John McCain Hits Back at Obama’s Criticism: The White House Has ‘Either Been Guilty of Colossal Incompetence or Engaged in a Cover-Up’

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) hit back Wednesday at President Barack Obama’s criticism of him and his Republican colleagues, declaring that Obama “must be held responsible” for the Sept. 11 terror attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

“I understand today that the president of the United States took some umbrage at statements that Senator Ayotte, Senator Graham and I made concerning this issue,” McCain said on the Senate floor.

The three said earlier Wednesday they were calling for a special committee to investigate what happened in Libya and ripped U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as an unacceptable possible replacement for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over her initial comments calling the attacks a response to an anti-Islam video. Obama told reporters during a news conference Wednesday that “when they go after the U.N. ambassador…then they’ve got a problem with me.”

“We believe whoever it is must be held responsible, I say to the president of the United States — most importantly, the president of the United States who is commander in chief, who so far in my view has not exercised those responsibilities and also not informed the American people of the facts,” McCain said. “This president and this administration has either been guilty of colossal incompetence or engaged in a cover-up, neither of which are acceptable to the American people.”

    Obama and his lackeys are are delaying this as long as possible until they can come up with some scapegoats to take the fall for this mess. I’m sure they tried to pin it on Petraeus, but he resisted, resulting in his having to resign his post. I, like many others here KNOW what this president and his administration represent and we want rid of it, but I seriously doubt this will do the trick. But keep trying. At least it will keep us occupied until obama’s homeland security forces invade our neighborhoods and eliminate all the rebel rousers.

      Obama thinks he has some super mandate to rule the USA now that he won the election. He is going to dodge, lie, misconstrue, obfuscate, misdirect, blame and cover-up on Libya till the day he leaves office. It will be up to republicans in Congress to take this guy down. Does anyone up there have the b*lls to DO IT? Obama has no mandate to rule and he better understand that:

      Cause that sounds like Obama. Starting useless wars and acting all shady. No transparency at all like when we had Bush. Boy when we had Bush we knew about everything that went on in the White House and started two very important wars in the right countries.
      Go Bush for 2016 right? You people are miss informed and easily swayed and controlled like puppets. Try thinking for yourself. You might have to wipe the dust off first.

      @Garbage

      Good grief….you have GOT to get off this “Blame Bush” stuff! You did not like Bush, I GET THAT! Bush is GONE! He’s NOT COMING BACK! The Bush Admin is HISTORY. Its DONE, OVER, KAPUT!

      Why don’t you put your efforts into analyzing what is CURRENTLY relevant? Obama is just as (if not more) opaque then Bush was. That is the issue that faces us TODAY! My goodness, if I dwelled on the past like you do, I would still be pissed off at my ex-wife. But guess what, my ex-wife is just that, she’s an EX, she’s GONE, she’s NOT coming back! So why should I be dwelling on something that is no longer relevant???

      I’m a software consultant….I have been at clients that have had other consutling companies come in and screw up a project. Do those client’s continuously blame the the old consulting staff that screwed up the project? NO, they don’t, they just want to get things back on track, and don’t dwell on the past screw ups.

      In the case of our current Administration however, you can make a case that the last administration, Bush, screwed it up; OK, I don’t have a problem with that. But in this case, the new Administration (Obama), continues to SCREW UP THE PROJECT.

      Get with the program bonehead, because you can’t change what has already happened.

      Where were ANY of the GOP–including Romney–before the election? They gave ODUMBER a TOTAL PASS on the Benghazi issue–even during the debates! I never understood why. Snce the MSM REFUSED to air the story or ask any questions, it would have been NICE if the GOP had sense enough to raise the subject so that those who only watch the MSM might at LEAST have become aware of it. But noooo — they gave him a pass and did not even ASK.

      I’ve been wondering since ODUMBER’s FIRST term why Congress did not even TRY to rein him in–even when he was usurping their own Congressional powers as enumerated by the Constitution. You are probably right — the Chicago Thug machine that has taken over our government probably has a blackmail file on every member of Congress who is not already in their pocket like those morons Reid and Pelosi. Now that the GOP kept control of the house and the Queen of the Moonbats knows she won’t be Speaker of the House again, she is thinking of retiring.
