Watch: Rioters in London Clash With Police Over ‘Cleaver’ Terror Attack
‘Absolutely Reckless’: Geraldo Defends Petraeus During Fiery Exchange With ‘Fox & Friends’ Hosts
Geraldo Rivera isn’t afraid to debate his fellow Fox News employees. On numerous occasions, he’s found himself in heated arguments with others at the network over the Benghazi, Libya, terror attacks. On Friday morning, Rivera clashed, once again, with the hosts of “Fox & Friends” over Gen. David Petraeus’ knowledge of the violent embassy attack.
Of particular note was Rivera’s defense of the former CIA-head, claiming that any indication that he was not fully honest due to fears over his affair being held over his head were unacceptable and unfounded.
“It is inconceivable to me that this honorable warrior, this American Napoleon, this best general since Dwight Eisenhower, would ever dishonor his service because he was afraid the FBI was going to embarrass him with this extramarital affair,” Geraldo said. “I think that — hold it, I just want to say this — that speculation is absolutely reckless and has no fact bas at all and it really is a disgrace to a man…”
Watch the video, below:
During a closed hearing this morning, Petraeus told lawmakers that he believed from the start that terrorists were behind the Benghazi attack. These claims are seemingly at odds with his initial assessment that the the event was a spontaneous reaction and not pre-planned.

The best way to deal with this is to ignore the “Bush did it too” comment and continue to talk about Obama and his Benghazi debacle. Don’t get into a back and forth of trying to defend Bush or anyone else. They are trying to put you on the defense by changing the subject.

Posted on November 17, 2012 at 7:30amMr. Geritoldo,
All people can do is speculate, because “YOUR” dipstick-in-chief has caused the speculation, not coming clean.
Was Susan Rice sent out to introduce Mr. Dipstick, because they knew he was going to address her venue, the UN? Remember, she was not involved in the Libyan debacle!!!!
Every key player in the Benghazi event were there, in town, watching it live, and none of them were sent out, and that is the way a “LIAR” keeps their hands clean. This is all a big game to Obama, with the media in his pocket!!!!

I think at one time they were trying to get rid of him perma style, when they sent him out as a war corresponent. He was luckier than they. He hasn’t been quite the same though since the explosion that near killed him, which took place when he was tickling Barbara Streisand’s fancy with his mustache. You can read about it in his personal autobiography and sexstavaganza and in his own words.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 7:28pmI agree with criticisms of Mr Rivera as they apply in his past statements, but I also agree with his current defence of Gen Patraeus – minus the hyperbole.
Gen, Patraeus was one of the most capable general officers available to the US military in his time. I think that’s hard to dispute. He has fallen from grace, but he is far from alone. It is, sadly, a not uncommon human failing.
That said; I believe Gen. Patraeus to be a man of considerable integrity and courage, and I believe he will be forthright in his testimonies.
And, God, do I hope that I’m right…

All this being said , geraldo having never been in the military , wouldn’t understand this. Not to mention also making and keeping promises made in his wedding vows. Why they keep booking him is beyond me. He was thrown out of Iraq for disclosing a pending operational maneuver, yet he brags about being such a great “war correspondent”.
Just this morning he said that General Petraeus would not change his story from his briefing to Congress on Sept 14th. Then the General did change it.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 1:22pmThe White House changed the talking points. Once the talking points left Langley, they had information that states Ansar Al-Sharia/Al Queda, was behind the embassy/consulate attacks. The only entity who would need to change the talking points is the White House. This occurrence didn’t fit into the Democrat narrative that Al Queda is no longer a threat that Obama had been chirping about during his campaign. Talk about politicizing an event. Lying to cover up a terrorist attack to protect a campaign narrative is about as political as it gets!
