Three Seriously Injured After Fire at State Department Headquarters

(TheBlaze/AP) — Authorities say three maintenance workers were seriously injured after a fire broke out at the State Department headquarters in Washington.

D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Lon Walls said the fire broke out at around 11 a.m. Saturday in the ductwork on the 7th floor. Workers were able to put out the fire before firefighters arrived, but three people suffered burns, and one man reportedly hurt his knee after falling from a ladder.

Walls specified that one person suffered life-threatening injuries and two others had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

All three were taken to Washington Hospital Center.

State department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the fire broke out during routine maintenance to a mechanical area of the building, though did not give any details. She said the building was briefly evacuated and then reopened.

Luckily they had a great big old American flag to smother the flames. No doubt the 3 injuries came in the scuffle to see who got to start the fire.

I’m sorry all our records on Benghazi went up in flames. But we have this video that survived. Along with all the dirt on anyone who would speak out against Obama. Just dumb luck I guess. Any Navy SEALS paying attention, Special Ops….Just asking. Since America is under attack, I thought they might be interested. Folks we got Pearl Harbor going on here, just a lot less subtle. But just as damaging………

  Yes indeed and don’t forget the ‘civilian army’ that’s part of the health care law and they answer only to the ‘one’. Their very existence should send a shiver down the spine of every American because Adolph Hitler had a civilian army answerable only to him and we know how that turned out. For someone in government to even suggest such an army,he should be impeached and thrown out of office for that alone and that’s not including all the other scandals the Marxist regime has engaged in.

  It’s certainly curious that Obamacare calls for funding of a little known agency called Ready Reserve Corps whose mission is to aide in times of disaster. The agency itself has been around since the 1946 and amended to or restructed since then; most notoriously under Obamacare.
  
  Something else of interest however is the newly created FEMA Youth Corps. They’re trained to give aid in their communities and undergo periodic training. They can be activated at any time like a reserves soldier and are essentially a private army that answers only to FEMA.
