Scientist Shoots Holes In Obama’s Latest Statements On Climate Change

On Wednesday, TheBlaze reported on President Obama’s curious Press Conference admission about climate change and weather events like superstorm Sandy:

“We can’t attribute any particular weather event to climate change.”

While that statement from the President initially confused many on the Left who believe that man-made global warming is real, he also followed up that claim with statements that appeared to be laying the groundwork for possible second term action on previously failed legislative efforts in areas like “Cap & Trade” or carbon exchanges.

“What we do know is the temperature around the globe is increasing faster than was predicted even 10 years ago. We do know that the Artic icecap is melting faster than was predicted even five years ago. We do know that … there have been an extraordinary large number of severe weather events here in North America but also around the globe.”

The facts in Mr. Obama’s global warming statement are currently taking fire from several different sources. During Glenn Beck’s radio show, co-host Pat Gray disputed most of the President’s claims.

This afternoon, the Media Research Center (MRC) released a video featuring Dr. Timothy Ball, professor emeritus of the University of Winnipeg. In the clip, Dr. Ball breaks down and refutes virtually every claim made by President Obama.

And you wonder why you are losing elections. Finding one “scientist” does not a rebuttal make. Every study I’ve read this past summer reported record ice melt on the north pole. Wind would have little effect if the ice was as solid as it used to be. Denying is not going to make the problem go away. Voters are tired of the lies you are trying to sell. The neocon right is trying to discredit all legitimate science, reporting, and government in general so all you followers will believe the lies. America is on to you and vote against you. Get used to it it will only get worse.

  And if you would stop just listening to your buddies on the left you would also hear that the ice caps in Antartica are increasing. The earth balances itself out. Due more research all those that stated global warming have been denied by as many scientist. I guess if you pay enough you can have scientist tell you what you want, just like pollsters.

  Real science can be presented and the left’s Al Gore sycophancy will still be adhered to. I doubt you would believe the truth that, yes, the climate is changing but one has but to look at the cyclical patterns to see we have little to no impact and that temperature varies over the course of decades.

  Fishmagnet, you havent read any REAL reports then. Those compliled here at NOAA all show RECORD GROWTH in the thickness of the polar ice caps. perhaps you might actually TRY reading one of the reports you claim to have read, then you would have something to say… So until you do, would you like some catsuo for on your foot? And one other thing, Wind has no effect on ice, since the air temp is the same nomatter if it’s moving or stationary. The only time it affects something is if it removes the blanket of heated air from around something that produces heat such as a mammal, that effect is known as wind chill…

  Science does not require a consensus, nor is science ever “settled”. Science is ever changing. It is based on hypothesis, experimentation, and repeatable results. Global warming ignores results that doesn’t fit the narrative, and embraces results that does fit the narrative. There is no experimentation, and no repeatable results. Studying trends is not science. Global warming is a political platform, it is not science. There has been no measurable warming for 16 years. Your narrative is flawed. Get over it.

  No. All global warming should be taken seriously, however, it’s more likely climate change as opposed to global warming. You yourself stated the jury was still out on what was causing it. I do NOT know that man is causing it, nor do I know man is substantially contributing to it, but it’s obvious and clear that man is contributing to it in some way, no matter how infinitesimal. While we cannot drop everything we do that possibly causes climate change, we certainly can work towards and strive for less pollutants in our air, water and land. We certainly can continue to research how to obtain more and more efficient “green” energy as renewable resources do make sense. Additionally, even if there is only a .01 % chance that climate change is man-made and may harm our environment at some later date, wouldn’t you want to work at finding ways to remedy this that we can all work together on?
  
  Why do both sides of this argument have to be at odds with each other? Cannot anyone be ‘reasonable’ any longer and look at both sides of an issue and find ways to work together? No wonder our politicians are so divided as We the People are as well.

Lets think through this. These same scientists who claim the earth is billions of years old are attempting to persuade everyone that the climate is getting warmer based on a few hundred years of weather data?? A few hundred years doesn’t even show up on a graph when viewing the entire timeline of what they claim the earth to be. In the 70′s they claimed that there was another ice age coming. It’s all about money. Follow the money.

  The scariest news is that these people want to terraform Earth’s atmosphere! They claim to know exactly what will happen, that global temperatures will fall. However, it’s an undeniable truth that they’re lying. Nobody has terraforming experience, so they will be learning as they go while MODIFYING THE EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE!

How can any journalist justify calling themself that, much less accept a paycheck, when they merely parrot what the president or his minions claim.

AlGore was caught in so many obvious and ridiculous lies one would think he would never be taken seriously, but he managed to get a Nobel prize for pushing lies about the world and our interaction with it.

Of course, the scientists willing to fudge data, exclude data, and twist statistics to get their preconceived notions (as opposed to hypotheses) ‘proven’ are as guilty, since they are the ones giving the politicians the idea that somehow we are responsible for all the bad things in the world…

if we’re not careful, someone will claim that the biggest countries should have to pay for any natural disaster relief and rebuilding since ‘we are responsible’ for the climate tumult that triggered it.

is it wrong to hope that the mythical December cataclysm ruins the power base these people in Washington and the UN have built, returning it to where it belongs, the PEOPLE?! after the last election, i fear that’s what it will take, the sheeple are too numerous to vote the parasites out of office.

  Actually, smoking tobacco is neither addictive or causes cancer. Chemicals are added to make it addictive and Flue Curing tobacco does not let the natural sugars escape like the old fashioned 3 month long curing process does. Smoking those sugars is what causes cancer.
  
  This is the reason those tobacco exec’s can testify under oath, with a straight face and say smoking tobacco doesn’t cause cancer. Do some research on how different Countries cure tobacco and compare the cancer rates. You’ll be amazed.

It’s good the professor isn’t a professor emeritus of an American university or he could end up in a nice FEMA camp for disagreeing with Glorious Leader. I hear that he’s about ready to issue another executive order to that effect soon.
