GOP Senator: Susan Rice ‘Will Have to Testify’ About Benghazi

With Susan Rice’s name being floated as a potential replacement for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the U.N. Ambassador is back in the news with a vengeance. Her controversial initial comments about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya are seen as a major impediment to her prospects, with Republicans in Congress still screaming bloody murder over the level of falsehood involved in those comments.

Moreover, many appear to be chomping at the bit waiting for potential confirmation hearings as a rare opportunity to break through the firewall surrounding White House aides involved in the response to Benghazi. To that end, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said on “Fox News Sunday” that he believes Rice will have to testify about Benghazi at some point, possibly just as a form of damage control for her own prospects.

“She’s going to have to come in and testify at some point, whether it’s in a closed hearing or an open hearing,” Chambliss said. He also said he’d attempt to get Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to schedule a hearing for this purpose.

Chambliss’ comments, mild as they are, still suggest that there is a large hurdle for Rice to clear if she wants the position of Secretary of State. Republicans have been very happy, for instance, with the post-Benghazi performance of former CIA Director David Petraeus, who has reportedly been very forthcoming in closed hearings before the Senate. Rice’s stonewalling and reported willingness to repeat talking points in defiance of reality would present a much more serious problem for legislators seeking to get information from administration officials.

America will never be saved until it cuts off ALL Middle east foreign aid like it did under Eisenhower. It must pull out of all theaters and abandon all military bases. Then it must end this military industrial complex. America does not need a large army or entangling alliances.

Rice may testify but she will lie without batting an eye. And who would charge her with perjury ? The DOJ ? Not going to happen. Even if these low lifes testify they will lie and no one will hold them accountable and the media will lap it up and call anyone who questions the lies a racist.
When they run for a third term who will stop them? No one.

  and most pathetic, most disgraceful, while the bodies of the fallen heroes lay in front of their loved ones, the President and Secretary of State told their families that it was a YouTube video to blame, riotous civilians to blame, no mention of Al Queda or terrorists. Pathetic, disgraceful, devoid of the milk of human kindness.

I realy dont think it matters much that she said what her boss told her to say , although I do feel that if she wants to be Secretary of State she should realy be able to think for herself. Having said that here is article on why she should not be Secretary of State based on her UN record , and this is what we should be fighting to get out there , not this distraction that isnt going to keep her from being elected.

Playing dumb is a benchmark of this administration and I am personally applaud at their childish behavior. Who cares about benghazi? Ambassador Robespierre got what he deserved. He encouraged the brutal lynching of the leader of a stable country that america MADE PEACE WITH IN 2009. He encouraged the manufactured crisis and became a victim of his own revolution. ya its fun to whip up the war hysteria when you can sit back in your recliner and watch it happen…until it finds you. News reports said all along that this was “al qaeda.” the same “al Qaeda” that attacked america on 9/11 and in ’93. There is a reason why America is involved in endless wars – it is very profitable.

  Nyet! LONGKNIFE. News reports followed the “disgusting video” lie proclaimed and re-proclaimed by Rice, Clinton, and Obama. They had to distract because the reality of arms dealing in Benghazi could get them all thrown into prison. It seems that Susan is presently the darling of the MSM as well s Obama…she can do no wrong and he will deal with anyone who tries to bring her down. I seriously doubt that she will very forthcoming at any hearing she is involved in as she will protect the nut in the White House. I hope this does not turn into a political farce as the outcome lies in the hands of the GOP…little comfort there!

Susan Rice is not only the face of a lie but if one was to dig into those rent a cops that pulled out from that embassy just before the attacks started, a bigger surprise might just be found. She is most likely the face of a successful assassination plot. Those people did not die by accident, it was all part of the plan and now a cover-up. Susan Rice has been made the face of that plan.

There is a BIG difference between TESTIFYING and telling the TRUTH – Rice might testify, but she will never tell the truth. Rice knew she was peddling a LIE for obama – she will continue to cover obama’s azz no matter what – she cannot be trusted. Sure, ask her to testify – at her impeachment hearing.
