Michael Moore: ‘By Watching Fox News You Have De-Evolved’

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore on Friday charged that people who watch Fox News have actually “de-evolved.”

Appearing on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the conversation was about where conservatives turn for news.

“The real problem is Fox News,” Maher said. “It’s the way conservatives get their information. It’s Fox News, it’s Rush Limbaugh, it’s Drudge, it’s a thousand books by Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin…the problem is how they get their information.”

Moore responded, “But it’s not information. You’ve made that point before — and actually I think you’ve said on previous shows that people would actually be better off watching no news than watching Fox News because by watching Fox News you have de-evolved.”

Let me see if I understand what this moron is saying. Having the access to the truth has somehow De-Evolved people? If anything, by not watching fox news, the majority of people in this country have become even more stupefied, more ignorant of the truth, and even dumber that previously thought. By believing only what the so called main steam media tells you, you have only maybe half of the truth. If the people who voted for Obama actually knew the truth, at least half of them would not have voted for four more years of the same crap. This moron, with apologies to all morons around the world, is nothing but an over sized mouthpiece for the corrupt power hungry fools, who want to control this planet. Wake up people and realize what you have done. Obama will start showing his true colors soon, and then you might realize what you have done to this country. Their is another election in two years. Try to get an education on the truth before then.

  Considering all the “proof” of biological evolution they keep citing in the news is down-volution (loss of genetic information and potential for future adaptation; basically getting worse; decay), by their definition, “de-evolving” would be upvolution and therefore good. :P

  It all makes perfect sense. Progressives believe that the gov’t should control the content of the information that the subjects receive. They need to have total control in order to ‘pacify’ the population. They problem they have is primarily the 1st amendment (or the entire constitution for that matter). They also believe that Darwinian Progressivism allows society to evolve, so when people know the truth it makes sense that Progressives would refer to it as ‘De-evolving’. Evolving means conforming to central planning and becoming a subject.

  @HenryKnox, No, you really don’t understand the Liberal press or Liberals, for that matter. Fox is the one that has been caught, time and again, putting out “talking points” for the day, stories which are repeated every hour by every anchor. The problem is these “talking points” are incredibly slanted, to the point of lying or distortion. Fox viewers have been shown to be misinformed on multiple issues, and it isn’t just one survey at one point in time, it’s mulitple surveys over years now. The only time I have ever been kicked off a website was the ultra-conservative WND. I’ve also been threatened more for holding opposing views on sites like this than I have seen on Liberal sites.

  All media is propaganda,, the logical fallacy from Moore and Maher is that Fox viewers believe everything they hear from Fox and are de-evolved because of it. Conversely, consumers of other media are enlightened by the truth, HUH. False logic of course. A complete lack of critical thinking.
  
  They have created a false premise to fit an ideological conclusion..
  
  Conservatives are wrong and less evolved.. (because they don’t agree with us, we must find a reason)
  
  Therefore, they must be that way because they consume Fox news.
  
  A great example of how the “modern liberal” aka American Bolchevik mind works.. Arguments “logic” is backward engineered to fit an ideological preconception. Instead of using facts to draw a conclusion they use a conclusion to cherry pick supporting facts.. critical thought is replaced by ideological subversion which leads to enlightened despotism aka brainwashing.
  
  True conservatism (not Republicans) is the search for truth through critical thought, it is not an ideology. “Modern” liberalism is an ideology which searches for verification and confirmation by subverting critical thought. This is why you can’t logically argue with a “modern” liberal, they are incapable of critical thinking, instead they defend an ideology.

  aww gee..i’ll have to agree with Rose a bit on this one (it’s in my moniker) i bounce around the media & i do find that when fox, once it picks up a story ( Breaking News ) they tend to flood their day and sometimes week with their same ” talking points”..from.. F&F to Greta..and all during their shows they bring in tons of Experts on the subject of the day …not to say that msnbc doesn’t do the same but they do seem to do their own personal shows ..that being said,..remember, at this time we have a left-wing gov’t, & if we make it to 16 and we get a right-wing gov’t …well, we may see a

That socialized governments are great, while they make millions, and stop others form doing so. So 14% plus of unemployment among young black is acceptable .. Obama had 4 years to improve it and to date it has gotten worse.

  @Chromo200 When I have posted facts and figures, from respected universities and research groups like Pew and the Kaiser Family Foundation, I’ve been told my sources are biased or discredited. This is usually done by Fox viewers of Beck fans who post blog posts that have been cut and pasted and forwarded by other Rightwing blogs and Fox News, even after it’s been discredited.
  
  I know you will find this hard to understand, but most of the country looks on Benghazi as a tragedy for four Americans, but not a scandal. They see the Republicans in Congress as guilty of obstruction and sour grapes. And they don’t think the President is a Muslim or that he is hand holding with radical Muslims. On the subject, you know that almost all of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudis, don’t you? What do you say about George W. Bush kissing Saudi princes on the mouth and holding their hands? Just Google, there are pictures. The nation isn’t Communist, but there are some very good social programs that socialize the costs across s society, like defense and Medicare and Social Security. Why does Fox hate them? Why does Beck?
  
  Michael Moore and Bill Maher haven’t stopped anybody from getting rich, and have no problem with being rich. They’d just like to other people get rich, too. And they’d like to see the big corporations pay more of their fair share of taxes. I know you won’t believe anything I’ve said.   We don’t find it hard to understand what half the country thinks when that half believes only what they are told by the MSM. Benghazi was not simply the tragic death of four Americans. One of them was a U.S. Ambassador, or did you not know that? Half the country is unaware of the scandal because the MSM refuses to investigate. Most of what we know was discovered and first reported by FNC, but not repeated by the MSM. Those same ill-informed people think Republicans are obstructionists because the MSM refuses to report all the congressional bills that Harry Frickin’ “Reid has blocked. Rose, how many of those bills has Harry Reid passed in the past two years? How many has he blocked? Who is the obstructionist in the Senate?

  1 in 5 Americans smoke
  1 in 5 Americans die from smoking
  Roughly 50% of smokers die from smoking

  Clearly false — although surely you could find some self-described ‘Christians’ who know less than the average/some atheists/agnostics. There are always exceptions, but the key is that all atheists/agnostics by definition know less of the Bible than the informed Christians. :) For example, atheists often spot what at first glance seems like a contradiction, and assume that the only reason Christians haven’t seen it as one is that they haven’t noticed it, so they then leap to the conclusion that they’re more informed and go around “establishing” or parroting this hasty conclusion, when in fact Christians tend to understand that part -in context- and realize that it is not a contradiction.
  
  If someone claims that believers in a Flat Earth know more about Earth than those who believe Earth is a spheroid, would you believe that? Of course not. You know that it’s proven to be a spheroid, just as the Bible is essentially proven true. A FEer might know more -trivia- about Earth, but that’s not enough. They don’t understand the key details in the right context, just as atheists don’t about the Bible.

The old media outlets have been caught colluding with the Democrat Party, ignoring important news, faking news, covering up Democrat politician crimes, and telling blatant lies. In short, they are the propaganda ministry of the Democrat Party. FOX News exists because the old media abandoned the role of the free press.

  A friend gets all his news from NPR, NYT, PBS and when I mention things like Eliz Warren’s Affirmative Action scamming or the large areas in PA and OH that mysteriously recorded zero votes for Romney, he has no idea what I’m talking about because it’s never mentioned by those sources.

  Socialists have been moving towards criminalizing ideas which they deem offensive, and the PC movement dovetails nicely with this goal. It starts with coercion, then after most people are cowed into silence, ideas are classified as “hate crimes”. Look at the history of the “N” word. Mark Twain used it to fight racism, but he couldn’t write those classic books today without having his career ruined by those Socialists.
  
  If you physically assault someone, you’re punished and justly so. But if you blurt out certain trigger words while assaulting someone, you’re no longer just someone who committed a crime, you ARE the crime!
  
  Look at Global Warming. They’re now comfortable labeling skeptics as “dangerous” and equating them with Holocaust deniers. Denying the Holocaust is merely despicable in America, but its a felony punishable by prison time in some countries. How long before scientific skepticism is criminalized?

This is going to be the new Progressive battle cry…..FOX News bad….everyone else good. Sitting here watching TV this Sunday morning a Progressive Insurance commercial came on. It was the one were the guy is asking Fay…”what’s next? Defying the Laws of Gravity…and as he walks away she levitates. Her overweight, goofy co-worker (I believe to represent Conservatism) also levitates and looks as if he’s trying to swim and says..” I’m not going any were” to which Fay say’s “you don’t believe hard enough” the screen immediately goes to the word……”Progressive”. We have to be cognizant of this type of subliminal Progressive propaganda…am I the only person that say this in this commercial?

  Yes..the manmade religion of Christianity. Nothing quite as intellectually truthful and influential as wicca, gay sex or communism. Nothing manmade or ineffectual as these. What I love about liberal intellectuals like you is even when history and truth have been confirmed even by the nuts on the left, you brains will disavow it simply because……..you don’t like it.   Yes .. he is and has always been nothing but a spoiled brat .. I worked with people in A2 Michigan who knew him before he was “known” .. he never evolved so I don’t see the point in him calling others “de-evolved”.
