Bomb Explodes Near Anderson Cooper During Live Broadcast From Gaza: ‘Woah!’

Anderson Cooper reacted like a pro when a bomb fell in the middle of his CNN broadcast Sunday night.

Discussing the recently-reported fatalities, Cooper instinctively ducked forward and said “woah!” as the bomb was heard from where he was reporting in Gaza.

Taking only a few moments to collect himself, Cooper continued in his usual measured tone: “Well, that was a rather large explosion…”

Looking behind him, Cooper added that he couldn’t see where exactly the bomb landed, but that it set off a number of nearby car alarms.

“That was probably the largest explosion that we’ve heard just in the past hour– there have been a number of explosions in the past hour or two, but that one was pretty loud,” he said.

Someone should get his coordinates and send them to the IDF. That would be real news.

In a sick way, Anderson is in Israel so he can asses the true impact of his reporting or non reporting of the facts that lead to Obama re-election. The Good News is that Anderson will be able to recall in more detail when he faces God on Judgement Day. It is going to Suck to be him.

      Hey, Water the Tree,

You’re using one of my favorite Thomas Jefferson quotes. I can’t understand why more people don’t realize that things don’t rock along forever if the train has taken the wrong track. The same conflict is going to eventually have to happen in the good old USA when the “Makers” get tired of carrying the “Takers.”

BiBi has only one option: Line-up those armored bulldozers as far as the eye can see and start aiming them toward the Med. Push the rubble into the sea after ensuring that Gaza is raked clean. Job well done. let the Saudis welcome the Palestinians into their warm Muslim embrace! Ha! Ain’t never gonna happen!

First of all the blast occurred more than a mile away, and the camera man didn’t notify Anderson of the bomb flash, if it had been near by and they waited to hear it, that would have quickly ended his career and that live report. If you see a flash, don’t wait for the boom it’s too late by then, not to mention if the blast wave is big enough it can kill you in any number of ways.

“That blast was more than a mile away” Really? Let’s do the math…

Time from flash to sound of explosion = 1.4seconds
Speed of sound at sea level = 1,126 feet per second
      1,126fps x 1.4sec = 1,576.4 feet
      One mile = 5,280 feet
      1,576.4 feet/5280 feet/mile = 0.298 Miles

I’m thinkin’ that the blast was a LOT closer than “more than a mile away”. Say, more like 0.298 miles away? Give or take variations in barometric pressure due to altitude and errors in my timing, of course.
