President Obama’s former green jobs czar Van Jones went on “Anderson Cooper 360″ Wednesday to discuss the fallout from the presidential elections and the demographic problems facing the Republican party. When the topic of the Tea Party came up, Jones was rather candid in his assessment. He called the Tea Party “one of the most impressive citizen movements in history of country” adding that they should be spoken of “with a certain amount of respect.”
Jones then turned the conversation, noting that the Tea Party has “been harmful to the GOP.” The reason? ”Some of the style and tone of the Tea Party has been very offensive to people of color and women” Jones says. He notes that this hurts the Republicans demographically as the party looks to grow. Jones concludes by reiterating that it would be a “mistake” for Democrats to not work with the Tea Party caucus.

Nov. 16, 2012 at 7:48pmThis is nothing more than a Marxist ginning up the propaganda theme of TEA Party folks being exclusive to angry white men.
They know what this last election meant. They are by propaganda trying to quell the movement of the TEA Party. Kill the morale. Put fear into anybody on the fringe of joining of being labeled a racist/ misogynist and discourage any minority of joining.
It also sends a subtle message to those useful idiots. Van Jones is nothing more than a media propagandist for the movement.

I have a few thoughts I must share. First-Van Jones..You know you have to address us(Tea Party), cause we won’t fade like the 99%ers. In fact I believe we will only get strong with what is to come(next four years). Sorry Jones it won’t work. Second I was at restoring honor and restoring Love…and I would say that Beck\Freedomworks are allies to our movement! They are a part of us! Thirdly, We(tea party) represent all American’s! That’s a fact! Color\Gender means nothing. I save the best for last….. I’m proud to see so many Fellow Patriot’s. I have nothing but love for you all! STAY STRONG, my friend’s :)

Limited Gov, personal responsibility, and love of nation. No war on women, war on blacks, war on the rich, war on whatever. We need to get more people active and riled or we will lose this nation to a group of minority’s being pandered to by “BIG GOV” Ie Obama. People, if you have core Tea Party beliefs…..start speaking up and getting in your reps face.

Nov. 17, 2012 at 12:36amAn SEIU leader lamented that while they tried to organize the OWS crew into the democratic response to the TEA party, it failed miserably [despite the monies pumped into it]. He acknowledged that the TEA party was a true grassroots movement, a multitude of members across an entire nation working as a single organic unit, keenly focused on pushing the rights of the individual in a highly organized manner.
The difference is that you can’t buy the passion behind the concept – freedom. In just a few short years, the TEA party has accomplished so very much. They still thrive in communities continuing to grow their network and working towards liberty, lower taxes and smaller government for all individuals.

Nov. 17, 2012 at 7:57amIf the tea party represents all of America why do most Americans reject the tea party. The tea party is embraced by only a small percentage of Americans, and the moderates are frantically trying to distance themselves from the tea party. As for myself, I long ago declared the tea party an enemy of the people, and traitors to the republic. You are the enemy, and the world will be a far better place without you.

Very sad that just because a black person calls a group “racist” or “Bigoted” means that must be true no matter what to his tragically mis-informed followers, especially when it is a conservative group/person..WE conservatives really need to go out and explain our ideology everywhere possible that we want the best for anyone in this country regardless of race, religion or gender. The general notion that “Republicans are only for the rich ” needs to be put to rest permanently. We need more Clear speaking conservatives like Herman Cain to go into the inner-cities and show the masses just how sheep-like they really are!!

Nov. 16, 2012 at 6:46pmAs a member of the Tea Party, I am less offended by Van Jones than the GOP.
Van Jones is a known quantity, he is a socialist, and he is my enemy. As my enemy I afford him a certain amount of respect. I know that he will do anything to win, and I know that he really believes that “his” way is the best way for American prosperity ( I think it will destroy the nation), and I will oppose him at every turn.
But the GOP is like a seductress worming it’s way into your thinking, and slowly eroding the Tea Party with promises of relevancy if they go along, and warnings of destruction if they don’t.
The GOP is taking the once pure conservative message and corrupting it, turning it into this hateful nebulous thing which says nothing, and means nothing. And if they have their way the Tea Party will die forever….And they are supposed to be our friend… Pftt!!
The GOP is like the One Ring. The Tea Party needs to take this gold bauble off their finger, and throw it into the fire permanently.

Nov. 16, 2012 at 7:04pmAgreed. There are so many Republicans that vote the party line. Just because someone has an R in front of their name, doesn’t mean that person is a good candidate. Then they always use their reasoning that “They are better than the democrat.” Well, sometimes yes and sometimes know. If McCain had won in 2008, the TEA Party & 912 movements may not have been created. McCain is a progressive just like Obama is, but he would have taken the country their slower. Nov. 16, 2012 at 11:00pmI agree. The Tea Party was never a Republican movement. It is a patriotic movement outside all political parties. The fact that we are conservative only speaks to the rational truth of conservative principles. He is right that it is one of the most impressive movements of all time. That is because it it came from mainstream America, middle America, seeing the future and saying “no”. We were right then and are right now. And we took a stand in time to have it make a difference if people had chosen to listen. History will see it as the amazing thing it is. The only problem is that prophets tend not to be honored until after the disaster they are warning about has occurred.

Because when the storm hits it will be people like ONEIRISHMAN and the rest of his OWS ilk who will be doing the hanging. They will happily turn the big cities into abattoirs until the food runs out. Then they will turn on each other. After a few excursions into more rural areas they will learn to avoid the land of the well armed and fortified Tea Partier.
…And when the storm has run it’s course it’ll be the real patriots who pick up the pieces, and set this nation back on even keel…because they have the will, the faith, and the heart to survive this coming fandango.
