‘Real News’: Israel Under Fire

Hamas has responded following Israel’s Wednesday attack on the Gaza strip that took out the leader of Hamas’s military wing. Three Israeli civilians were killed Thursday, as Hamas fired rockets into southern Israel. Israel spent a second consecutive day Thursday firing on weapons depots, rocket launching sites and other locations in Gaza pushing the Palestinian death toll over the last two days at 15 (7 civilians). The regional reaction led by Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi has been been to condemn Israel and stand by the Palestinian people. Egypt was once Israel’s only reliable ally in the area.

Israel has also faced some criticism for warning Hamas operatives, via the Israel Defense Forces official Twitter account, to not “show their faces above ground in the days ahead,” and then more or less live-blogging their military operations; including releasing a Youtube video of the air strike that killed Hamas leader Ahmed Jabari.

The shelling back and forth could go on for days between Israel and Hamas, and ground forces are preparing for what some worry could escalate into an all-out war. On ‘Real News’ Thursday the panel discussed how this could become a ‘nightmare scenario’ for the Obama administration and hopes for peace in the Arab world beyond Israel.

When trying to figure things out, one of the places that I start from is “who benefits”. Knowing that nothing occurs in isolation, who would benefit from dragging Israel into war?

The answer is not necessarily obvious. Israel literally has its back to the sea, and they have proven themselves more than adept militarily. They are well armed and trained (their entire adult population is available to fight if necessary), and committed, so their enemies wouldn’t take this up casually.

It is also odd that they would ignore Sun Tzu and telegragh their intentions on public media in advance – unless this is misdirection. Or they could be trying to deal with the problem in isolation and are telegraphing this to their other enemies to avoid escalation.

Syria would not welcome war with Israel as they are engaged with MB/al-Qaeda, but the “rebels” might find the distraction advantageous and make a false flag attack. Egypt and Libya are still somewhat disorganised, and Turkey cannot attack without NATO approval unless Israel attacks them – and that’s not going to happen.

Hamas, basically MB, may just be jabbing to keep the political narrative going.

Israel’s intelligence machinery is legendary and the nation is not lead by fools walking in darkness.. They know what they are doing, they are experienced, and they will certainly have a developed strategy.

Time to start digging…

  As most of us know, Palestinians are an invented nationality. But did you know that it was invented in 1964 by the KGB? Or that the first charter was drafted in Moscow? Or that the KGB hand-picked their first council?

  So again it is the pan-arab movement headed by the Muslim Brotherhood behind this. And behind the MB is Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Turkey etc.. The usual suspects in other words.
  
  They want Israel extinguished because it sits in the middle of the Islamic block with America and the west supporting them.
  
  With Mr Obama returned to the White House, the Islamists see a four year window of opportunity to advance the caliphate. They are, however, a little unprepared, given that the election result was a surprise to most, and I think that Israel is taking advantage of that.
  
  Israel is attempting to remove the viper from their house prior to any conflict with the unprepared Islamists, who also have the Syrian operation going under the international microscope.
  
  When you think about it, the timing is ideal for the Israelis. Mr Obama is about to get caught up in the gun-running scandal and must distance himself from the MB, so he can’t really help the Islamists at the moment. And the MB are on the back foot.
  
  Israel is always prepared, and it seems that they did not hesitate.

  The problem is the Muslims don’t care about who has the most power. All they want to do is kill or convert the world to Islam. This has been since the beginning of Islam and is written in the Koran (I’ve read and studied it). Israel is the devil to them and their only wish is to destroy them – anywhere they live. They have been held back by the US support of Israel. Now they are counting on Barry allowing them to do what they want. Barry may not be there but G-d is bigger than Barry and the Muslims. His promises are forever and soon the Messiah will return to claim his own.

Thank you all supporters of Israel and the Jews. We have NO Choice but to try to survive — and we will, with Divine Providence. Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood, and their goal is genocide. Thank you Glenn Beck for showing where morality lies, and to the whole news team for exposing the lies of Pallywood and the MSM.
