Just How Outmatched Is Hamas in Its Fight Against Israel? According to This Infographic, Overwhelmingly
Israel and Gaza’s Hamas rulers traded more fire and tough cease-fire proposals Monday, and threatened to escalate their border conflict if diplomacy fails. No deal appeared near. Additionally, reports of 75,000 Israeli reservists being called up for a possible ground invasion of Gaza have only made the situation more tense over the past few of days.
As things continue to escalate between Israel and Gaza’s Hamas leaders, this infographic from the Jerusalem Fund, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit that seeks to “give voice to the Palestinian narrative,” displays how outmatched the militant Palestinian groups in Gaza really are when it comes to firepower and manpower.
For an enlargeable image, click here.
While Israel has Hamas in Gaza dead to rights when it comes to military strength, the U.S. State Department designated the group as a terrorist organization for a reason — the group is still a violent and dangerous force in the region.

So, when you have a persistent armed insurgency in your country that is actually a proxy war with the real enemy, Iran, you put it down immediately, and in no uncertain terms. Wars are not fair, nor are they some kind of game. Wars are fought by hitting your enemy with overwhelming force so that they capitulate and then you stop hitting them and restore peace. As long as Hamas is willing to play sock-puppet for Iran, they can expect to be under massive government retaliation in their own back yards.

Amazing how Israel took out the Hamas leader in the middle of an intersection with other vehicles and people meandering around and yet no one but the intended target got injured or killed. Watch the video.
It is the same ploy that has been used time and time again to sway the mentally challenged. It is even being used by Syrian Terrorist. They fire rockets into Turkey and Turkey blames the Syrian Military and responds with artillery on Syrian military positions. Hamas kills their own people and blames Israel.

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 6:34pm@Vanceuppercut have they proven and confirmed that story? How many of the dead where Hamas and why did the Hamas members knowingly put them in danger by using that house for terrorist activities? Hamas put civilians in danger all the time because in there words, they love death more than Israeli’s love life. They would sacrifice who ever they need to as many innocent people as they have to to strike a blow at Israel. Notice this according to Palestine 111 people are dead so far, even thought most certainly those numbers are bloated, lets look at the other side, over 800 rockets have been fired into Israel just since this offense started, not at military targets but into civilians, if you shoot a man with a bullet proof vest its still attempted murder, so lets just imagine how many would have died without the Iron Dome? Let’s just assume 1/2 of the rockets hit targets that would mean more than 400 people could have been killed just on a low end figure. So that would be a a 4 to 1 ratio and the majority of the “111″ would be terrorists. Hamas are evil, and Palestine has done nothing to stop them, even knowingly helping them. Where is the outrage that they knowingly made put there own people in harms way by doing so. That would be like the hostage of a gunman getting made at the policemen for trying to stop the gunmen from killing people, all while knowing that the hostage would probably rather see the policemen dead than the the one holding them hostage, pure insanity.

Thins about this; what would this situation would look like if Hamas had the same weapons that the IDF has, hmm? Thus, you can now understand Hamas’ truce stipulation that the naval blockade of Gaza be dropped. The question is the same as it has always been “does the state of Israel have the right to exist?” and we know what answer 80%+ of Middle East Muslims will give to that question. There is no solution short of a hard-line doctrine of “Peace Through Superior Firepower”, it works!

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 3:55pmTo an extent, the restraint is part of the problem. Hamas is able to have its full force concentrate on attacking while they need not worry about defense. Every launch site must be destroyed no matter how many people are killed. Letting them use human shields is making them stronger. The number of innocent people is exaggerated. Once they know that setting up a launch site would mean instant and non proportional retaliation, they become less likely to go along with it. You can not have a civilized war, it only prolongs the war.

Are they going to go in on the ground for the sake of public relations? It doesn’t matter what Israel does the Middle Eastern countries will continue to hate them. There is no possible PR victory in this skirmish….air strikes using tactical nukes would end this in a few short days.
Yes, there would be a lot of collateral damage….but war is hell.
If Hamas loves death more than than Israel loves life….send them to their death but don’t suffer hundreds of lost Israeli lives to do it.
I suspect the white flags will start coming out when Israel starts raining down tactical nukes on them….I doubt that they love death as much as they’d like the world to believe. If they actually do…keep raining down on them until every last one of them is dead….there problem solved.

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 3:36amThe important point to remember here is that israel’s enemy is not Hamas, as such, it is the Muslim Brotherhood.
If the MB can marshal the forces of the countries where it is taking control, and if Turkey can find their way into the fight (as they so desperately want to do) then Israel has a serious problem.
Turkey has the sixth largest military in the world, after the UK in fifth place. At the moment, Turkey is constrained from entering the fray because of its NATO membership. If it were to do so, then it well find itself in serious difficulty with her erstwhile NATO allies.
But even leaving Turkey out, the problems are considerable. Should this local skirmish turn in to a hot war, it will need to be before the MB can organise the nations newly under its control. Fortunately, that presents some immediate problems for them, but it is only a matter of time.

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 4:02amHamas has been in the past an Iranian proxy. The brotherhood and Iran are most likely vying for the same power in the region. Probably some collusion but make no mistake both want control of the region. This, of course, is the real reason Iran wants nukes. Ounce they’re officially in the club they will dominate other Islamic nations in the region. As that is solidified, Israel will be pushed into the sea eventually through constant and draining attrition. They are not stupid enough to actually fire on Israel. This would mean the end for both. They would much rather win without firing any missiles and sadly it’s possible. Don’t forget the Persians invented chess. Right now, hamas hopes Israel will strike with great force so they can win a propaganda battle.
So far Hamas is just disappearing and not winning any propaganda battle. We shall see…

I agree with much of what you say.
It is interesting to note that Saudi Arabia is greatly concerned, for personal security reasons, about Iran’s determination to acquire military nuclear hardware. This is why they encouraged and supported the sanctions on that country
It was the same with Iraq. Saddam’s clear territorial ambitions scared the House of Saud badly and they were quick to yelp for assistance from the west. They were very prompt in providing non-military assistance in both Iraqi wars.
That was then, as they say, and this is now.
The Saudis, not wishing to get their hands dirty, are providing the Muslim Brotherhood with considerable financial support, as are the Qataris. In addition to this, the House of Saud is using its international political clout, derived from its massive oil reserves and petrodollars, to maneuvre other nations into tangentally assisting this ugly organisation.
Although I have no specific evidence, this is how I believe that the US naively became enmeshed in the Syrian gun-running affair that ended so tragically. I do have evidence to show that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the USA were directly responsible for the shipping of arms through Turkey to the Syrian “rebels”, over 90% of whom are MB and al-Qaeda imports.
I think that Saudi Arabia believes that it can control the Brotherhood into the future, and is using this brutish mob to gain control of the entire region.
But Israel is a problem – as well as the bai

In each case, given the political will, the larger high tech military will always prevail. But the key phrase is “political will.” Given the green light the IDF could turn Gaza into a smoking trench along the beach. But that won’t happen. While many Israelis are all for it, as may be much of the non-muslim world, the politicians are not, the media is not and the UN is not. Most importantly, in the present international climate…the US is not. As a people we statistically support Israel, our administration does not. Alas, the jihadis will never beat Israel in a straight up war, but with the help of the media and the jew hating world they will keep giving them black eyes, busted knuckles and occasionally a broken nose. Plus a ruthlessness to survive it comes down to that. They are willing to die to protect others, and willing to kill to live. They not only have advanced weapons but will also use the same tactics as guerilla warfare. The “pal” use similar tactics as well, some may have home team advantage as well, but field mainly by genocidal hate, but outmatched. Also as they have proven they are more concerned with death (and want to be killed in battle for the afterlife). So on mentality and willingness to fight they probably equal. If forced into it Israel had no limits to the use of their weapons and will fight as guerrillas as need be as well. Israelis will also use IEDs if the need arises as well, they ate not usually the ones to restrict themselves to only a single type of warfare.
Russians on contrary were recruits from territories hundreds of miles away, with no personal attachment to the region. They didn’t adapt to the condition or style of fighting. They had very little reason to out their all into fighting in the region.

And who stands with Israel?
A prophecy, September 21, 1977: “We have told you before, of the Black September….We told you before, unless the Eagle [U. S. A.] spread its wings and did protect — we say unto you that as the Eagle gives away its land, as the Eagle ceases to protect Israel, then woe be man.”
This is not about political correctness or fairness, but part of a larger plan for worldwide domination by a Caliphate, and the end of our Western Civilization.
A prophecy, November 6, 1973: “In the land of Israel, in the land of our Father’s servants, unto whom our Father made known Himself, there shall lay forth the struggle for the freedom of the Earth. And all the nations shall turn against her, and call her whore. Yet, hers is a holy battle of cause. And from her shall come forth this new Prophet.
If the Eagle does not now stand and coveth her with her wings, your land shall fall barren. And yet again, the war of Armageddon is close at hand. We came forth in an effort that this day should not come upon your Earth. Yet, so it has been.”

Muslim Brotherhood May Be Ready to Send Egyptian Jihadists into Israel
During Israel’s War of Independence, the Muslim Brotherhood invaded Israel with a sizable number of fighters and heavy weapons, but were balked by a handful of farmers fighting to protect their towns. But apparently the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is discussing doing to Israel what they are already doing to Syria.
Saber Abul Fotouh, a member of the High Commission for the ruling Freedom and Justice Party, which is the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, said that their “youth group†are poised to join the jihad in Gaza “with our Palestinian brothers in their war against the brutal Zionist aggression.â€
Aboul Fotouh told the newspaper that they wish to issue such a decision, adding that if a decision would be made to join the jihad, “there will be hundreds in our community [willing to go to] Palestine to help our brothers there, and stand on their side.â€
Sources said that a number of young Muslim Brotherhood members already traveled to Gaza in order to support Palestinian Arabs in their war against Israel, but this was denied by Aboul Fotouh, saying they have not received orders from the group so far to travel to Gaza – but they hope so.
However, he stressed that Hamas is not in need of members to support it because it has the best fighters in the world, saying that their first duty

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 12:25amIsrael cannot win. If Israel invades Gaza, the U.N. will send in peacekeepers. The U.N. will negotiate a ceasefire and create a state of Palestine at the 1967 borders. The new state of Palestine will become a staging area for a full-scale war to exterminate Israel. Barack HUSSEIN Obama will instruct ambassador Rice to not use the US veto power in the UN.

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 12:25amI’m appalled that the American media is creating this “David vs Goliath” narrative which is attempting to sway public opinion toward sympathizing with Hamas. We know that this terrorist organization vows to eliminate the state of Israel and they are supported by the Islamists in Iran, Egypt, and Sudan. Israel is in a “no-win” position from a public perception point of view. Israel will get little or no support from the American government (who sells them military equipment replacement parts) so their goal has to be formulated strictly using a survival attack model which will at least insure their nation’s security if only temporary in nature.

Israel could crush them in an instant if it chose to do so. However, Israel has a conscience that islamists refuse to have.

Posted on November 20, 2012 at 12:22amYou got it! And Hamas doesn’t feel as though they are overwhelmingly overpowered because they listen to their puppet-masters in Iran who tell them that Israel has no right to survive. The shame of this is that many naive unsuspecting ignorant people are following a few dangerously evil people that hope to bring about the end of the world. Here in the United States we sit back and watch the ticker style news because our own ignorant, naive, unsuspecting populous are all too willing to follow our leaders as they do nothing, which in its own right perpetuates evil.
