Egypt’s Prime Minister Hisham Kandil cried on Friday and kissed the dead child’s forehead, calling him a “martyr.” CNN called him “another victim of an [Israeli] airstrike.” Newspapers showed his photo as an example of the Palestinian civilians killed by Israel’s ongoing military campaign against militants in Gaza.

The only problem with that narrative is that 4-year-old Mahmoud Sadallah was killed by a Hamas rocket that fell short in Gaza instead of its intended target: Israel. According to an Israeli military statement Sunday, “Ninety-nine rockets fired from Gaza have crashed back into Gaza in the last four days. Hamas fires from civilian areas…and hits its own people.”

Pro-Israel blogger Elder of Ziyon reviewed media reports on the incident and wrote: “The IDF did not launch any airstrikes in Gaza while Egyptian PM Kandil was in Gaza.” Israel had agreed to a temporary ceasefire while Kandil was visiting Gaza on Friday, as a gesture to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi. Even so, terror groups continued firing on Israel during the diplomatic visit.

Elder of Ziyon pointed out that the Associated Press reported from Gaza that not only where there no eyewitnesses to the strike, no evidence remained onsite for examination. The AP said: “Israel vehemently denied involvement, saying it had not carried out any attacks in the area at the time” and that “…neighbors said local security officials quickly took what remained of the projectile, making it impossible to verify who fired it.”

The New York Times also visited the home and wrote:

…the damage was nowhere near severe enough to have come from an Israeli F-16, raising the possibility that an errant missile fired by Palestinian militants was responsible for the deaths.

And on Saturday night, the Telegraph reported:

The highly publicised death of four-year-old Mohammed Sadallah appeared to have been the result of a misfiring home-made rocket, not a bomb dropped by Israel.

But CNN correspondent Sara Sidner appears to have taken the family’s account at face value. She said, “Mahmoud quickly became a symbol of the war in Gaza.” Reporting from the site of the explosion, she said:

“While there were plenty of Hamas flags flying in this neighborhood, five hours after the attack, we saw no evidence here of military activity though it was impossible to look in every building.”

In a visit to the hospital on Friday, both the Egyptian and Hamas prime ministers used the boy’s death to denigrate Israel. The Telegraph reports Kandil was filmed lifting the dead boy out of an ambulance and said, “The boy, the martyr, whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about.”

Israel’s Channel 1 News on Saturday devoted a segment to discussing Sara Sidner’s CNN report, bringing in Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon to discuss the challenge Israel faces in bringing to the world not only its side of the story, but objective facts.

Every time there is a military/militant strike from one side or the other in the middle east the “rapture” people come out of the floorboards and claim, “This is it…this is it! Get ready for the rapture people then 7 years of SHTF!!”

The word “rapture” is not in Scripture and the “idea” of it is so vague just as is the “7 year tribulation”. It’s a doctrine or teaching based on pure conjecture.

In regards to this Israel and Hamas ordeal…..Every nation that surrounds Israel wants them dead, not in a figurative sense but a literal “kill them all” sense. Every man, women and child. Iran will use these moron terrorists to poke and poke Israel then when Israel defends herself they use it as propaganda against Israel as “overkill response” so as to get more sympathy for the poor little terrorist dogs. You cannot bargain at a peace table with people who’s only way to peace is to see you dead and just a memory.

Thee was a time in this country when the majority of citizens knew progaganda when they heard it. But since truning our public education over to the proressives and their unions, that day is long gone.

Now a majority of our citizens will believe anything they are fed from Washington DC, or the UN. I fear a long drop into chaos until this Nation can return to it’s founders vision.

Could this website be any more biased? It couldn’t be more transparent and predictable.
Let me guess — Israel is never to blame, the Palestinians are at fault; Republicans are never to blame, the Democrats are at fault. If your main source of news is The Blaze and Fox News you will have a very distorted view of world events. Do yourself a favor and locate a contrasting viewpoint somewhere else so that you do not get tunnel vision.

  Would you consider the liberal side truly “unbiased”? There’s plenty of idiots on all sides that will only give consideration to what they consider truth. So if your view is that Israel is wrong most likely you’ll want to read and listen to people that agree with your preconceived notions that yes…..Israel is wrong. Is Obama wrong? Yes he is so I will only listen to those who share that same thought.

How would anybody on this Site know the truth? Israel needs Palestine to look like the bad guy and Palestine need Israel to look like the bad guy. The truth is you all know what you know by reading main stream media and we all know how accurate that is. Maybe we should try to get some real unbiased reporters in there to get the truth or we should just **** out.

This is not about US support for the State of Israel, these lies are to gain support to convince the Sunni to turn with the Shia against the State of Israel. They need the State of Israel out of the way before the Arab United States can be declared… however it will Never happen.

God’s Word tells us that in the end days Israel will be hated by all nations – I would imagine that the media (and the blind humans who believe them) will be a big part of how this will happen.

i.e. Cnn claims “It’s Israel’s fault” and the world (blindly) believes them.

Yes the conflict involving Israel is warned about in Bible prophecy – the only way you could miss that is to not read the Bible at all. That is the main sign to look for in the end days – nations surrounding Israel calling for their destruction. Eh, hello?

I encourage all believers who subscribe to the ‘rapture’ theory, to please understand that the only rapture there will be will be when Jesus Himself returns. The “pre trib” rapture theory was created (concocted) by mankind.
Christians will have to go through the tribulation – don’t rely on mankind nor on the hundreds of “books” written (by mankind) that attempt to change God’s Word – the Holy Bible.

The world can, will and has changed since Jesus was last here on the planet – BUT God’s Word does not change. It would benefit us all to remember that.

Any country that will intentionally send rockets into another country to kill civilians will do anything , including killing its own, is about as low as you can get . God bless Isreal and its people . Where is the rest oo the world ? Where is the United States ???

In under 25 seconds CNN’s Sara Sinder reports (“another victum of an airstrike”). In under 1:30 (“another plane flies overhead”) Now that is some real non bias reporting. And you got that straight from the horses mouth.

CNN keeps on with false and fraudulent video, edited video and audio, this is not only shameful it is against FCC regulations and should be reported, not only by just me, which I have done, but EVERYONE sick of their lied fraud and deceit should file a complaint. CNN has stopped being a news agency a long time ago when they became a propaganda and blog machine for obama. Now they are in the pocket of terrorists, supporting terrorists. I encourage everyone to file complaints against CNN with the FCC. Evil eye, I assume you meant CNN reporting about what happened way back in Vietnam concerning our troops. Your sentence leaves the impression CNN was around during the Vietnam War, however CNN came on TV in 1980, many years after Vietnam.
