hope Beck and Co. is right.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 12:29pmFriends, There is a mighty question before us, and we understand that answers must quickly come or all hope for the vision of our founding fathers is lost. The fundamental question is; do we ignore the enemy or engage it? We can withdraw into the comfort of our like-minded fellows, hoping that the ever-growing federal travesty will stay outside our city, our neighborhood, our house. States can try to become separate lands but the enemies of America, foreign and domestic know that to conquer, you first divide. We would leave ourselves weak and conflicted with an enemy ready to pounce. No. We have withdrawn long enough. We have given too much to the enemy already. We must engage this enemy now on every level or let our children and grandchildren face a stronger more organized evil in the near future. The time to throw off comfort is now. The time to discipline your body and mind for war is now. I implore each of you to prepare yourselves for a time of great trial because it is coming regardless of the path this nation takes. Ironically we must take the path of one Barry Sorrento if we hope to be successful. We must become community organizers. You must ready your families, your co-workers and your neighbors and be prepared do die to defend them when they are under attack. A thousand lone wolves will never save this country. We must organize and resist. Join the PTA today en mass. Arm yourselves and educate the masses. May God guide us and be with you all.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 3:21pmGlenn, you used a fallacious and absurd argument. NO war ever settles anything forever. It only settles the conflict of that period in history that could not be resolved peacefully, case in point, after WWI there was a WWII. And the Bible you read foretells a WWIII. So stop the nonsense, Glenn. Your religion forbids fighting against a tyrant, and it is your right to follow your conscience. Jesus will fight the only battle that will settle things forever.
The question is, Are we willing to die for liberty or not? It may be too late, but was a Resistance in occupied countries during WWII, and you WERE right about one thing, Glenn, this is now an occupied country.
I do agree with Glenn that signing petitions is a waste of time. As someone said here, patriots must band together, not as commie organizers a la the Traitor, but as militias. We need to create a Resistance and PRAY. I am serious about the second part, because if you think we can take our country back without God’s help you are delusional. No country will come to our aid. We MUST rely on God. Those who can’t fight, must take the burden of bombarding heaven 24/7 with their prayers.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 3:35pmYou guys can talk election fraud all you want, but it is a symptom, not a source. When people started to elect individuals that valued power over ethics and freedom, THAT was the cause of our downfall, and it is part and parcel of all political parties now.
Sign all the ‘requests’ for seccession you guys want, it’s all meaningless. If they ever start ‘disappering’ people in the middle of the night, you can bet the 200 million guns in this country will be locked and loaded to stop it the next day. Glenn and Co. are trying to calm everyone down and reorganize back to cohesion. He’s not leaving anyone behind, just trying to herd some cats and it’s not easy. I get that.
My point is, if you are calm, rational and can see the writing on the wall for yourself, you know you need to continue to prepare, but you also know that whatever ‘nice’ way you try to change things from here forward will likely not work. Stolen or not, this is the first election where a clear and obvious choice went the wrong way, contrary to all past elections, nothing is ‘normal’ in this election at all.
It’s a symptom of what conservatives have been fighting against for decades. Now it’s here. Do we fight nicely now? Do we pull back, let it collapse, then take it back? Do we become super advocates and take the fight with words and ideas to the streets?
Glenn & Co. like the last option, some are advocating the other two. Conservatives are at a crossroads and rather than pick

Yes I’m sure that will work. Petition a dictator for freedom. Obama would put a Lincoln-like smack down on any state who seriously tried to secede. He might even become more tyrannical than Lincoln was.
I agree that it is moronic to sign one of these useless petitions. Your name will go straight onto a TSA no-fly list. At some point in the future you will not be allowed to purchase a firearm. You are basically signing up as a volunteer for a future NDAA-authorized detention/extermination order.

He also points out another intersting topic, Execuive Orders. It is interesing how each one of the Bill of Rights, which by the way was added to ensure state rights, now has an Executive Order that trumps the Amendment in the Bill of Rights. Do some research on this, it is very interesting.

Nov. 15, 2012 at 12:08amFederal Law supersedes State law, Obamacare is Federal Law, Federal taxes are federal law. Nice idea and better than nothing but secession is the only real solution. We have to make it impossible for the federal government to continue viewing large segments of the population as piggy banks rather than citizens and feeling free to help themselves to as much of the money the piggy bank has as they need to buy votes. There are not enough piggy banks to stop the legal theft of their money by the Federal Government. If a state or two manages to put secession on the ballot then the politicians may realize that the piggy banks may just leave and move someplace they cant reach unless they stop the out of control spending. The only other way to get their attention is old fashioned tea party type tax revolt, but that is definitely illegal and will have consequences. Sending the message that we are serious about secession IF the Federal Government doesn’t get its hands out of our pockets and out of our children pockets is the only way at this point to bring about true reform.

Nov. 15, 2012 at 3:49amIf you want secession, you will have to have people run for congress that run on the idea of passing a constitutional amendment allowing secession. Right now it can’t happen, but if you get enough congressional members elected that will pass such and amendment, then these states can secede. It’s going to happen anyway someday in the Southwest when all the Hispanics vote to secede New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California back to Mexico. That’s what those folks have planned. I think it’s a good idea to let the East Coast and West Coast do their thing and let the rest of the US do our own thing.

Statism will not save communism, nor will any hybrid of the leftist governments combined with a pseudo form of Capitalism. You cannot bridle capitalism with socialist trappings and have it work. A quick read of that ancient capitalist tomb “Wealth of Nations” will clear up that concept. China is collapsing as we type because it is finding out, you cannot have a super wealthy class live on the backs of a vastly impoverished class. The French along with bunches of other nations had revolutions on the concept, ironically, China was in that bunch… go figure.
Obama doesn’t own us or control us through Obamacare. He barely will have any control over the monster he’s created. It’s more like Frankenstein, it will ravage the country and stomp lots of stuff flat, scare the heck out of all of us and then fall apart under it’s own weight along the seams it’s been sewed together on.
What I am talking about is when the President actually starts taking away real rights because his class warfare rehtoric has gotten out of control. It will start with higher taxes, then when the wealthy try to move their assets out of the country (or themselves) he will require they pay some massive ‘exit tax’ or confiscate their possessions so they can’t leave (don’t laugh, California has had several versions of bills presented that do just that to businesses trying to leave). At that point, he becomes a tyrant. One could claim FDR was one as well.

Nov. 15, 2012 at 6:13pmI have mixed feelings about how strong Glen Becks patriotism is. To say if Americans sign a petition to secede they are stupid? This is the same guy who said we need to stand strong and not waiver. I believe that Obama will never get it but those who have careers in politics do. If Obama sends his form of Gestapo around to harass or even arrest those who have signed will wake up to the other side of a peaceful secession. Obama has done this to our country. We need to do all we can to solve the corrupt elections and not roll over and say” don’t lick your wounds and get over it” or ” don’t make waves or Obama will get you” so just “stay strong “. All the cliches won’t do anything. Glenn Beck needs to grow some spine and stick up for his beliefs and the rights of States to do exactly what they feel is necessary. As of yesterday almost 700,000 people signed. Obama going to threaten or arrest them all? Even if he did a few it would stoke the flames of freedom like it hasn’t been seen since the Revolution.

Nov. 16, 2012 at 12:40amThat’s it folks. No secession. The civil war settled that. So, just go tear up your Declaration of Independence, cuz Glenn said so. Forget about being a free people. And then he says:
“I mean, how dumb do you have to be? Really? You’re putting your name on a list that goes directly to the White House, and you’re putting your name on a list and saying, ‘yeah I think we should secede, I think there should be a Civil War.’”
First of all, no one has said anything about a civil war. I think the term ‘peacefully’ settles that.
Second of all, he sez if you do sign a petition they’ll come and take you away. I guess we already live under a totalitarian, unconstitutional government. So, Glenn sez just wait until the federals got their guns and have taken over, and THEN do something.
Uh, won’t it be too late by then?

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:18amI seems that people are focusing on asking permission to secede or focusing on secession being constitutional.
WE DID NOT HAVE THE LEGAL AUTHORITY TO DECLARE INDEPENDENCE FROM BRITAIN.
Are founders just did it. They said enough is enough. They declared that they would not obey the law of the King and would be independent.
Although we are taught that a huge majority of the citizens agreed on independence this is not so. There was much opposition and many loyalists chose to side with the King.
We just need a significant number to refuse to lie down and take it any longer. Sure there will be opposition but that didn’t stop our founders. And we are the beneficiaries of their courage.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:35amI have to confess, I signed on to the petitions, silly as it seems now. Thank you impulsiveness for painting a target right on my forehead! I do wish I’d given it more thought first. In any case, I don’t think it’s likely that the admin will do anything about these petitions, there are already rumors that the president has no intention to even acknowledge the petitions publicly, and that, with their usual disdain, they are simply going to ignore the constituency, touting the line that the election proves Mr. O has a mandate from the people. The fact is, signing the petitions has more of a symbolic value. Peaceful protest. I suppose if they start hauling those of us who signed it off, perhaps the rest of the country would wake up and realize things are worse than they want to acknowledge. Of course, there are the counter petitions demanding the fedgov strip the signors of the secession petitions of their citizenship and deport them, so maybe the rest of the country would just throw the anecdotal party naughty kids often do when those bummer, drag-me-down grown-ups leave the house. In any case, I realize I am more than ever before on a “list”, but also that very little is likely to come of it.

In case anyone wonders why none of the Confederate leaders were ever tried in a court of law — the Federal government was afraid that secession would be found legal, thus making illegal the war that claimed the lives of roughly 620,000 out of the combined populations of the US and CSA of about 30,000,000. That would put its own leaders in extremely deep doo doo. To the best of my knowledge no legislation was ever subsequently passed to bar secession.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 1:47pmYes the cops in Texas are way out of control. They will take your blood by force on the road if they think you’ve been drinking. Oversize police forces writing tickets to the people that can afford to pay and letting crime go un-checked in the bad parts of town.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 3:00pmAgree with mil-dot and hussein, I lived in San Angelo (well, was stationed there for a while). Texas has it’s good points, but if anybody thinks they are small government, small town and easy going from a cop/government perspective, they’re kidding themselves.
To Glenn, Texas is a heaven because he came from New York City. Stalingrad in 1956 would look more free than NYC on any given day. Texas severely restricts firearms rights (try to open carry there like a “cowboy”, I dare you). They have a very strong social stigma present for anybody that doesn’t fit in (libertarians generally are very uncomfortable there, ask me, I’m a libertarian) and if you cross any social mores (don’t go to church enough, belong to the *wrong* church for your community, etc) you might as well resign yourself to hermitude.
Sorry, Wyoming for me. Between my experiences with both, Wyoming is almost America in 1880, and the people are very pleasant nice and leave you alone to live as you please without putting you on “do not talk to” lists. Plus you can open carry, and conceal carry, no license required there. :) Oh, and taxes are much lower.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 7:02pmI’m willing to move anywhere if thats what it takes, but when you are talking about forming a country you have to look at certain things from an infrastructure perspective. Wyoming is a gorgeous state. Unfortunately you don’t have robust infrastructure, access to ports, numerous airports and railways. Not only that the size of Texas is a huge plus. The state could absorb 10′s of millions moving there, albeit in an organized way over a period of time. You have to account for the influx of likeminded people from all over clamoring to get in. As far as the illegal immigration problem goes. Does anyone think a bunch of illegals would stick around in a liberty minded conservative society. There would be a mass exodus back to Mexico and into the “old county”.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:52amThe comment that I wish to make is this: the Texas secession petition may be considered in a different light than those from the other states due to the way the Republic of Texas joined the Union. Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:03amThe only special privilege attendant upon Texas admission to statehood in 1845 was the right to divide itself into up to five new states if it so chose. It has no more legal right to secede than any other state. Many Texans are so attached to “Texas exceptionalism” that they believe it does, but it’s a myth.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:22amHere’s a quick summary of the Texas Constitution. It was far better when we were a Republic than after when all the politicians mucked it up. It we could join. I suppose we could just leave. All we have to do is pay back what we as a state owe the Feds and with all the military bases being cleared out, all military personnel would be free to decide which side they want to stand with. Even though I believe possession is 9/10 of the law, I don’t know if we could keep all military fire power. I don’t think the forefathers would want us to put up with the dismanting of our union and not be willing to set a precedent for freedom. Plenty of awful precedents have already occurred in just the last four years. It time to consider another way.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:33am@FOXHOLEATHEIST is probably correct in the brave new world of fascism when he says that ‘no state has the right to SUCCEED’ It will be very tough for any state to succeed with all the mandates that the federal gov’t is heaping on them. That is the best reason to secede, and a peaceful secession from the union would clearly make Texas the 15th largest economy in the world. A free Texas would grow so rapidly and become so prosperous that we would undoubtedly move up the list.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:44amIf the government enacted by the People becomes destructive, we the People have the right, some say duty (I’m in that camp), to abolish that government and start anew. As for the right to secession, that may not exist, but we are not talking about rights. Those come from the Creator, we are talking about withdrawing from a compact made voluntarily, the creation of which (Federal government) is not acting within its bounds, and no member of that compact enforcing the provisions of that compact. Who would want to stay in a business relationship like that? Either secession or nullification.

The answer is no .. so what’s the problem .. We ask for it .. if they say no .. we do it anyway …
If they send the goons or military … we fight .. You think it’s hard to tell if a Taliban ********** is the enemy or just a citizen, wait until they try and figure out who of us is an enemy .. let alone the military having second thoughts of mowing down their own. Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:14am“Their policies will contribute to enough pain for everyone even the greedy 47% will dwindle by mid-terms…”
This logic is laughable. So, let me get this straight… You think the 47% will tire of the policies that give them free stuff and see the light and vote for conservatives? Even if Santa Clause Obama doesn’t give the all they want, the next progressive democrat in line will promise them more. We’ll just tax the rich more.
Truth be told, the problem is NOT liberals. The problem is we no longer have a nation of 50 States that are free to make up their own mind about things. Instead, everything is dictated to us from Washington. We should have 50 labs going. If Vermont wants to be liberal. Let them. If Texas wants to let people open cary, let them. That’s the way things are supposed to be.
Secession may not be the answer, but it is one of only two viable option. The only other is to have an Article V convention and make sure the following amendments are added:
1. Repeal of the 16th and 17th Amendments.
2. Balanced Budget Amendment.
3. Term Limits for Congress.
4. Elimination of the Federal Reserve system.
Fix those 4 things and the ship rights itself very quickly. All you folks talking about 2014 and 2016 are just suffering from wishful thinking. There might be “elections”, but can we trust them? Do you actually trust the results of the one we just had? More has to be done. And it has to be done quicker than 2014 or 2016.

Elections are bogus; see 2012 and voting in a congress that is likely to is a pipedream – so how exactly do you expect that an Article V convention is going to get called
Amendments may be proposed by either :
two-thirds of both houses of the United States Congress ; or
by a national convention assembled at the request of the legislatures of at least two-thirds of the states.
To become part of the Constitution, amendments must then be ratified either by approval of :
the legislatures of three-fourths of the states ; or
state ratifying conventions held in three-fourths of the states.
Congress has discretion as to which method of ratification should be used.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:48amThe government has been prepping for something against us for a long time. Secession petitions make little difference to them. It’s all happening right in front of us. They know pushback will come from a rebellious few, just like King George thought we were a bunch of upstarts. A signature may bring trouble for those signing, but trouble is already here. The wisest thing about the American Revolution was that those rebellious and brave few founded like minded groups in secret for as long as possible. Not many wanted to be turned in by their neighbors as traitors to the crown. I’m sad to say in our time it won’t be long before Hussein offers compensation to Americans willing to turn in their neighbor for not buying health insurance or keeping their Romney/Ryan sign up in their garage. Or flying their American flag upside down expressing the distress the nation is in.
Only 30 percent of the populace wanted freedom from King George. Beck needs to remember that. I had hoped some Texan had rubbed off on him, but I think this election has him a little freaked out and he’s trying to backtrack. Too late Glenn, we can only go “Forward” like the Prez says and trying changing the elitist Obama loving liberal media is a waste of time and energy. Secession is a last resort, but may be the only one left when the American dollar collapses.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 3:11pm2012 is the first person I read who is on target here. The Communist agenda starting with with Woodrow Wilson (if not earlier) has a 100 year head start on us. Of the people who have started to “see” where our government has headed are just babies in this chess game. The government is 10 moves ahead of us. (Remember they had a 2700 page health care bill ready to sign in one day.) Just like in chess, you don’t knee jerk to a piece being taken as it could be there to bait you giving the opponent a bigger win later in the game. The charlatan won the election (as planned) and we are all knee-jerking here with secession. Think about it. I for one am not sure what the correct approach is other than trust in God because all the other ones stink. Clearly..the media did it’s job very well and it wasn’t. They’re angry, they’re hurting..just like liberals were in 2004 when Kerry lost. In 2004 they had a complicit media doing the complaining for them but conservatives and libertarians dont’ have that balm for their wounds…they only have their own voices and they’re screaming at the country right now..”what the hell were you thinking?”.
Mr Beck..let them vent it’s carthatic and necessary to begin refocusing on the important things.
Besides…the Benghazi situation is boiling over with Petraeus now dominating the news and he’s going to testify before congress and he no longer has his job on the line…can you say..impeachment? Never interrupt your enemy while he’s making a mistake.

If he sweeps up all these people and has them executed or stripped of their citizenship w/o due process or more; then we fall into a tyranny and we do not do a civil war: we start the second great revolution against a domestic tyrant.

Secession is never a matter of permission from the place you wish to secede from. They have no say, and no legalities apply.
As to “fighting”, folks keep forgetting that most nuclear silos are way out in Montana, Wyoming and other states most of us are talking about going to. Just sayin’.

No they won’t. The best way to temper an angry movement is to not lend them credence. Locking up thousands would 1) draw attention to the actions immediate and 2) start a real civil war because frankly, will you sit and wait for them to show up while hearing about tens to hundreds of thousands being rounded up for peaceful dissent?
Any man with arms, that lays them down peacefully and allows himself to be taken to prison for peaceful freedom of speech, especially given the NDAA that Der Leader Obama shoved through, is a fool.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:35ami hope they can secede, they will probably be better off for it and if there doing economically well from it, people are going to move there in swarms. Glenn Beck is a statist nutjob, making money by telling lies.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 1:26pmIndiv,
Yep, Beck is a scardy-cat. He is making a good living off all this crap. He talks a good game but when the chips are down, he folds like a cheap lawn chair. When the SHTF, there will be many that side with the goons and many that side with the patriots. It will eventually delineate along racial lines. The white-guilt progs will find out what the minorities really think of them eventually. I wish I could only see the look on their faces when it happens.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 3:39pmYallComeBack: They already have it, and know how often you visit each site you visit ,how many emails you receive from sites like TheBlaze. You’re ISP has to record it – Google and MOST search engines record it. If you use the privacy and filtering software to mask your IP a flag goes up and you are considered suspicious. Signing that petition didn’t tell ‘em anything they don’t already have. “Google” it if you don’t beleive me. It’s not paranoia. It’s part of new internet laws – your ISP has to keep a record of where you visit. I think it’s for at least two years. Reserved words or “trigger” words in emails are flagged for further review for terrorism. A lot of my emails are pro-life in nature. I’m already on their list.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 10:37amYour Logic is sound, Glenn. But you’re idadvertantly telling the dissenters “Keep quiet. They’ll know who you are and make your life reall really tough”. SO I pose the queswtion to you: at what point do the people take their last stand to defend liberty and the Constitution? At what point do the people say “I pledge my Life, my Fortune, and my Sacred Honour”?

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:01amDon’t we all know seccession is not going to happen! But don’t we also know that all 675,000 think that this the only way we think that we can at least feel like we have a voice. When you vote they forget all about you when they get there. Pretty Sad! You tell us to take a stand and when we do you tell us to backdown. I feel for my chidren and grandchildren, THIS IS NOT THE SAME COUNTRY I GREW UP IN. This debt will destroy us

No he is not telling them to keep quiet. He is telling them that we need to now strengthen the states one by one to be ready for what is to come in the economic collapse. The state must survive as the Fed’s will try to grab power then; IF a tyranny arises and turns on the people with violence, then we will have a revolution on our hands against Obama – not a civil war.

Nov. 14, 2012 at 11:55amThis is not about being quiet, but remaining anonymous. The tipping point will be when martial law and the suspension of elections at the State and Federal levels are implemented…when overt political opposition no longer has a foothold…when Posse Comitatus is suspended to ensure your compliance…when you have the means to resist openly and can sustain the effort.
