  Ego. I read books by people I don’t often agree with. That’s why I come here. To see the other side and to be convinced…which is what I want. But from what I read here I get pushed more and more to the left…which is what I do not want. All I see for intelligent argument against our president are the same 3 letters. POS. Yeah..that’s…why I came here…to see that. I hate what’s going on. But I hate more what I see here. Good night and good luck.

    If you mean what you say then know that there are thinking, people dedicated to higher principles who come here as well and whose opinions about President Obama are founded in history, reason, common sense and, sadly, the direction in which the Nation is headed.     Don’t just read the comments… actually read/listen to the content. There is no way this site will push you further left unless you’re intentionally headed that way already.

    The data regarding the current President (as well as other leaders on both sides of the aisle) that Glenn and his crew have put together is voluminous and compelling. If you won’t see/hear reason, then… oh well… I can only assume you’re not actually open minded enough to truly consider it.

    Now people are leaving clean chalkboards out in the living room before they leave the house or go to sleep in hopes that they will discover that Glenn Beck left chicken scratch with exclamation marks, the Jewish star, lots of bombs, Family, RPGs, “Agenda 21″ written on a Pokemon, and a big question mark next to what appears to be a picture of a handgun pointed at a giraffe with rabies. The question mark has several lines underneath it, showing emphasis. ….and what appears to be a grizzly bear changing the oil on a car owned by a salmon.

    A decision tree into madness??
    A schematic for his next genius scheme?
    The circle of life or just simply a mental breakdown?
    Only Glenn knows for sure…

    I’ll make it easy for you; some of the articles in here aren’t about convincing you of anything. They are, instead, news. Or banter. Or a light-hearted moment.

    Unless you were referring to the comments section, whereupon I point out that even you are allowed to comment here, so it’s gonna be tough for you to make a comment that the comment section is not intelligent without insulting yourself.

    I will point out that if you are so repulsed by ego, then I’d be interested in your opinion of a president who’s gift to royalty was an Ipod with his own speeches on it.

    The truth is that when it comes to making a case, the left doesn’t want to hear it. I don’t cuss. I don’t insult (unlike you), I restrict my dialogue to the issues and the facts, and liberals flee from any chance that they will be expected to quantify their vote and support for Obama.

    Who was, BTW, referred to today by a member of his most narcicistic posse as a deity today.

    Well Bava , some of mr obamas and his gang of democomies policies have directley ruined my livleyhood. i do not work for the government , so i am 2 years out of steady work. I made moe money under president Bush ‘s last year than i havbe made since the oil bust in the early 80`s . I have not drawn unemployment ever in my life and have not done so now either . Nor do we have food stamps. trying to keep up with the cost of living at my age with hit and miss jobs is very hard. He has spent so much money he has devalued what i had in the bank , So as i see people who have thousand dollars woth of tatoos buying beer with cash and food with my tax money , I get pissed offf and i have not one thing nice to say about Obama or his gang of traitors , terrorists and thieves ! too bad if you go further to the left . soon it will be your tur to be in my shoes , we will see how you feel then ,,,,,, Bra !

    All right BAVA, if you are truly “trying” to come farther to the right try this on for size. Read the constitution and the first 10 amendments. Then tell me that our president is not violating it. Our country was set up different than all the rest. It was set up to be “These” United States not “The” United States. Meaning that the federal government is suppose to be just strong enough to keep the states from fighting and keep them trading with each other. And very strong when it comes to defending the states from enemies both foreign and domestic. A very good example of keeping the states trading would be in the case of health insurance. Why doesn’t the federal government let insurance companies trade across state lines? I could take up the rest of my 700 some characters but I’ll quit now.

    Bava – Thirteen and with mine fourteen posts. Not one posting by yourself in response.
    I’ve read each and all I see is sincere thoughts and beliefs that we Americans would share at the local library, grocery store or town square.

    If this is rough and tumble… Oh well…
    - I would be curious though what television channel / network you had watched three weeks ago for election results.
    - I would also be curious if you only watched the presidential results or what Congressman/Senators, issues results as well.
    - Lastly, did you follow what was only going on in your district/county/state or the elections as a whole and wonder, even know, what direction OUR country would be heading with the results.

    If you follow the day to day, as most here do, you would come to your own conclusion/s.
    Not what some media celebrity or any talking heads opinions are but YOUR OWN!

    An informed mind is an informed/responsible cititizen.
    Either way… stay and be more informed not just by the articles nor the posters. But by both…
    This is a community. Some of our ‘neighbors’ here we have no use for… But we condone them.
    Ok, to an extent…

    I know what you mean about the crudeness of some of the post. Please understand that many of them are trolls but a lot of them are truly people with whom I would agree politically, just not personally. Vulgar people are on both sides of the political spectrum, sadly it seems to be an accepted form of discourse. I will just tell you that though I consider myself conservative, I am a supporter of same sex marriage and not religious. There are many of us out there, we just don’t often post.

    Bava, I feel your pain. Sorry, but you’re at the wrong website. If you want more intelligent conservative thought then try National Review: http://www.nationalreview.com/

    Then look at the BBC (which is inclined to be liberal I admit but gives the UK view of America) and, yes, Al Jazeera, to get a pro-American but less neocon view of the Middle East. If you go to the Huffington Post, then go also to FOX or the Wall Street Journal. The NYTimes is also leans left, but the journalism is better than average, certainly better than FOX.

    But here? This is the website where uneducated people try to outdo each other by seeing who can use the word “communist,” or reference Hitler or Stalin the most. That’s the measure of a good post here, although I admit a few smart people post here.

    BTW, Glenn Beck doesn’t write books. Other people write them, and maybe he suggests a few changes. His latest book was written entirely by Harriet Parke, but Beck bought the rights to claim authorship.

    But here? Nah, very little intelligent conservative opinions.

    I’m always suspicious of the very first commenter. Seems to me that the first comment is a set up…to yank our chain, so to speak. And I think it works well…if what I believe is true. I learn a lot from reading Blazer comments. When we use POS a lot…it’s only because we already know what we mean.

    We don’t have to say a lot of words. It’s already been said a million times. I totally agree with the folks who answered BAVA.

    I use to go to huffpo and other sites to read the other sides view. Then I realized I was just adding to thier bottom line by visiting the site. Advertisers pay based on unique visits. I decided to stop feeding the beast and no longer visit media matters, huffpo or any of the liberal sites. I already know what the unwashed occupy masses that comment on those sites are saying, so why help boost thier bottom line. I for one wish Beck, Drudge would STOP putting up links to any liberal site.

    You are welcome to visit here, but don’t be surprised that we basically just ignore the crazy ranting of the kool aid crew.

    Glenn has a good sense of humor but I am a little put off after tonight’s show on the blaze tv. There is massive voter fraud evidence from the election and he seems to think there was low turn out at the polls. Well, I suppose it would show low turn out if millions of votes just disappeared.     And good riddance to you. Where do you get off judging Glenn and His motivation to term it ego? From your comments about Glenn and the readers here you have never met and therefore know nothing about, you clearly look down on and judge people who call POS to someone who by the way is a POS so all they were doing was speak the truth. There must be nothing in the smallest degree left of your spirit remotely resembling decency to see nothing else in Glenn’s action other than ego which by the way is your version of calling POS so hypocrisy only marginally describes what you think is your sense of self righteousness. Glenn could quite simply have thought it would increase the value of their books and did so out of a sense of gratefulness to a family who clearly were like minded, a thank you for believing in Him. Some people try to look at others with a positive mindset and not see negative as you so obviously are, not only concerning Glenn but as well the readers who post on these pages. When you can’t destroy the message and are instead only able to attack some messengers, your beliefs have no anchor. That is typical of many liberals. If you truly want to learn the “other side of the story”, you will be able to disseminate the truth from the minutia. Your statement sounds angry… as if you want to ignore truth… like a Pravda columnist out of Russia who calls Obama Communist, using Obama’s own words and history. There is no defense against it.     What Mr. Beck did was wrong. I was raised with a simple rule:
    IT IS NEVER RIGHT TO DO WRONG IN ORDER TO DO RIGHT.

    And writing on other people’s property without permission is simply not right.

    Besides, this whole story shows that one of the problems GB does NOT suffer from is humility.

    Imagine the good he could do if he was truly saved and became a Christian. As it stands now, he is simply sending out confusing messages every day.

    BAVA, I’m not buying what you’re selling. Glenn is a good and decent man, and he’ll be the first to tell you he’s far from perfect. His intent is clear when you get right down to it and look at him honestly. Nothing, including this site, pushes me left or right, I’m rooted in principle. Obama is a sad excuse for a president. He’s completely unqualified, and completely misdirecting the country away from personal responsibility and self reliance, two qualities directly related to a thriving society. See the big picture, and keep human nature in mind, and you’ll see that Obama’s path leads to the end of United States as a sovereign nation.

Baloney. If you truly changed your tune because someone said the inhabitant of the White House is a POS ~ you have NO IDEA what politics is about. Look back to Lincoln’s time, or Adams – or even Washington. People were called far worse – (hemaphrodite comes to mind….) and the country survived. Emotions run a little high when the future of the free world is at stake ~ and claiming to be making a decision about what you believe based on some comments on a Glenn Beck website indicates quite a bit about what your real motives are.

    ……..as far as Glenn’s signing of those books? Awesome. I’d be thrilled if it were my house. And I would also do everything I could to get my kids to live close to me, too.

  Glenn was giving away some prints is you donated money to something…..I do not remember now. I wanted to donate and they were saying they were going to run out of the prints so I made my donation saying I would be thrilled to have a signed picture of Glenn. I got both…bless him.

    I framed it and hung it up on the wall that is seen first by those that enter our home along with a large picture of George Washington kneeling by his horse, Joseph Smith, Our Lord and Savior Jesus, and the Last Supper. I love that wall!

    This was just having some fun.
    I developed a product back in 2001 and must admit I enjoyed giving product away to people at trade shows and then watching them figuring out that I was the inventor. Its all in good fun.

    Maybe he is just trying to pass along a good idea. Do good things just because.

    You don’t have to snoop in order to read titles of books in bookcase. When I sold my house many people came thru and commented on our selection of books. When I do home care, it is very telling who you are working for by their books that are around on tables or bookcases. I thought that was a cute story.

  Any of us, who is truly a fan and truly inspired by Glenn… would be thrilled, not appalled… I brought my family of 6 on vacation this summer out to Dallas for “Restoring Love,” and I think I’d mostly be disappointed that I didn’t get to meet Glenn if he toured my house with his daughter as a potential next owner… Having heard this story this morning, and laughed along with so many… I next thought – I hope that Glenn again remembers that God is in control… and doesn’t try too hard to over-influence where his daughter and her new husband decide to buy their home… That she’s considering Texas should be encouraging to him… (Honestly, I’ve never even met Glenn, and I’ve been looking for jobs in Texas after this summer’s trip, and hearing how highly he speaks of the state…)

  I’m happy for Glenn that his daughter and son-in-law are moving to Texas. This segment made me smile :o) I’m like others here – I’d be happy to have Glenn sign my books. Prayers that Glenn, those who work for him and their families stay safe, happy and close to Father in Heaven.

  Glen is a good guy. I have a daughter that loved his show on fox. For her 17th birthday my wife emailed Glen and asked if she could get a signed picture for our daughters birthday.
  He sent it and the cool thing was that the signature was in black sharpie and it matched the black sharpie on the envelope. Hand writhing and all.
  Your ok in my book Glen!!

    You’re clearly sold out for Glenn, and that’s your choice. But if you’re going to idolize the guy don’t you think you’d make a better impression if you spelled his name correctly (It’s “Glenn” and not “Glen”)? You do some spell checking on the rest of your message, too.

  Please stop preaching to the choir. The Blaze only preaches to the choir. In order for conservatives to ever win another election, we must go out and convert 10+ million Americans to the ideas of limited government conservatism. This cannot be done by preaching to the choir. Put up a thousand billboards in swing states promoting the Blaze, then you might start to see some converts.

  Our goal for the next four years must be to CONVERT, not preach to the choir who has heard the same sermon for years. We’re already conservatives. What we need is millions of converts!

  I doubt he would have recognized most of the books in my book collection and signing some of them would have devalued them greatly.

  Darn, I missed that this morning. Had a transformer blow on the next block over at 9:15 and power wasn’t restored until 1pm. Spent the time thinking about the Sandy victims and sending them Blessings.

  Wait till cops find a reason to arrest Beck for vandalism, even though he was in the house at the invitation of the Realtor/owner. They will say he had no right to mess with people’s belongings and the owner has no say about this. Remember the gov’t knows best.

  what a cool way for that family to begin their holiday, especially given the stress of contemplating a move, potentially based on the extreis our economy is in but which the MSM is conveniently ignoring.

  and for the trolls that will roll out of the shadows, no worries, you don’t have beck’s books, so you wouldn’t have to worry about the capitalist profit you would be tempted to reap if he signed yours.
