Warren Buffett: Economy Can Survive Going Off The Fiscal Cliff, Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

With an estimated net worth of $44 billion dollars, Warren Buffett probably doesn’t have to worry about surviving if the American economy falls of the fiscal cliff and the country is hit with a double-dip recession, but the president’s wealthy supporter thinks the country could survive as well.

In an interview with CNN’s Poppy Harlow, Buffett explained why he believes American would be able to handle the looming financial crisis.

”We have a very resilient economy, the fact that [lawmakers] can’t get along for the month of January is not going to torpedo the economy.”

Buffett also identified what he considers to be the biggest problem in moving our economy forward: Healthcare costs, calling them the “tapeworm of our economy.”

In the full version of the interview, Buffett also gave his very early endorsement for the 2016 presidential election — he’s a Hillary Clinton supporter.

“I don’t see how you could have anybody better qualified,” he said, adding, ”I like what she believes in, I think she’s extraordinarily able and energetic for that matter in pushing those beliefs.”

  Please…that old crook has still got it. He carries water for Obama as a result of what happened in 2008/2009 transition (TARP I and II). Paulson et all let Lehman tank and basically threatened BoA to eat Merrill Lynch because Berkshire had a boatload of CDS exposure to both countrywide as well as Merrill. So Buffet plays ball politically, BofA swallows two poison pills and the taxpayer foots the bill and the old crook walks away unharmed.

This is a man who is married and lives with another woman, and has for years, who is a big supporter of planned parenthood, who has a “i have mine, and will do what ever to prevent you from getting yours, because i dont want competition” mentality, insider dealing with the current administration, he just upped his holding in AIG, the same AIG that received billions in bailout, hmm wonder what sweetheart insider deal he is playing off? when they bought into coke, profits when up because they cut cost (think quality) and market share went down. He bought into fruit-of-the-loom, profits when up, quality dropped and so did market share. He bought into Dairy queen, profits went up, the size and quality went down and cost went up, and they almost went under, this is his pattern of success. I can’t afford running off the cliff, there is no multi billion dollar cushion at the bottom for me and for millions of others you so easily would throw off the cliff. People like you have ruined this country with you’re arrogant detachment. Living far above the real struggle on Mt. Olympus you and yours wish to make decisions for the true people of America.   I believe that he has endorsed Hillary for president now because the next 4 years will prove what kind of a nightmare obama and his ultra extreme racist liberals are. Hillary is not going to continue in this admin so as to distance herself from obama without looking like she doesn’t like him but to offer a more “moderate” version of the democratic party that will encompass all races and religions after obama and his ilk do irrrepairable damage to the fabric of this country. She hopes to look like a life preserver on a sinking ship. She and Bill will do anything to put her in the White House. Buffet is hypocrite He lives off his capital gains and pays 15% tax, while the rest of us including his secretary pay at a higher tax rate, and if you have no deductions, your scrwed. The IRS will not be able to touch his wealth no matter who is president.

Start looking at small changes in the Hillary’s looks. Small nip and tuck surgeries over the next 3 years. She has to be made stately and younger looking.

I think he’s looked at the tea leaves and figured Bershire Hathaway better be properly aligned with the likely new president in 2016, since Republicans are a joke at this time.   Of course the economy will survive, but it won’t be the same as it is today. Cave men trading pelts with each other is an economy, but not one you would desire. Buffett has made quite a bit of money with the aid of the federal government. He still uses legislation and political favors to advance his personal wealth. In fact Buffett is the exact type of wealthy individual that the leftists assume all businessmen to be. It is highly amusing that most of those wealthy individuals who gained their wealth through inheritance, graff, nepotism, or political favors are leftists. Buffett is likely to harmed very little by the fiscal cliff, having the options to move his wealth around so as to be insulated from the worst effects. Joe the Roofer does not have that option, and is likely to see his livelihood destroyed by the fascist centrally controlled system that leftists have put in place. There is no way to avoid the consequences of decades of idiotic fiscal policy. The choice is to suffer the pain quickly, or slowly draw it out and make it worse.
