Republican Strategist: No More Ideas ‘Right Out of Rush Limbaugh’s Dream Journal’

It was only a matter of time, in the back and forth between various Republican armchair quarterbacks trying to explain the defeat of former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, that the name “Rush Limbaugh” would get dragged into the mix.

Limbaugh, who has been accused of being the “leader” of the Republican party at various points by liberals, and who has been a visible and influential presence within the GOP since President Obama’s inauguration, has vocally blamed Romney’s defeat on a Β coalition of “takers” backing the Democrats, in language that has been derided by some Republicans as politically unwise.

The derision of these Republican strategists toward this explanation was not explicitly linked with Limbaugh until today, when strategist Mike Murphy said on “Meet The Press” the GOP would have to implicitly reject Limbaugh’s approach if it wanted to ever win another victory again.

“It’s very fashionable now to beat up Romney, and he made an unfortunate comment after the election, but the biggest problem Mitt Romney had was the Republican primary,” Murphy said. “That’s what’s driving the Republican brand right now to a disaster, and we’ve got to get kind of a party view of America that’s not right out of Rush Limbaugh’s dream journal.”

Watch Murphy’s comments below, courtesy of Mediaite:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

I had a vision of a way we could have no enemies ever again, if you’re interested in this. Anybody interested in hearing this? It’s kind of an interesting theory, and all we have to do is make one decisive act and we can rid the world of all our enemies at once. Here’s what we do. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars. Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded … not one … we could as one race explore inner and outer space together in peace, forever.
-The immortal words of Bill Hicks! pipe dream I know.. but imagine if this was our foreign policy!

Tell me how it’s fair that those welfare bums get to have all of their needs provided for while not having to work while the rest of us have to work.

KEATONC…. Have you lived under a rock your whole life?
For many many years, Americans have been feeding and clothing the poor of the World. It’s not working. They just keep multiplying like rats and consuming more.

They just keep holding out their hands, expecting even more freebies. They become dependent on the freebies to the point that they think they are entitled to them.
Then when the freebies don’t flow frequently enough and fast enough, they become angry and turn on the American citizens.

Everyone wants peace, but not at the cost of letting Islam take over the World, and converting us all to Muslims, and living under Sharia Law.
I’m guessing you are already Muslim and have nothing to lose.

We do not spend trillions on defense. It is not possible to feed and clothe the world by one country or even the first world combined. keaton you mouth off like a silent filmstar. Enemies will exist at anytime you have hate or jealousy. You, keaton, have a lot and are a prime example why people who never give an inch can go over the cliff.
We have fewer carrier groups by 1/3, only 10 remain. Our sub fleet is down by over a hundred. Active duty and national guard tip of the spear is way down. The air force needs an infusion of war winning aircraft.
I am not talking about mobilization, but a managed elevation of preparedness. Russia is not our friend. China is not our friend. Many countries would enjoy our tumble. That does not mean they are enemies but they can profit from our inability to project confidence in power.
I used the word our, you’re a part of this equation. Unless Obama figures to heavily the support of those who votede for him he may well end up out of office.
Compromise by the those currently steering the White House is the first step in negotiation. The House of R (representatives) have already passes two budgets. This is where Obama should exercise domestic diplomacy in stead of being overseas. do not fear the fiscal cliff, I still have a part time job ans feel it is somewhat secure.

As long as you have something that someone else wants there will be people that want to TAKE it from you. You have it half right it is about giving, but you have to stop the takers. You have to have godly character, care and real concern for others, not be selfish. Agape love! Until this is so this truth will be, they know not the way of peace.
Look at history — One king sees what another has — he is fine , does not need what the other has — but he wants it, does he ask for it, would the other give it? — NO, He sees that he is stronger and believes he can TAKE it from the other with no concern for the other, which is exeactly what he tries to do, over and over and over this is the case and until this changes there will never be peace.
But there is a GOD that will soon sit on the throne of this world where now Satan sits swaying mankind to his ways. God has allotted time for man to learn the lesson that he cannot rule himself, which is what Adam asked for when he took of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, meaning he wanted to decide what is good and what is evil instead of God. How is that working out for us????????? God is coming soon to take His turn at bat and show us how it is done.
Now to those that do not love God, go ahead and show us that enmity that God said is in us because of the prince of the power of the air who broadcasts his nature and attitude, are you tuned into his channel of hate and selfishness, and all other bad attitudes?

What is strange to me is, these people do not get the “Truth” of the statements made!!!
There were 32 million on food stamps, when Obama came into office, now 50 million.
Set aside the 18 million, and look at the 32 million, “How long have they been living on the government handouts?” And that is not the only handout most of them are getting. They also receive welfare, medicaid, housing allowance, free schooling, etc. So, you tell me, if it were all totaled up, they would be in the upper middle class, as far as taxes, and yet, they pay none, and get child tax credits at tax time. Utopia for them???

Wow, I’d like to have some of what you have just been smoking! You are an absolute FOOL if you think such a grand plan would ever have any success. For just one example I would suggest that you look at the recent history of just Zimbabwe. In the last 15 years it has gone from a major food exporter to a major food importer. At one point just three years ago it was sent several large ships full of grain for the starving people. The bureaucrats took control of it in port and levied such high fee’s on the grain that they could not be paid. The food literally sat on the ships and rotted. How’s that for feeding the hungry?

You must come to the REALIZATION that the world is FULL of very EVIL people that only care about themselves. They could care less if even their own neighbors are starving. How is your utopian plan going to deal with these heartless, cruel, self centered thugs around the world. GROW up and do some serious research before you start spouting off about utopian dreams!

Pull your head out of the sand (or wherever you have it) and face reality. Throughout history, there has been one thing that has remained constant and unchanging: human nature. Ironically, that’s the thing that liberal dreamers always want to ignore. Within the human race, there will always be violence, egomania, intolerance and tyranny. Feeding and clothing people won’t get rid of that, nor will it change the frailties of human nature.

I’d rather use those military spending cuts to go towards erasing the deficit.

I’m not saying we should gut the military, but we seriously need to audit the Department of Defense. I don’t know if there’s still “million-dollar hammers”, but while the Constitution does authorize spending for armed forces, we can’t be cutting entitlement programs (like we should) while jacking up military spending. Like it or not, we’d look like Stalin at that point. Get our budget in order first, THEN we can talk about more $$$ to the Pentagon.

Satan will no go along willingly that is why A strong angel with a spirtual chain will shut him up for a thousand years, the sabbath millenium, a rest from his influence upon mankind. But even before this he will once again assault God on his throne, and once again he will be slapped back to earth like lightning. and when he return he will be FULL OF WRATH because he know his time is short, then will begin the worst time on earth so that there will be none like it, the time of Jacobs trouble. 2 1/2 years of his wrath and then the a year of God’s wrath upon a still unrepentant mankind. Satan’s tool for his wrath will be the ressurected holy roman empire, Islam’s jihad will be nothing compared to this. Satan will be put away and God will usher in peace. But 90% of the earth’s population will have died before this happens though. The best thing anyone can do is get right with the winning side now while it is not too late.

      =============================================
Hey WOWJUSTWOW, you sound like a feminist or a NAG (National Association of Gals).
I never said it was my business if a woman has an abortion or not. I WILL say that if a woman uses TAX money, then it is ALL the taxpayer’s business. It also becomes the government’s business at that point, (tax money, again.)
If a woman pays for her own abortion, then it is nobody’s business, however, I DO believe it is murder.
When does life begin? That is not an answer I will pretend to know, but I find it ironic that doctors and nurses take a pulse to find out if a person is alive or dead, so let’s say when the baby has a heartbeat.
From the tone of your post, I would say that you are either a feminist or a NAG (National Association of Gals.)
Lastly, I never said I owned any woman’s freedom over her body, nor do I own ANY women. I WILL say that a baby is not a part of a woman’s body, as it has different DNA than the mother, and you cannot argue that it is. Science is on my side on that one.
You are taking some giant leaps of logic. Try using you brain, instead of your feelings, before you begin an argument, please?

      Keaton, you’re an idiot!

It doesn’t really matter who we elect as president at this time. The rhino republicans compromise w/the democrats and the government grows. The democrats compromise w/no one and the govt grows.

The only thing that continues to happen is the govt grows and the people get poorer and dependent on govt. Only the govt connected expand their wealth and the few that are in control of the govt rule over the rest. The masses share in misery. History continues to repeat itself as those who take outnumber the producers which leads to a downward spiral economically and morally.

Jefferson and Hamilton rarely agreed, but they did on the following: “When the voters recognize that the public treasury has become a public trough, they will send to Washington not persons who will promote self-reliance and foster an atmosphere of prosperity, but rather those who will give away the most cash and thereby create dependency.”

The law of economics (not Keynesian govt propaganda) is rapidly bringing doom to our country because the divisive and parasitic politicians won’t bring the change that is necessary.

Most of America views Limbaugh as a racist and a sexist. He essentially admits to both.
He supports every Republican and every Republican refuses to call him on his hateful rants.
Many moderates will not vote for the party of Limbaugh.
He’ll spend 4 years ranting about Obama, bullying Hillary, and mocking anyone who ever voted for either. Women and blacks and hispanics will crush the GOP again in 2016, and they aren’t going away. The base loves him, the party is stuck with him, far-right politics have lost the popular vote in 5 of the 6 elections since Rush went national, and the Democrats are going to run Hillary and Castro in 2016 and 2020. The GOP’s problem is not a small one.

The problem isn’t Rush, The TEA Party or Mitt Romney. Romney’s loss was due to an uninformed electorate and the RNC’s and Romney Campaign’s failure to inform them. Obama could have defeated Obama FOR Romney if the ads just showed Obama himself saying that he ultimately wants a single payer health care system, that he opposes gun ownership, that you can open a coal mine but you’re going to go bankrupt, that under his plan electricity prices would sky rocket, that he wants to redistribute the wealth and then show that woman talking about the Obama phone! Then ROmney would come on and explain that the founders DID say that it doesn’t matter who you are, you can be successful in America, but it’s because our government was designed to STAY OUT OF THE WAY and protect our liberty! We have gone WAY too far from that design and THAT is our problem!

The GOP would try again to infiltrate and subvert it, this must be stopped. Then there is all of the LIES about the Tea Party that the media has used to cause so much damage in the minds of people that are already stupid enough to vote for Bammy, this would be hard to overcome, to quote Theoden from the LOTR, what can men do against such reckless hate. But I think that PARTIES should be eliminated, I mean It is silly to just have two options that are both screwed up to the extreme, but that is the way the bankster elites would have it. You liberals are absolutely famous for jumping the gun. Conservatism didn’t lose. Romney and the RINOS lost. There were so many Republicans who chose not to vote because they are tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. The rest of us who weren’t part of the original 25% that supported him were holding our noses when we went to the polls.

Ok, just to be fare, you got your little “president” back in the White House, but you maintained majority in the Senate, lost more seats in the House, and lost governorships.

Chic-fil-A Day was a smashing success compared to your…uh…what did you call it? A sit in? Or kiss in? Well, it doesn’t matter. And at the end of the day, Scott Walker STILL won the recall! Not only that. He’s been rewarded with a Republican majority in both houses of state congress! Woohoo! Pastors have come out of the closet and told the IRS where to stick their threats. Conservatives in entertainment are becoming more vocal and using their talents to promote pro-American films. And lets not forget out beloved son, James O’Keefe.

Conservatism is not dead. But the Republican Party may be. Truth is, us conservatives really don’t need them anymore. And we have enough people to start breaking the liberal agenda down, that it’s demise is only a matter of time. Besides that, we have God on our side.

Amen! Filthy liars every one. But they are becoming less and less relevant–that’s why they’re attacking Limbaugh, and that’s why they’re attacking the Tea Party. Who in the Republican Party lost their seats in this election? The liberal or big-government RINO’s. Who made significant gains? The so-called “Tea-Party favorites”. The only exception is Allen West, who thanks to the idiot GOP leaders had to fight against his own party trying to Gerrymander him out of office on top of the shameless fraud by the left.

We are gradually winning, but we need to turn up the heat big-time on the GOP. We need to trash the current leadership, knock them out of power, and increase our support of true conservatived ten-fold. The RINOs’ failures in this last election leave us very little time to complete the reapture of our party.

The GOP can continue being anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, anti-women, anti-illegal immigration, pro-rich people, and anti-freedom for people and the GOP will lose the next election by even a bigger margin. Maybe you might want to talk to GOP leaders and tell them to stop telling women they can’t get abortions even in the case of rape. Maybe you want to stop electing complete idiots like McCain and Romney as the nominee. Just a thought, but do whatever you want.

      Omega Patriots Arise!

Those who defecate upon the declaration and constitution are in power in Washington, and now the RINOs are coming after us too.

      Lock and load. Be ready.

If you have to be pro-baby death, anti-marriage, anti-personal sexual responsibility, anti-sovereignty, anti-investment, anti-anarchy to win in a country, it is not a country that will stand much longer as a nation.

Yes, great idea. Maybe republicans can disguise them selfs as democrat socialists and get elected out of the confusion.

I thought that’s what they’re doing now. For anyone that disagrees… name the last ‘conservative’ legislation passed.

No problem Murphy and Gutierrez, you won’t miss my one little vote since you’ll be gaining sooooo many others. Good luck with that!

Keaton – I know that you Marxists can’t stand to hear people believing in God since God gets in way of people worshipping the state.
