Petraeus Testified That He Knew Libya Was Terrorism From the Start, Rep. Peter King Reveals
Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said former CIA Director David Petraeus told lawmakers Friday that he believed all along that terrorists were involved in attacking the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya — at odds with his initial testimony two months ago when he labeled the Sept. 11 assault a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam video.
“General Petraeus’ testimony today was that from the start he told us that this was a terrorist attack, that terrorists were involved from the start,” King told reporters after the closed-door hearing before the House intelligence committee. “I told him in my question I had a very different recollection of that.”
King added, “The clear impression we were given was that the overwhelming amount of evidence was that it arose out of a spontaneous demonstration and it was not a terrorist attack…he has I think a different impression of the impressions he left on Sept. 14.”
King said a CIA analyst with Petraeus testified that the agency’s talking points for the White House immediately after the attack were specific about Al-Qaeda terrorist involvement but that the line was apparently removed from the final version of events.
“After it went through the process…that was taken out,” King said.
United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice said on Sept. 16 that the best information available indicated the Benghazi attacks were prompted by the video. It took the White House about a week to label them terrorism.
King called the proceedings “very cordial” and said everyone thanked Petraeus for his service following his resignation one week ago after admitting to an extramarital affair.

Air Base No. 4. Better known as Lajes Field, the facility where Premier Wen’s 747 landed in June is jointly operated by the U.S. Air Force and its Portuguese counterpart. If China controlled the base, the Atlantic would no longer be secure. From the 10,865-foot runway on the northeast edge of the island, Chinese planes could patrol the northern and central portions of the Atlantic and thereby cut air and sea traffic between the U.S. and Europe. Beijing would also be able to deny access to the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
And China could target the American homeland. Lajes is less than 2,300 miles from New York, shorter than the distance between Pearl Harbor and Los Angeles.

I wonder if either of you men have ever “looked upon a woman to lust after her in your heart”? You have? Well, your children ought to dismiss the years of being a provider and father to them based on your moral failure (sin). What Patraeus did was wrong. He owned up to his sin. He stepped down from a high ranking position in the military. He’s coming clean now with Congress. Get over yourselves men, I seriously doubt that either one of you would have the courage to face what he is facing now. Instead of a lynching, why don’t we get down to all the facts, and if they reveal TREASON, let’s talk about removing our newly re-elected President from the White House.

Judging from the past behavior of our serial liar president, such a theory becomes reasonable to consider. What if he just beat Obama to the punch. If he know it was coming, wouldn’t it be better to admit what did himself rather than have a sanctimounius fingerpointed at him by Obama and his captive press.

The general LIED in his original testimony before the House Intel Committee. So now he says he doesn’t remember he lied? Pleeze. Dana Perino had already pointed out that the al-Qaeda reference had been scrubbed from the original report by the Hussein gang. I, for one, knew it too. So? Doesn’t the general have a mouth of his own? He could have tendered his resignation immediately and told the truth in his first briefing to Congress, BEFORE the election.
There is no question in my mind that the general was blackmailed, and since he continues to lie about it, the logical conclusion is that he is STILL being blackmailed. Hussein has info on Petraeus (pics/videos, methinks) that will keep him from ever telling us that he was blackmailed by the Traitor and his FBI.
Scandals and X-gates do not exist in Obamanation. We either live with a commie Muslim in the WH, or not. Those are the two options.

The resulting defense department will only exist in this country against fellow Americans. Verbal attacks are the new norm to cease opposition.
The Great Divide has begun. We hear them everyday lashing out, indoctrinating the people, news medias tongue wagging with No credibility. Divide and Conquer.
There is NOT one person in office today that will stand up to him and complete the impeachment process. We’re fools to believe that would ever happen. He has no accountability for his actions or lack of, congress… don’t expect much from them after 4 years of nothing but little talk-no action.
In 4 years under obama watch what has he accomplished to benefit this country?? Huge jobs losses, unsustainable living costs to middle America, foreclosures, an unhealthy care law that will crush the middle class and close business, the great divide amongst fellow Americans.

This is the statement from Rep King:
“General Petraeus’ testimony today was that from the start he told us that this was a terrorist attack, that terrorists were involved from the start,” King told reporters after the closed-door hearing before the House intelligence committee. “I told him in my question I had a very different recollection of that.”
So Rep King is saying there is a contradiction from his original statement.
Then he is saying that a CIA agent backed the Generals testimony.
‘King said a CIA analyst with Petraeus testified that the agency’s talking points for the White House immediately after the attack were specific about Al-Qaeda terrorist involvement but that the line was apparently removed from the final version of events.’
“After it went through the process…that was taken out,” King said.
This is saying that after it went through the process (white house talking points) it was removed. It was NOT removed by Fox News, but by the white house from the original testimony is what the General and CIA agent are testifying to.
Rice on the 16th said it was a spontaneous reaction and the white house didn’t say it was terrorism until a week later. So either the General is lying or the white house is lying.

In what Universe is that not damaging to the Administration and hussein directly??

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 11:06amLet us engage in some critical thinking.
We must first remember the goal of Psi-Ops which is to make the unplausible seem plausible and this is accomplished my making the plausible seem unplausible.
What the CIA reported initially was a demonstration fueled by the Egyptian demonstration and whatever fueled that demonstration. Nothing in the CIA report mentions the silly video in question. This is what Petraeus reported to congress and the truth as far as he knew it.
Somewhere between the CIA and Rice the issue of the video was added and Rice reported that. Or more correctly, parroted it, but it is the truth as she knew it.
What we found out (which the CIA didn’t initially believe themselves) is that the attack was orchestrated by a powerful terrorist group for a very specific purpose. Question here is, why did the CIA not know this right from the start? Either they are dumb and misread the warnings, or they faked themselves out with their own Psi-Ops, assuming this kind of terrorist attack so implausible that they couldn’t believe it when they saw it.
Now… we have so much implausible arm-chair generalling going on that nobody can tell what is plausible or implausbile, and filling in the details with their imaginations.
Here is the most plausible story:
The CIA didn’t know or didn’t realize the attack was an orchestrated terrorist attack and that is why they didn’t ask for or send in backup.
The cover-up is the government, Administration, Se

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 11:13amThe cover-up is the government, Administration, Sec.Def., CIA, covering up the fact that they were totally fooled (and incompetent) in mistaking this coordinated attack as a mere political demonstration.
What we don’t know is where Rice got the information that this was all caused by the silly video. So, lets look back at what I said about Psi-Ops.
The most logically implausible story is the one Rice told about the video being the cause, but emotionally it is the story everyone wants to accept as plausible.
What is most plausible is the CIA and government intel where simply caught by surprise and failed to properly react. Nobody wants to believe our intel community could be this incompetent so we are taking this simple explanation as implausible, when logically it is the only version of events that makes any logical sense.
Furthermore, Petraeus is an honorable military officer, he would not resign his post over an intel kerfluffle. Nobody asked him to resign or challenged him to resign. His resignation is purely based on getting caught with his pants down, a direct violation of his own personal honor code.
The truth here is so simple that absolutely nobody is going to accept it, and thus fuel the continual Psi-Ops cover-up of the incompetence involved.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 12:58pmHussein was re-elected because around 50% of the American populous are idiots and care only about themselves… not something bigger like the well being of our nation, it’s founding’s, and future generations. So… it appears that about half of Americans are really “Americino’s”. “Americans In Name Only” and the illegal immigrants are even that.
America is likely “toast” as a cohesive unit, BUT… Some of us will never change regardless of the outcome.
FORWARD, I guess. See ya there!

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 10:56amMonice troll, when did you turn off your logic center?
Petraeus recollection is not the impression he left the Congress with on September 14. IE what he said was spun differently than he remembers or differently than he wishes it had been presented.
NEVERTHELESS, his CIA analyst specified that the report GOING TO THE WHITE HOUSE included the information about Al Queda. And that it was gone from the final report.
so someone at the White House edited out the information in their decision to go forward pushing the video theory. That person or persons have yet to step forward or be identified.
Now, sadly even if the President himself made that decision, someone will be the appointed fall guy, but if you surmise from just the noted recollections of the hearing that there is no conspiracy here, you are in danger of overdosing on the kool aid.
Remember Benghazi!

If there was a person at the white house who removed the information without the president’s knowledge, then presented that to the president as truth, that would be TREASON. There would be no way to hide from something like this.
There is no doubt that the president is the driver behind the lies.

What are you missing with “..immediately after the attack were specific about Al-Qaeda terrorist involvement but that the line was apparently removed from the final version of events.” There’s the cover up. Now a critical thinker would ask, by whom and for what reason? If your house was on fire you would argue there’s no smoke.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 12:28pmThe rest of the story from the AP:
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said Petraeus disputed Republican suggestions that the White House misled the public on what led to the violence in the midst of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
“There was an interagency process to draft it, not a political process,” Schiff said after the hearing. “They came up with the best assessment without compromising classified information or source or methods. So changes were made to protect classified information.
“The general was adamant there was no politicization of the process, no White House interference or political agenda,” Schiff said. “He completely debunked that idea.”
Schiff said Petraeus said Rice’s comments in the television interviews “reflected the best intelligence at the time that could be released publicly.”
King said Petraeus had briefed the House committee on Sept. 14 and he does not recall Petraeus being so positive at that time that it was a terrorist attack. “He thought all along that he made it clear there was terrorist involvement,” King said. “That was not my recollection.”
Beck needs his rabid friends angry, he knows the only way he can keep them is to keep them blinded from the truth with his lies and conspiracy theories.

You may be on to something profound with your comments about E’s lips wrapped around Barry’s A.H.. See, ‘E’ suffers from the heart break of bad breath and terminal stupidity. For all this time I thought his breath stunk because he’s full of crap. Truthsurfer, your comment suggests another more plausable reason not to mention the fact that E seems high on something. He’s high on Barry’s methane which is also the cause of his putrid breath. Everyone here should chip in and get E a huge pack of certs w industrial strength retsyn (an ingredient that helps combat bad breath). Unfortunately the certs won’t stop stupid, but they’ll help clear the air.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 11:07amAn excellent observation. It was inexcusable not to have heeded plain prior warnings that our position in Benghazi were threatened. After the fact, did it really matter all that much whether the attack was spontaneous, well-planned or some combination of the two? The word “terror” was in fact used, by the president and others, within a couple of days, while at the same time there was continued mention of the infamous video. This is a childish argument over nomenclature.

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 3:39pmI am getting tired of indivduals speculating about Benghazi when everyone is quite aware that the
Kenyan Moron, the illegimate Muslim President of the United States is “GUILTY OF EVERYTING”
linked to the deaths of 4 Americans. Why is everyone attempting to protect this Moronic Kenyan.
Both he and George Soros care nothing about the United States; both are not natural born citizens
of the United States, and everyone is quite aware of the Moron’s experiences during the later 1970;
his close associations with George Soros (Socialist and worse); William Ayers (Communist author
whom wrote both of the Moron’s books and is quite well known as the leader of the “WEATHER
UNDERGROUND GROUP,” whose mission was to bomb government buildings; Frank Marshal
Davis (the Moron’s card-carrying Communist mentor); Frances Fox Piven and her husband,
Richard Cloward, “ANARCHISTS”; and Tony Rezko (a criminal whom is currently serving time in
prison). As I have mentioned in the past and have warned my e-mail list, anyone or anything
connected to George Soros and the Moron, can rest-assure that the outcome will be negative, but
not for Soros. Money talks. For the past few years, the United States was warned that the fall of
the U.S. would come from within, not from without, and now you know the rest of the story.
