Bureaucrats Go After Santa Claus for…Not Having a Business License

William Mitchell of Shelby County, Tenn., was told that if he wanted to continue making money from his Santa Claus gig, he’d have to purchase a business license or face prosecution.

News 3 gives the details:

Mitchell sent a flyer to the Shelby County Clerk’s Office saying he would love to work their Christmas party this year.

They didn’t hire him.

Instead, they sent him a letter saying he better come buy a business license or they would turn him over to the district attorney’s office for prosecution.

The clerk’s office told us anyone who sells a service must have a business license.

The funny thing is, the clerk’s office didn’t tell Mitchell that only businesses generating more than $3,000 have to apply for a license. Unsurprisingly, Mitchell makes a whole lot less than three grand dressing up as St. Nick for Christmas parties.

Now he wants the $30 he paid for his business license back.

“I want them to get off my back, return my $30 and let me keep the wolf away from my door,” said Mitchell.

“If they’re expecting anything other than switches and ashes for Christmas they are suffering from a delusion,” he added.

Here’s how the liberals are going to put an end to Santa Claus:

Santa is everywhere, right? All at once, all around the world, all the time. The guy is incredible in that respect. E.g. he sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, he knows when you’ve been bad or good …

So, who is going to figure out they can be the governmental regulatory body regarding Santa Claus, since he is everywhere? The United Nations, of course. (I’m surprised, given all of the intellectual giants that work at the UN, that they have not yet thought of this).

So, the UN will announce that Santa has to have a worldwide business license that will cost him $1 billion/year or he is out of business. We all know Santa cannot afford that, not on top of having to pay for Obamacare for all of the elves and reindeer (yes, they too must be covered – they are employees). As a result, Santa will go out of business as of December 26, 2013, just before Obamacare kicks in on 1/1/14.

Enjoy him while you can, ladies and gentlemen, because Santa is about to be regulated out of business after next year. And you thought ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ was just a cartoon.

I have tried for 4 years to remove illegal fruit vendors off my streets. They make about 30K per year tax free without business license. If you bust one, another one arrives the next day to take his place. It is a ring. 100 of these illegal vendors brings in 3M dollars a year or more. . They use their cars as restrooms and dump it on my street. The county won’t lien their cars or house because illegal vendors claim no ID so I sent out the Highway Patrol. All of the sudden they have ID but the county still won’t go after them but if this Santa Claus was here, California would bust him immediately.

As the Federal, State, County, City governments raise taxes, more and more people will just work around the system and pay no taxes. I went to NYC right before Sandy and everyone wants to be paid in cash. In fact they will give discounts for cash. I wonder if when I paid $150.00 cash to park did the city get the 18% tax? Americans do not want to be slaves to the government.

So when we saw the President and First Lady out giving goodies to the kiddies they should have had a special license. How about when they get presents from other countries do they report them on their income tax and do they ask the other countries if they had a license to give the gift to them. Bad news kids you will be paying for the debt that the elected President help build and re-elected President will more then likely try to keep on spending more as the only income the government has is from the taxpayers and we only have the congress to try an control and not spend more then they receive . Joy to the World the Lord will come be prepared.

The mythical aura behind Santa is a fanstasy land idea. Just like the hoily spirit and Jesus Christ. Therefore anyone impersonating Santa aka mall Santas or Jesus Christ aka Glenn Beck should require a license.

  Christ is the only One in history to impact the global calendar. Civilizations were referenced according to His birth and death (BC/Before Christ-AD/After Death). This unprecedented distinction could not have occurred if Christ did not exist. Furthermore, for the following two millenniums, historical manuscripts substantiate that the only question was, “Is He the Son of God and Messiah?” Not once, in all the historical archives of antiquity, was His existence in question. It would have been far easier for the enemies of Christ to simply say that He did not exist… enemies that viewed Christ as intolerable threat to their tithes, reverence and undivided authority. The rabbis of the Sanhedrin would have eagerly declared that He did not exist if that had been an option. The antichrists did not dare say that He did not exist because they knew it would be utterly impossible to convince the masses, who saw and heard Christ, to disbelieve their own eyes and ears. One can reasonably question if Christ is the Son of God and Messiah, because this is faith-based, but to assert that He is a fantasy belittles and discounts many of the world’s most prestigious historians and scholars.

The color for Christmas this year is pink….as in pink slips. You must keep the poor people poor and create as many poor people as possible to keep them voting Democrat. The poorest among us voted heavily for Democrats. If you are not dependent on government, then they cannot control your vote. Poor people are easily controlled with fear of losing government support. Anyone trying to get ahead will be crushed by government. It has to be this way in order for Democrats to succeed.

Yeah, but see, they were expecting to pay their usual, lavish Christmas Party fee of $5000, not expecting he would ask for less. I didn’t expect communists o be celebrating Christmas anyway. They should be working on a religious holiday if they don’t believe in God.

  And how do “background checks” stop people who haven’t been caught doing anything? Background checks don’t validate good moral character, all they do is validate that somebody hasn’t been caught doing something bad. Which is the case with the vast overwhelming number of bad people who get caught.
  
  Sorry, but your background check State does nothing but lend you and others like you a false sense of security, and actually may help pedophiles since folks figure “hey, he/she passed a background check, no need to be as vigilant”. But at least you’ll feel good.

Well the rest of us in Tennessee wish we could remove Memphis (Shelby County) from the state. They have elected the only CPUSA / democrat to congress for years and in 2010 actually voted for the communist over a black female conservative…..

With a re-elected empty suit the secularists have already started the scripted ‘Judeo-Christian Attack’.
Thanksgiving has not even arrived yet.
My Christian neighbor, who has a 7 year old daughter, was puzzled when his daughter proudly announced last week, “Daddy there is no such thing as Santa Claus”.
When asked why she thought that she replied, “because my teacher told me so”.
And that America, is where all pig ignorance begins in this country.
Public school systems.
Needless to say that my neighbors child has just been placed in Catholic school. As were a few of her equally indoctrinated class mates. At least they will up normal.
Secularism, liberalism, socialism or whatever you want to call it all starts and continues K-12th grade and then continues in higher education.
We pay for this too.
Secession will allow competition for public schools.
It could possibly bankrupt them as well.
Consider the prospect of a more educated future for our children.
Without the controlled molestation of secularism.

  Your neighbor’s kid will get a much better education there as well, and have a opportunity to come out of school with three to four times the skills and knowledge necessary to secure a good college education. Public schools are cesspools, fetid slime of rotted minds and soulless addictions to perversions of socialism, twisted concepts of sexual relations, and drug use. Public schools are designed to turn out loyal slaves to the State, and public teachers are State indoctrination officers. The ability to learn and the absorption of knowledge is one of the last things on a public teachers agenda.

  Really? First of all, what does being a Christian have to do with lying to your kids about who brings them presents on Christmas. It’s not Santamas. (although you wouldn’t know it the way that most people revere Santa).
  
  Second of all, you have that backwards. Being told that Santa isn’t real isn’t ignorance. It’s actually the opposite.
  
  I am a Christian homeschooling mother who hates liberal public schools, so don’t bother with the default “You’re just an ignorant liberal” comeback. My kids have never been taught that some fat man breaks into their house at night by sliding down our nonexistent chimney. They know that the gifts that they are given come from people who know and love them. When money is tight this year, and they don’t get as much as they did another year, they won’t wonder if they had been naughty. We keep Christmas focused on CHRIST, where it should be.

Obozo, are you going to send your drones after those Holiday / Ramadan Tree sales again this year? Remember last year when you sent your clown drones to tax those Christmas tree lots…. for mear mentiong the word Christmas.
