Israeli Arab Arrested as Main Suspect in Tel Aviv Bus Bombing

Israel Police and the Shin Bet security services arrested an Israeli Arab suspected of carrying out the Tel Aviv bus bombing which injured about two dozen Israelis Wednesday.

The arrest of the man police say is connected to Hamas and Islamic Jihad took place shortly after the attack, but police placed a gag order on reports about the sensitive operation until Thursday night.

Israel Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said of the suspect: “He admitted to carrying out the terrorist attack.”

According to reports from journalists covering the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinians were “ecstatic” at the news of the bombing and celebrated what they considered to be an achievement by handing out candy and firing into the air Wednesday afternoon.

One interesting detail: though the suspect presently lives in Israel, he is originally from the West Bank (known to Jews as Judea and Samaria) and was granted Israeli citizenship on the grounds of family reunification. So-called human rights proponents have in the past lambasted Israel for not allowing more Arabs from the West Bank and Gaza, as well as official enemies of the Jewish state Syria, Iran, Iraq and Lebanon, to emigrate to Israel to live with their Israeli spouses.

This arrest is an example which supports Israeli concern about allowing the unrestricted influx of Palestinians into Israel. It’s not the first time family reunification has been exploited by those engaged in terrorism. In January, a 20-year-old granted citizenship on these grounds was arrested for planning an Islamic Jihad-sponsored shooting attack on IDF soldiers.

Holding Israeli citizenship and driving a car with Israeli license plates would allow an individual more freedom of movement, facilitating such an attack.

Ynet reports the man arrested Wednesday was recruited by a terror cell near Ramallah. It provides further details:

The terror cell members used a car belonging to the suspect’s employer to transport the explosive device into Tel Aviv. The employer, an east Jerusalem resident, had no knowledge of the plan.

According to the Shin Bet, the suspect planted the bomb on the bus and then called the terror cell’s commander in Beit Liqya, who then activated the device via mobile phone. More arrests are expected.

The Shin Bet tells Ynet that the attack was in response to the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense, a week-long operation targeting Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure in Gaza.

It sure would be nice if ABC, CBS and NBC news could point out the fact that every time there is a confrontation between the Palestinians and Israelis’, that the Palestinians always start the confrontation’s with the Jews, and then “whine” there heads off! when they are counter-attacked. I would like to point out; that Palestinians are schooled at a young age to cause aggression and encouraged to lie during confrontations they start with Israelis. And due to the fact that Palestinians supporting their own terroristic (Hamas), there will never be peace in the Middle East because of the Palestinians disregard for human life and lack of respect for themselves! This is one of the reasons why they live in such a “dumpy” region, they are to ignorant to progress…

  Can’t recall any news articles featuring reports of Israelis in Australian cities handing their infants signs advocating the beheading of those who insult their god/prophets; or rioting in the streets because they have been depicted in a poor light in some form of media; or demanding that certain freedoms be removed; or demanding the instituting of backward medievIl political/militaristic laws be introduced to cater just to them (and eventually enforce submission from everyone else or implementing their own justice of whipping with electrical cords because a convert had a beer; don’t know of any arrests/court trials of Israelis for planning terrorist attacks on landmarks, local military bases and other sites; or dragging behind a motorcycle those accused of some crime (didn’t notice the Isrealis doing that to the recent bus bomber in Tel Aviv}.

  The world in which you were born into is in a spiritual war. This world, the world you have before you as you live, is the same hurtful world which Jesus was born into….
  
  There is a HUGE delta (difference) between murder and killing with regards to the violent act. One is defensible, the other not… We, as americans, standing under the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights, have the responsibility to stand up to others for others who cannot defend themselves.
  
  Simply stated, from the days of antiquity to present day, I wonder how people would respond if a spouse, a woman in this particular case, was being molested or worse, in the act of being murdered by an intruder; would it be right in the eyes of the LORD to just let it happen?…. I won’t answer that for you as this is your journey….

It it time that western countries realize that muslims will never assimilate and never be loyal citizens. IT is suicide to allow muslims and other 3rd world morons into the borders of western nations. These people cannot be trusted and each one is a virtual spy for Islam or whatever POS religion they belong to. Third world countries are NOT 3rd world because they are poor in resources. They are poor because their people are superstitious, lazy and hateful. When western countries allow these people in their countries and give them rights that they cannot handle, those countries are only hastening the day that their own country becomes 3rd world. We let in these people at our peril. Israel should have known better….but so should we.

  I have started watching an iTunes video podcast entitled “Europe from its Origins” & I just finished Part 5, which is Islamic invasions (the 660-700 AD period). It was pointed out that Rome is always faulted because it fell because barbarian invasions, but there is disagreement here. For centuries Emperors from “Yugoslavia” and/or especially good generals from there, kept the Eastern/Roman Empire afloat after the early sackings. Indeed the entire empire was almost reestablished by
  Justinian (from Constantinople) until the Black Plague hurt the armies/populations/trade which paid the mercenary armies. The Germanic barbarians came down & took over Roman patriarchs’ homes & their slaves & assumed similar positions within Roman society. The difference is that Islam (which was tribes in Saudi Arabia which mainly raided each other & the occasional Persian caravan) was ordered to build fortresses outside each city for their soldiers & NOT take over rich locals’ stuff. Therefore there was NO ASSIMILATION. They just told the locals to collect their religious tithes & such using the old Roman tax system in place for centuries. If there is an immigration problem NOW (or a WORLD problem), that is it. 120 years ago, people crossed the seas with a few possessions, had to be financially sound (to an extent), had to have a sponsor here who could tell you where they were (should they overstay or break laws). These Arab Locusts are in every country in the world. It IS their TAKEOVER Plan to first destroy Saturday (Israel) and Sunday (America). Then the rest of the INFIDELS in the world.
