Here’s the Shirtless Photo the FBI Agent Involved in the Petraeus Scandal Sent to Jill Kelley
The shirtless FBI agent who began the investigation that ultimately led to Gen David Petraeus’ resignation as CIA director says the shirtless photo found in the email inbox of Tampa socialite Jill Kelley was a “joke” sent to dozens of friends and acquaintances. At first glance, there appears to be nothing particularly sexual about the photo as some had previously speculated.
A newspaper report describes the photograph of the shirtless FBI agent as silly but not scandalous.
The Seattle Times published the photo on Thursday. Along with Kelley, a reporter with the paper also received the photo all the way back in 2010 when it was first sent out. The picture was snapped following a “hard workout” with the SWAT team at MacDill Air Force Base. Posing in between two target dummies that look a lot like him, Frederick Humphries sent the photo with the following caption: “Which One’s Fred?”
The photograph helped land Humphries in hot water though. The FBI is investigating Humphries for talking with Republican lawmakers about the investigation into harassing emails that Kelley received from Petraeus’s biographer and mistress.
Petraeus resigned from the CIA last week after acknowledging an extramarital affair. The liaison was discovered during an FBI investigation of harassing emails allegedly sent by Petraeus’ biographer and mistress, Paula Broadwell, to Jill Kelley. Broadwell allegedly saw Kelley as a rival.
Is there anything inappropriate about the photo?

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 6:27pmI don’t think it’s inappropriate. If he was trying to be humorous in posing with and looking like the target dummies, then I think he was spot on.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 4:06pmIsn’t Mrs. Kelley the one who implied the photo was suggestive? Or was that the press trying to discredit Gen. Allen in some way? Something about this woman makes you want to go “hmmmm…..”

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 11:25amI am underwhelmed. The media has made a big to-do about nothing. If the photo was in the paper how bad can it be? Journalism has just stop existing in America.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 10:55amWhats the big deal.
One thing about a liberal mind, they cannot understand the difference between something supposed to be funny and not offensive, and something real, like the osama administrations response to Benghazi.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 10:27amI dunno guys, speaking as a chick it looks like an ambiguous kind of “sexy/funny”. From a judgement standpoint: this guy works for the FBI??? How much impaired judgement does one have to have to work in the upper echelons?

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 9:52amThis article sucks! The Blaze should be ashamed of itself for not telling the rest of the story; I read on another news site that this man is responsible for the capture of a known terrorist and much more. It also stated the photo was taken in 2010, his wife has it framed, and it was sent to the slutty woman at the same time it was sent to many other people he knew.
By all accounts he is a good man and this does him injustice, if you are going to criticize, make sure you know the rest of the story. Besides, inappropriate? Really! we have woman running around in the street and on TV with less clothing on!

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 9:07amIn my estimation there is an outside chance that the affair between Patraeus and Broadwell is a ruse. Sex sells and that could be the only way to get the lapdog media to dig into just what the he!! has been going on in Tampa with the Khawama sisters et al.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 8:56amFor you non shooting folks, those “dummies” are targets and clearly the photo was a joke designed to note the similarities in the man’s build and baldness and the torso targets. I think it is, and was designed to be, funny. Too much is being made of it.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 8:55amWow, that ‘started’ the investigation?
let’s see a non sexual photo taken in ‘making fun of myself’ humor is ‘a scandal’ but for a Liberal, like one of the idiots from NY, texting sexual photos of himself, with sexual conduct, well that is more ‘bad thinking’ , ‘mistake’ etc… how transparent and ridiculous, It’s very easy to identify ‘scapegoat’.
welcome to Chicago politics, again…..
