Is This a Picture of Mitt Romney Pumping His Own Gas?

A curious picture has popped up on the viral website Reddit. There, a user posted a photo of a man who looks a lot like Mitt Romney pumping his own gas.

“Mitt Romney at my local gas station.. he looks tired and washed up,” the headline says:

Picture on Reddit Says It Shows Mitt Romney Pumping Gas

Photo: Reddit user mkb95

So far there’s no confirmation that it’s actually Romney — and it could be the user simply posted the picture of a look-alike as a joke. But for what it’s worth, the user does offer this tidbit:

I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank. I guess he’s moving to one of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla.

Romney does, in fact, have a house in La Jolla, CA. You might remember it was the topic of those trash collector attacks on him.

By the way, the user also noted that the man did not have any security with him and that posting the picture “was definitely not a negatively inspired post, I just thought it would interest some of you.”

UPDATE:

Business Insider posted another picture from Twitter user @thegirlss who also claims to have snapped a photo of Romney at the same gas station:

Additionally, the Union-Tribune in San Diego did note Mitt was in town this weekend:

Mitt and Ann Romney were back in town this weekend. The GOP’s presidential candidate and his wife were seen quietly dining at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza restaurant in Del Mar Highlands Town Center mall (see photos on U-T website). They reportedly viewed Twilight Saga’s “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” at the upscale Cinepolis theater complex there.
While at Sammy’s, Romney graciously posed with Sammy’s Manager Areen Yuson and employees Caitlyn Schmit and Jerica Maciel.

Little evidence of their return was visible at their oceanfront home in La Jolla’s quiet Lower Hermosa area, however. This time, no barricades were up and no black SUVs stood vigil, much to the relief, no doubt, of neighbors who had been inconvenienced by past security measures.

And others nabbed pictures of him while he was around the area.

So with all that said, what do you think?

Romney is very real. I’ve followed him for years. He and his boys get out and cut down trees and they do their own clean up. The man actually cooks which most men refused to do. They may have a lot of money but they are normal people. They don’t have maids and butlers like the democrats tried to betray him. Proverbs, how on earth can you see (or not see) if he’s wearing a wedding ring in either of these pictures? I can’t see either of his hands well enough to make that determination. It’s also not uncommon at the end of a long day to have your pants and shirt look less than freshly pressed. After a campaign cycle, to be frank, I’d probably want to just disappear and hide away from the world for awhile without having to worry about a perfectly manicured appearance at every turn. As for no security – I doubt the man will spend the rest of his life with a security detail.

All that said, what clinched it for me, to be honest, is the expression on his face in the second picture. THAT is a Mitt expression through and through.

What I find hilarious is that so many people would be shell-shocked that Mitt Romney would, GASP, pump his own gas. There are photos galore of him doing manual labor, even if no one wants to admit that. He’s just a man, after all.

Now, BamBam, on the other hand… I’m fairly certain that commie, elitist, entitled snob wouldn’t know how to operate a gas pump if his life depended on it.

Then he’ll get sucked through a dimensional vortex and end up back in the days of King Authur, where he’ll defeat himself in a grand battle.

GOD BLESS MITT/ANN/THEIR FAMILY … He KNOWS he is not a loser, he feels badly for AMERICA. PS Most people with REAL money don’t need to dress up to go to the gas station – most old money, real money folks prefer to do their own chores and get about their day..only the phony wanna bes (like NEWT ) use up a $ 500,000 line of credit with Tiffanys. @ REALITY_BITES ETC. Wow…how have you lived long enough to be able to use a Computer and now know about GOD? HE is not a puppet master, dude, He is our CREATOR ! HE gave us FREEDOM of CHOICE. WE misuse that freedom; we elect a Communist; we allow voting fraud; and now we have to live with the consequences. Some of us didn’t vote. Some people who call themselves RELIGIOUS didn’t bother to come out of their homes and cast their ballots. WE all live with that. FOR those of us who LOVE GOD and TRUST HIM, we KNOW that whatever happens, HE will work ALL THINGS FOR GOOD for THOSE WHO LOVE GOD (Romans 8:28).
IF AMERICANS have to have our freedom taken away; stumble and fall; learn what hunger is; fail; then so be it. Maybe next time we’ll make better choices. Whatever happens I KNOW that it will end up okay for me and mine and all who know GOD. I have no idea what people who don’t know GOD must think or go through..no redemption; no hope; nothing. Must be awful – but that’s what stubborn pride will do to you. MITT and ANN are GODLY people, while I’m sure it makes them sad that AMERICAN have thrown away the benefits of having them in the WH, they will be and are just fine. HOW does anyone get to know the real GOD? They get off by themselves and simply ASK HIM to ‘speak to them’ to ‘lead them to Him’. That’s how “simple” it is, dude.

I agree Gonzo. The Obama media tried to make it seem like Mitt would never pump his own gas-that he had some one to do that for him. The reason that Mitt lost the election was the media. He is an honorable man.

Vote fraud, the perfect crime. No one can prove it in time to effect the outcome and it’s never prosecuted, nothing but upside for the perpetrator. Our election system is probably the worst in the world. Will it get fixed, fat chance.corrupting that system is the life’s work of people like George Soros.

Oregon is the only state that I know of that will not allow you to pump your own gas. Deposed hippies man the pumps in that state.

So what, back in the 80′s I saw Bill Gates pumping gas into his rental car. BFD.

Yes, and I’m so thankful I don’t have to get out of my car in all kinds of weather to pump gas into my car. I like the fact that gas stations still provide employment for people in Oregon too, instead of saving those dollars by making you all do your own. Gas is cheaper here than in California and Washington as well.

What staggers me is not that he is pumping his own gas, but the look of devastation on his face — look at his eyes. Absolute, total betrayal of a man by his own “party”. That’s at least FIVE GOOD MEN AMERICA has sacrificed in a month’s time (or less) not counting ALL the military we have lost in senseless wars during the same time.

Anyone out there doubt for a minute that satan is in control of our country (in leadership positions)?

GOD, good morning, from YOUR kids down here. LORD, we surely hope YOU are coming soon and / or will cut us loose to take care of business. Hope that didn’t make YOU blow coffee through YOUR nose this a.m., but things are getting really bad down here, LORD, esp. in ISRAEL. We could surely use some DIVINE INTERVENTION from YOU. The other guy, YOUR enemy has been intervening way too much. Time for his “time out”.

We love you, LORD. Sure be good to see YOUR face, GOD. In JESUS’ name, amen.

Romney’s run meant more for us than for him. It is harder for the rest of us to weather the storm. He can go Jim Rogers on us faster than we could.

Jim Rogers is over in Singapore weathering the tax sh/tstorm. Meanwhile the rest of us have to put up with the machination of election savvy but economic morons.

GRANDMA – there is still a way to change the election result. If 1/3 of the States do not cast their vote in the Electoral College then the vote goes to the House of Representatives. See the details. There are enough RED States to do this.
