Koran-Burning Pastor Terry Jones Tells TheBlaze About a New Anti-Islam Film Set to Portray Muhammad as a ‘Child Molester, Assassin & Self-Proclaimed Prophet’

Terry Jones, the controversial Florida-based pastor best known for burning the Koran and purportedly inciting violence in the Middle East, has partnered with en ex-Muslim named Imran Firasat to produce a new film called, “The Innocent Prophet.” The controversial faith leader spoke to TheBlaze about the project — a movie that holds the potential to infuriate Islamist groups across the globe.

The film’s name may sound familiar. Following radicals’ attacks on U.S. interests on September 11 of this year, the trailer for a separate movie called “The Innocence of Muslims” made international headlines. The spoof, which poked fun at the Prophet Muhammad’s life, sparked furor and was blamed for anti-American violence and sentiment across the Middle East and Northern Africa.

No  “The Innocent Prophet,” which a press release from Stand Up America — Jones’ organization — claims is “about the life of the Prophet Muhammad,” is slated for release next month. Of course, it’s no coincidence that the name and purpose of the film mirrors that of “Innocence of Muslims,” especially considering that Jones was a supporter of the first film.

In an interview with TheBlaze, the controversial faith leader admitted that the movie — one that some U.S. officials falsely blamed for Americans’ deaths in Libya — was an inspiration for his new project.

“‘The Innocent Prophet’ brings an association to the ‘Innocence of Muslims,’” he said, going so far as to call the new film “a follow-up.”

That said, Jones told TheBlaze that the new movie will differ greatly from the original. While he admitted never viewing “Innocence of Muslims” in its entirety, based on the trailer he concluded that it “was a satire.” In contrast, “The Innocent Prophet” will be presented in a more “sober, factual movie form.”

Contrary to what many might expect, Jones spoke in a calm and collected tone, conversationally explaining how he came to embrace the new project. He said that Firasat approached Stand Up America “a few months ago” and sought out his group’s support.

Jones described the man as an ex-Muslim, now a Spanish citizen, who was originally from Pakistan. Today, he’s a Christian who apparently seeks to warn Muslims and non-Muslims, alike, about the purported dangers associated with the faith. Jones said that Firasat is making “The Innocent Prophet” mostly on his own, but that Stand Up America is involved in helping him piece it together and approving content.

The two plan to hold a joint press conference on Dec. 14 in Spain to officially unveil the movie — part of Jones’ efforts to “to raise an awareness of the dangers of Islam to Western Civilization.”

A trailer for the film has already been released in English, Spanish, Urdu, Hindi and subtitles are expected to soon be available in Arabic. The film, itself, will come out in multiple languages as well.

“Muslims say that Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion,” the narrator claims in the film’s preview, as verses showing peace flash across the screen, followed by an image of the World Trade Center in flames. “But the evidence speaks to the contrary — that Islam is a violent, full of hatred and intolerant religion.”

Watch the trailer, below:

Based on the content released so far and on the interview with Jones, it looks as though the film will frame Muhammad as a “child molester, assassin and a self-proclaimed prophet.”

“We are trying to give a factual life of Muhammad,” Jones said. “His life was one that was pretty perverted in comparison to the life of Jesus.”

The pastor said that Muhammad promoted violence and that, even on his deathbed in 632 A.D., he called for his followers “to cleanse the Arabian Peninsula of non-believers” — something that he contends adherents have done for the past 1,400 years.

As far as funding for the film goes, Jones was tight-lipped, only saying that “The Innocent Prophet” is “privately-funded” and that the raising of monies is a joint effort between Stand Up America and Firasat.

There’s likely going to be an overarching fear that some may have upon learning of this film’s impending release — the notion that it will enrage Islamists and cost Americans’ (and others’) lives.

“I guess something like that is always a concern,” Jones said when asked if he’s afraid of the project leading to death and destruction. “You’re always sort of torn back and forth about what to do or not to do.”

But the preacher, whose congregation has dwindled down to about 20 adherents since he began his anti-Islam activism, believes that his message — and free speech — make creating this film paramount. Like his justification for his Koran-burning antics, Jones believes that “Islam cannot be an exception” to free speech rights.

It’s not surprising that, considering his notoriety across the globe and his fervent views, the faith leader is a target of Islamist angst. He claims that he has had over 400 death threats and that he is “always armed.”

“Anytime I travel, we always contact the police at the airport and then the local authorities where we travel to,” he explained, noting the extent to which he goes to in order to maintain his own safety.

Looking back at the chaos that has erupted as a result of some of his projects, TheBlaze asked if he has any regrets or wishes he had done anything differently. He was candid.

“I actually do not,” he proclaimed. “I don’t have any regrets.”

I think that there plenty of us out here who reckon that it’s time to pee or get off the pot.

Are we simply going to lay down and allow our country to be taken over by sub-humans?

If it takes Jones’ fiery rhetoric to provoke the animals into acts of mass treason against the US, so be it.

Like we used to declare during bunkhouse poker games in my oilfield days to guys who were bluffing:

He really needs to get rid of that caricature of Mohammud, which will become a symbol of how “disrespectful” the film is. The picture alone will start the protests. That’s too bad, because the film itself sounds informative– it doesn’t need to be provocative, just informative, and protest against the film itself might make non-Muslims realize that something is up that Islamists do not want the story of their prophet out there for all to see.

No one died because of those films, or the obnoxious atheists with their horrible signs and bashing Christians. If Islamist kill anyone over this film they have proven that they are not peaceful and the author of the film is correct.

Brinkin was best known for “championing equal rights for gays and lesbians. He helped craft San Francisco’s groundbreaking Equal Benefits Ordinance, which became a national model for workplace equality.”

“The human rights/gay rights advocate also had messages linked to his AOL account that included attachments that depict “exploitive sex acts” as well as links to a discussion group that approves of “sexual exploitation of young boys and girls.” We’re talking infants here by the way SURVIVORSAD…babies, not aborted ones mind you- just want to make sure you know Brinkin’s like you on that score..he wants to make sure women have “reproductive rights”- no these are the ones that made it out as it were.

The North American Man Boy Love Association marched in San Francisco Gay Pride Parades early in Brinkin’s career.

Jesus’ life was an open book. He had 12 deciples with him at all times. His entire ministry was about love for one another. It seems that Islam is about violence, murder and its founder did in fact marry a 6 year old. Islam was not, is not nor will it ever be a religion of peace as long as radicals are in control.

There are peaceful moslems in the world but unfortunately, so many are poorly educated and lack basic critical thinking skills that it doesn’t take much for radical elements to whip them into a frenzy.

What you said does not jive with the following verses:

Luke 19:27 But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.

Matthew 10:35-36 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.

Genesis 19:34-36 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Last night I had sexual intercourse with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.†35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and had sexual intercourse with him.

36 So both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father.

2 Samuel 11:3-4…David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.†4 Then David sent messengers to get her. And he had sexual intercourse with her.

David has a reputation in Christianity as being a man after God’s own heart!

      Hey Sirhan…
      Luke 19:27
You fail to mention that Jesus also wept over the His people’s rejection of Him. Then you also fail to mention that after 6000 years of God extending His grace to mankind…when He (Jesus) finally does show up to take control of His creation, He has every right to deal with the unruly in this world as He jolly well pleases and they will get exactly what they deserve…Justice will finally be served, but God is not willing that anyone should perish, He is not in any rush to destroy the unbeliever but at some point mankind’s rejection of their Creator must finally be dealt with.
      Matthew 10:35-36
In that day the believers in Jesus were cast away, arrested, and killed by their own brethren and it’s still going on in many different countries and religions to this very day just like He said it would. Unrepentant, defiant, sinful man does not want to follow the one true God.

In the stories of Lot’s daughters and of King David we get clear examples of the leniency, the longsuffering, the tolerance, and the grace of God in action. When God actually did mandate the death of people in the Bible for sin it was usually after giving them hundreds of years to repent.

You obviously don’t understand anything about the book you are arguing against.

Matthew 10:34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword (In those days a sword was used to cut the throat of ones enemy or to chop off his head).

Luke 12:51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.

The Jesus of the Bible is a Muslim!

Excellent commentary in closing…. I was going to speak to Sirhand however, in my experience, trying to say what you said just doesn’t make a difference in light of the situation. Muslims use the bible as a tool to assert false accusations in which they have no knowledge of other than to use it errantly. Sad!

@ Sir… stick with the Koran ’cause you obviously haven’t a clue as to what the Christian story or the Bible is about

You are trying to relate old testament writings to Jesus which is completely out of context. Maybe you should read the whole book not just the verses you googled to fit your argument.

@ ENDTHEMINDLESSSPENDING- Are you saying Abraham didn’t have sexual intercourse with his sister or that I shouldn’t have posted he did?

You’ve missed the point of my post. The point is even if you buy what is said about Prophet Muhammad, taken in context with the same Prophets of the Bible, Muhammad was no different than them and if they were accepted by God its possible he could have been too.

@P8RIOT: Among other things, Islam teaches that Jews are descendents of pigs, it teaches that anyone who is not a Muslim should be killed, the prophet of Islam (i.e., Muhammad) believed his revelations came from Satan and the god of Islam (i.e., allah) prides himself on being a liar… telling the truth about a demonic religion isn’t bashing it.

I am simply saying that demeaning anyone’s religion, whether it’s Islam, Judaism, or Christianity, does NOT make one a “patriot.” Love of country makes a person a patriot… not hatred of another religion.

Just so you know, I think its equally as disgraceful to bash Christianity… since I am a Christian.

lol – liked the “not bashing” comment :) You make a good point regarding the definition of a patriot. That made me take a quick look at the dictionary.com definition and it looks like we’re both right:

      1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion.
      2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.

I try to steer clear of bashing religion it muddies the water. My main concern is rooting out immoral politicians that have no respect for natural law.

I pledge allegiance to the united “states” of America. ( was written by a socialist ) We used to salute like Hitler’s youth. ( Was changed in the 1940′s to the heart over the chest )

They could simply riot and you’d go to jail. Or are you just going to ensure you’re always safely following the majority?
