SNL: The Real Chris Christie Shows Up to Not Thank ‘Stupid Mayors’ or the Reporters Who Stood Outside During Sandy

The Real Chris Christie Shows Up on SNL

NBC

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie stopped by “Saturday Night Live” to discuss the ongoing cleanup efforts from Hurricane Sandy — and also to not thank “stupid mayors” who ignored his evacuation orders or the reporters who stood outside in the storm.

Christie, in his now-iconic “governor” fleece, had kind words for the Red Cross, first responders and for his wife “who put up with a husband who has smelled like a wet fleece for the past three weeks.”

“I do not thank any of the stupid mayors who ignored my evacuation orders, they’re idiots!” Christie said, a reference to his run-in with the mayor of Atlantic City.

“I also do not want to thank the reporters that put themselves in danger, you know, by walking into the middle of the hurricane with their cameras,” he continued. “We don’t need you to tell us there’s a hurricane. We have windows.”

CNN’s Ali Velshi earned criticism for standing out in the middle of an increasingly rising street and getting buffeted by the wind and rain for hours on end.

“Finally, I do not want to thank the people who are getting in screaming matches at gas stations over the long lines,” Christie said. “I get it, screaming at people in gas stations is a New Jersey tradition, but don’t do it during a crisis. There’ll be plenty of time for yelling once this is all over.”

Christie closed with quoting from a “famous New Jersey poet” — rocker Bruce Sprinsteen — to which SNL’s Seth Myers said he wasn’t sure he’d classify Springsteen as a poet.

“You’re right, he’s more of a saint,” Christie said.

Christie may have hinted about the surprise appearance on Friday, when he told a reporter he wasn’t answering a question about the maker of Twinkies going out of business because, “I’m on Saturday Night Live enough.”

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Chris Christie is one of the biggest self promoters out there. The only politician who is a bigger self promoter is Obama. And Bruce Springsteen? You want to thank that bourgeois a-hole? The guy who campaigns for Obama and then creates a tax shelter to avoid paying taxes? That hypocrite Springsteen? He owns a couple of hundred of acres in New Jersey and should be paying like $25,000 in property taxes each year, but he put honeybees on the land so he only pays around $200 in property taxes each year. He’s out there with Obama saying the rich need to pay more, but he’s looking for every way to get out of paying his own fair share. I can’t stand Bruce Springsteen or Jon Bon Jovi. I used to like Jon til he was campaigning this year for Obama. I hate about 99% of the celebrities out there.

Bruce Springsteen, reputed wife beater and the man who depicted himself uninating on the Flag on his “Born in the USA” cover, is not a saint by any stretch of the imagination, and to say it, even as a joke, is not funny. I don’t think Christie was joking.

Some of you people have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a Governor is supposed to do. A good one represents everyone in his or her state (even the ones that didn’t vote for him). The reason most of you don’t like the President is because he only represents those that help him. Gov. Christie was nice to the President to get as much disaster relief money as he could get for his state. That makes him a great Governor. Most of you wouldn’t know a rino if it was giving you a colonoscopy with its horn.

I think if Liberals embrace Christie thinking he is an asset to them, they have just rolled a Trojan horse through their gates. He often comes off looking like a liberal, but when you look at his actions (busting unions, balancing budgets, etc) they speak of a different mindset.

He endorsed Romney early on, but when it really mattered ended up helping to sink Romney at the end with his embrace of BO. He might as well just go be a democrat now. I’d rather have him than Warren Buffett’s choice, Hillary, since Republicans are so feckless now.

Christie endorsed Romney only because he himself was the top spot for VP pick. Then when his fat behind was late for too many meetings and was dropped in favor of Ryan, you saw how he turned. The first sign was his keynote address at the GOP convention. It was all about him. Then came his infamous, over-the-top embrace of Obama during the storm while dissing Romney quite publically. Sorry, Christie Creams… we don’t need another narcissist. We already have one in the WH.

Romney deserved it. Christie’s appetite for the camera is becoming irrelevant & redundant.

Truly, America’s appetite for Christie’s bombastic style is fading fast.
Hold the sour cream & sarcasm-
Christie is the perfect example of one whose personal characteristics
are morphing into another far worse, uncontrollable caricature.

All is lost when these public servants fall into the sinkhole
or step on the stage of celebrity
“Worship” them in your home, at personal gatherings,
    with your Ipod or dvd
but leave the puckering-up, azz-kissing out of the public eye.

There is a fine line between a sense of humor & a sense of dignity.
Oblameo, Christie, KarTrashiams & Honey Boo-Boo-
public SERVANTS & public IDIOTS entwined ?

The world is a mess & all these public servants CRAVE to be “performers”-
separate yourself from the social fric-frac & do your effin’ job !

Nobody cares if you listen to Skidmarks Springsteen or the Cowsills.
Nobody cares if you’re on Saturday Night Live or Stephen Colbert,
    nobody-
whose intelligence & concern for the country
overrides your juvenile, teenybopper sense of importance.

    Some things just AREN’t funny
and Christie’s obsessive, childish behavior is one of them.
    He’s self imploding………STAND BACK !

I was thinking at the time “PLEASE DON’T!” We don’t need a self- combustible guy in the White House. I can’t believe they thought he would make a good Pres. D.C., The White House, the Capitol, the DNC & RNC, government on all levels
      are full of Judas characters.

Turn your back, look away or disagree & prepare to be fooled & flogged-
Judas Christie has lots of bravado & ambition
      but completely devoid of loyalty.

      All of that two-timing, face-sucking
cancelled out any good intention & productivity,
of which he was originally lauded.
