Obama: No Evidence ‘From What I’ve Seen’ That Petraeus Scandal Hurt National Security

President Barack Obama said Wednesday he was not aware of any breach of national security stemming from the scandal involving former CIA Director David Petraeus and top military commander in Afghanistan Gen. John Allen.

“I have no evidence at this point from what I’ve seen that classified information was disclosed that in any way would have an impact on our national security,” Obama told reporters in his first post-election news conference.

Obama also said he was “withholding judgement” about whether he should have known sooner that Petraeus was involved in an FBI investigation.

“I am withholding judgment with respect to how the entire process surrounding General Petraeus came up,” Obama said. “We don’t have all the information yet but I want to say that I have a lot of confidence generally in the FBI and they have a difficult job…it is also possible that had we been told then you’d be sitting here asking about why we were interfering in a criminal investigation.”

For once I agree with Obama. Barack can only view the world through the filter of his self-centeredness. So, yes, when Obama looks at Petreaus in comparison to himself General Petter is not a threat. But, Obama is the worst threat to the USA since the adoption of the Constitution.

Why does anyone ever ask this SOB a question? He will ALWAYS lie. We Americans are a joke to him, we really are. I can’t beleive we can’t impeach him by now! When the hell is he gonna even go after the guys that murderd our men??? The writing is on the wall people, he is a Muslim and with them! People just can’t get their head around the fact that we put our actual enemy in the White House. We will be shocked one day at the things he is doing to our country behind closed doors. Someone will have to come forward when he is out of office. HE belongs in GITMO with his damn brothers!

For almost a month Obama did know 4 Americans were massacred in a terrorist attack yet he readily proclaims the man he blackmailed to take the fall didn’t ‘hurt national security.” I suspect the translation is that no matter what Petreus and the foreign born Kelly did can not compete with the damage Obama has done to this country.

I watched this Liar in Chief and heres my 2 cents on his comments on Petraeus. If you have worked for the government before or now you know how to read between the lines. Before this presser today its been reported that the General would tesitfy before the Senate intel committee etc etc. So now the Bamster comes out today and gave the General High praise for his service to the country…ok stop right there…………Code for the General (POTUS too the GEN) “Im making you look good now so bud you stick to the initial script on Benghazi when you testify. If the General has any GUTS he will do whats right and than the American people will have his back despite his alledge affair. And for Susan Rice shes nothing more than a talking head for PBO and Crime Inc. Hillery and that POS Def Dept puke off in a foriegn country dodging congress. This Country is doomed for another four years of this Chicago THUGS in Charge. God Help us ALL.

Know why Obama and the spy Trolls here have spent so much time smearing Petraeus ? They needed to ruin his reputation in the event he had the courage to tell the TRUTH about them. Notice how the MSNBC troll guided Obama to an answer “are you withholding judgement Mr President?”…Obama answers..”I’m withholding judgement”. In other words..he’s waiting to see how it pans out politically.
He also said his priority is keeping Americans safe after being asked why help was denied to officials in Benghazi. 7 hours they watched the seige and Obama did nothing.
This press conference was almost surreal in how Obama just keeps on campaigning even without an election.

‘No evidence from what i’ve seen…’ says the president regarding national security being compromised; uh sir, the fact that we are discussing is is PROOF positive that it has already been breached.

SIr, your entire staff has perpetuated an environment where the mischievous deeds of others has thrived and prospered. Everybody instinctively knows that you cannot command respect, for you do not respect this country and its uniqueness. Petraes actions are an additional proof that he does not respect his office nor yours-it takes no iq to see this.

The US is an embarrassment on the world stage because we do not have a true leader, and the fruit is proof enough.

THere are so many excellent comments already that paint a bleak picture of
Obama and his alleged loyalties. This is just the beginning of a further downward spiral of American dominance on the world stage, but Obama and co would also ‘see no evidence of this…’

This is why this disgrace of a person needs a teleprompter. He is the Chief of Double Speak. He will make a flat statement that on it’s face sounds normal, but DIG UNDERNEATH and you see what’s going on.

During the campaign he said out loud that he would be open to “extending the same help” to other industries as he did to the car industry. WATCH OUT PEOPLE. That’s FACISM coming to a retail outlet near you.

Pork_ beware of throwing wide nets. Petraeus was a military commander. He did his job well when Bush was in office, and I respected him for that. I am sorry that he now has this personal disgrace made public. But I do want to know what he knows about the Benghazi incident. I want the facts, and the truth. Something I don’t trust this administration to provide unless forced to provide it.

So this should mean that Petraeus should be able to speak openly and honestly about Bengahzi, with credability in tact. Since his personal life should not matter. He had an affair before not during his assignment as CIA Director, and the Big O doesn’t believe he compromised any security. So then why is this a big deal? And now we can get back to the real betrayal. 4 lives sacraficed at the will of a coward in cheif. Who didn’t want any messess before an election.

  RJ, I do remember. And then when Obama won in 2008, I watched libs and cons switch rhetoric – like, a total switcheroo. As if they traded lines for four years. Too funny.
  
  What makes me laugh this week though is how all those months of Rush and Beck and Hannity saying how biased the polls were, etc etc, when that all turned out to be dead wrong, they dropped it like a hot potato.
