Glenn Beck Hosts Chris Tangey on Morning Radio to Discuss His Refusal to Sell Fire Tornado Footage Rights to Al Gore

TheBlaze has brought you the stunning footage of the so called “firenado” — a whirling dust devil on fire shot in the Australian outback by filmmaker Chris Tangey. More recently we spoke with Tangey about how he was contacted (twice) by Al Gore’s team hoping to use the footage for climate change presentations.

Ultimately, Tangey researched climate change and knowing that this fire vortex was not the result of global warming, he told Gore’s representatives no.

On Friday, Glenn Beck hosted Tangey on his morning radio show where he explained the cirumstances of the tornado and what transpired with Gore’s Climate Reality Project.

After doing his research, Tangey said on the show, that he “came to the conclusion that I had to say no,” because the event of the fire whirl had nothing to do with global warming. Tangey describes it as a “highly localized event that really had nothing to do with weather let alone global warming.”

Beck thanked Tangey for taking a stand for what he believed in.

Beck just got a free fire-whirl to throw in the face of Al Gore.

America is still gonna die & The Eagle will not be reborn.

Anyways, Global Warming doesn’t even matter. A True Believer in God would do what they could to help…but they would never sacrifice their fellow man.

Heston’s Cold Dead Hands need to be reanimated so he can pull the trigger on Al Gore and those like him, who are trying to make people OK with Human Sacrifice…be it direct or indirect, temporal or spiritual.

Yep. Since this one video doesn’t show an event that is caused by climate change (as any environmental scientist would happily tell you the instant he/she saw this video), climate change is fake. Screw anyone who brings up things that are actually relevant to climate change, such as the recent droughts people across the globe are experiencing. Whose to change my opinions based on a single video? Facts?

  And nice job trying to disingenuously make it seem like the objective of this article is to… what, exactly? Seriously, how can you take in this article in any other way besides “This guy filmed something, Al Gore wanted to pay to use the video as proof (which it isn’t, like any environmental scientist will tell you), therefore climate change is a scam and you should feel awful that you aren’t swayed to change your opinion due to this single incident.”? A firenado is a tornado that went over a wildfire, the way a waterspout is a tornado that went over water.
So now fire is evidence of global warming?

I guess the little flame at the end of a candle, or a lighter, or a match…they prove global warming, too. And when man created fire? Not only did he discover a way to cook food, he also discovered (cue fanfare) Global Warming! He was the prehistoric Al Gore!

Of all dates for fire in the Sky’s to happen, what’s with the date 9 –11… You would think more like 12 -21-12 for something like that to happen.

When I first read the headlines I thought how something like that would happen and remember watching the Weather Channel where they explain how massive fires can create their own weather.
Yes, I could see how Al Gore would twist that around to say that Global warming is now creating these things and how they would be an increase of them if we don’t send him Millions of dollars to prevent them. I think everyone should send me money instead for my pure for profit fund to benefit me… At least I would know the money would be going to a great cause… ME!

The Fire Whirl was really cool to watch. I think the Blaze should use it as their Logo.

  Global Warming Theory has been co-opted by socialist politicians who are pouring Billions of Dollars into universities in order to get “results” that justify their plans to overthrow Democracy, Capitalism, freedom and liberty.
  
  The ends of this political movement is Socialism, and the means include false propaganda, so a socialist filmmaker would have gladly sold this video to Al Gore for the glory of the Fatherland!
