Last year, State Farm Insurance released a William Shatner-narrated public service announcement song near Thanksgiving on the dangers of deep-frying your turkey. The 2o12 remix has arrived, and while Shatner’s intentions to promote safety are indeed noble, do you find this video entertaining or just strange?

It’s hard to believe Captain Kirk is 81 years old.
He looks and acts more like 50. He even still rides and shows horses.
God bless him. Hope he lives to be 105.

I love the public service announcement with William Shatner.
A few years back, he actually had an accident while deep frying his turkey.
I’ve heard him tell the story on talk shows. It’s hilarious to hear him tell it.
He came out of it with minor grease burns, and a major damaged ego.

Nov. 22, 2012 at 3:50pmPerhaps he could employ one of the Enterprise’s non-essential personnel to fry the turkey. As I recall from the series, they were numerous and expendable.
